Ubicación perfecta para explorar Cornwall, pero ofrece paz y tranquilidad con su propia puerta de entrada y estacionamiento fuera de la calle. En una finca privada, rodeada de 10 acres de jardín, áreas de picnic y barbacoa, terraza orientada al sur y una piscina. A solo 10 minutos a pie de Lostwithiel, restaurantes, pubs, tiendas de antigüedades, una co-up y su propia playa.

El proyecto Eden está en el camino y estamos a poca distancia en coche de muchos hermosos pueblos de pescadores y playas.
Lugares de cine famosos también están cerca, Lanhydrock National Trust House 4 millas, el puerto de Charlestown con sus famosos barcos altos (Poldark) 7. 4 millas, Pencarrow house (Rosamunde Pilcher) 12 millas, Port Isaac (Doc Martin) 18. 3 millas, Prideaux place (Rosamunde Pilcher) 24. 6 millas
Cornwall también está lleno de hermosos jardines, espectaculares paseos por la costa y el paisaje salvaje de Bodmin Moor, todo a su alcance.

Formando parte de la capilla convertida hay cuatro cabañas que ofrecen alojamiento de planta abierta, que comprende una sala de estar en la planta baja, cómodamente amueblada con TV / radio y DVD con canales Freeview. Una gran ventana de estilo gótico, con magníficas vistas al sur a través del Valle de Fowey, se complementa con cortinas hasta el suelo y un asiento junto a la ventana. La cocina totalmente equipada incorpora nevera, horno, vitrocerámica, microondas, hervidor de agua, tostadora, sartenes, vajilla y cubertería. Las escaleras conducen al dormitorio de la galería con cama doble y baño con ducha.

La fuente de la cama de la cabaña se puede dividir en dos camas individuales, la cabaña Rose también tiene un sofá cama ideal si también está buscando acomodar a un niño (se aplican cargos adicionales). Cunas disponibles bajo petición.

The cottage is in a stunning location surrounded by trees fields and beautiful gardens. The cottage was equipped with everything you could need and we were greeted with a lovely cream tea with cllotted cream. Lostwitheil is in a very central position so many costal towns and bays are only within a few minutes drive away.I am going to book another stay for a week if there is a cottage available. Pia was a perfect host very warm and friendly. I cant wait to go back and discover the area more thoroughly. The Eden Project is about 15 minutes drive away and we also enjoyed zip wire experince over the Eden domes. Such a beautiful area I recommend for quiet idyllic country holiday. For those who have problems with their legs, it is quite a walk to the village and back so I recommend going by car, but I have had 2 knee surgerys. The alpacas were also a treat to see!

Peregrine Hall is off a main road, up a rather pot-holey lane. The Cloisters is accessed by a narrow alley-way, up one side of a large granite old chapel, rather hidden by shrubbery & no signage or external lighting (only motion activated on a doorway)At 4 & 5 stars it was vastly over rated. The high star rating is clearly based on the location (very convenient & quiet) & the large grounds (although a little over grown). The old chapel is divided into 4 units each with an open plan ground floor, a large window with garden view (had the plants been trimmed we could have seen the view) & a mezzanine level which had bedroom & shower room. A clever use of the space but the shower room was very narrow & became very steamy. The party wall is thin & neighbours voices can be heardIt all needs drastically updating & some tlc, other accommodation at this price have much better & modern appliances & utilities. The kitchen had what was required but basic - toaster, old cooker, old microwave, a cafetière, no coffee machine which most places provide these days. A non-digital small TV which couldn’t be turned on/off by the remote & the remote for DVD didn’t work either. The decor was more shabby than chic, not popular ‘Vintage’- just old fashioned! The bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on, the mattress is way past needing to be replaced, when sitting on the edge it completely flattened.Adequate for week-end stay or just wanting a base but a long way from luxury.

The misunderstanding I think it that we are not rated as luxury 5* but rather independently rated as 4*, so this is possibly why your expectations were not met. Cloisters is part of an old chapel and decorated in keeping with mostly solid oak furniture. We offer historic period charm rather than modern luxury with all the latest kitchen gadgets. I admit the television only turns on and off on the plug but the remote works perfectly otherwise. The DVD remote needed the batteries changed which I did within an hour. I apologise for the guests next door, other guests did complain about their shouting, normally as other people have commented the cottages are quiet. Thank you for your kind comments on the grounds, the plants have certain sprung up after a few weeks of rain following a very dry summer.

