Lovely spacious property overlooking the sea , Very comfortable accommodation, access to very good local amenities, pubs shops and restaurants. Would like to come back.

Very peaceful, comfortable well equipped house. You get your steps in if you stay in the 2 main ensuite bedrooms on the 2nd floor though, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. There's a small double and childrens bedroom on the first floor. One of the main ensuites and the small double both have quite low beds for getting in and out of. Parking for 2 cars on the drive is ideal so that you can leave the car and walk into the town/harbour, which is about 10/15 mins walk away. Little beach across the road with rock pools is great, without the crowds. Communication with the owners was great. Would definitely recommend for a base to discover this beautiful area.

Very responsive host to any query we had in advance or whilst there, including new years day query about the oven. Lovely and bright and clean. Has anything you need, and gorgeous views of the waves and easy wander into amble itself. Would definately return

Jewel of the Northumberland Coast

Perfect position on a quiet coastal road with glorious views and only 5 mins from harbour area and centre on Amble. Amble has a quaint harbour area and plenty of eating and drinking options. House is clean and has everything you need with a beautiful lounge with a view!!

Fabulous multigenerational stay

We loved the Coastal Retreat. It served us very well for our short stay in Amble celebrating a double birthday. We had four generations and everyone enjoyed the space. The children particularly liked the bunk bed room and its decor. Sasha was very responsive and a great help. We would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect holiday

We liked the location of the property and the layout of the bedrooms suited our family. It was very useful to have the ladder locker on the bunk bed which meant our 2 year old grand daughter could safely sleep in the bottom bunk bed knowing she could not climb to the top bunk bed. Kitchen well equipped as well.

Coastal Retreat

Amazing home in an amazing location. The house is fantastic - very well equipped and the welcome tray was very much appreciated. Locals were super friendly and updated us on things we could do round about the area. We only stayed a weekend but wouldn’t hesitate returning for a longer stay. We stayed with elderly relatives so didn’t take advantage of the long amazing walks that were on the doorstep. House is beautifully decorated, the beds were super comfy. We had a fantastic weekend - thank you!

Lovely relaxing break

This house is beautiful