Traumhafte Location, sehr nette Gastgeber, Hündin hat mit Coco und Lilly Freundschaft geschlossen. Man hat Alles was man braucht um sich selbst zu verpflegen. In schöner , ruhiger Atmosphäre, ideal um nach dem Ausflügen zu entspannen. Ideal , würde auf jeden Fall wieder hierherkommen. Absolute Weiterempfehlung wenn man mit Hund verreist.

Lovely retreat in an accessible spot in Cornwall

This property is a really comfortable conversion of part of an old chapel on a very attractive site (there are three similar units in the rest of the chapel). The pictures give a very good representation, if anything underselling the amount of comfort in the mezzanine bedroom. The views are lovely and the accessibility to the town (an easy walk down and a little more demanding to come back up the hill) is excellent. It’s also in a great place to reach the rest of Cornwall very effectively. If we’re being picky, the cooker could do with an update (we like cooking when we’re on holiday) but it’s a great place to go and we will return when the opportunity arises.

Fabulous holiday

Me and my partner had a fab time here. The apartment was clean, the owners were so friendly, they even had a cream tea waiting for us on arrival and it was in such a lovely area. It was very relaxing and peaceful. You do have to drive everywhere but we really didn't mind. The only thing I would say is the cottage we were in could do with a teeny but of modernising. The oven was quite old fashioned and took me a few days to figure out as it took a long time to cook anything. The TV was quite small too which was a shame as we had a couple of rainy days in and couldnt really see it too well. Regardless of that, i would highly recommend it. It was our first holiday together and we loved it.

Cornwall break 2021

Lovely property which was well equipped however was not a 10 minute walk from the village centre and was up a very steep hill. Owners were “frosty” to my wife and I if they spoke at all - Disappointing overall

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was surprised by getting a two star rating so did write to you for more detail. People have always said we are friendly and welcoming. We introduce ourselves on your day of arrival providing you are in and available, then are about if you need us. We try to be uninstructive and give you privacy but I'm sorry if you would have preferred more interaction. You also said that it wasn't the cottage that was disappointing but the distance into town. I walk it regularly, it is a 10 minute walk down and a 15 minute walk back up, but this obviously depends on your walking speed. Cornwall is all up and down hills, I'm sorry that this effected your stay so profoundly.

We had a great stay in a unique place. Pia and family gave us a warm welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The apartment clean and comfortable. We would like to return in the future.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved staying in one of the Chapel Cottages at Peregrine Hall! Pita and her parents were ever so welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was great. Everything was wonderful and the village of Lostwithiel is in a perfect location. It has everything you’d need: a train station, grocery store/co-op, pubs, shops, a picnic area by the Fowey river and more. All of which is within walking distance of the Hall. Couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend it!! Absolutely perfect!!

Staying at Peregrine Hall is a delightful experience.

Peregrine Hall is well situated for exploring Cornwall and Lostwithiel. The accomodation is very comfortable and well appointed. I immediately felt at home and welcomed by the family who own and run the site. It is a very peaceful and pleasing location. I will stay here again and have no hesitation recommending Peregrine Hall to my family and friends..

Wonderful grounds & building

The building is very impressive and the grounds are extensive with excellent views. The apartment we stayed in is a little dated but it appears the owners are working their way around updating. Lostwithiel is a short walk away, the globe pub is nice and serves good food. The walk back will take you longer as it's all up hill though

Beautiful building and lovely people

We had booked this cottage online and without any reviews and also paid by bank transfer which had made us a bit dubious but from that moment on we were kept up to date by Pia, On arrival we definitely knew we had made the right choice. The cottage is part of the old chapel and had a lounge/diner/kitchen with a bedroom and en suite on the mezzanine. Really handy to the A390 for exploring this great county and just a 10 min. stroll into the village which has 2 supermarkets and several pubs, plus antique shops. A big plus is Free Parking in the Village! The people were great, Pia, her father Nigel and her mother who's name escapes me. They were very helpful in all manners of ways, be it information about local sites or just enjoying a friendly chat. We intend going back sometime with friends. Really enjoyed our stay.
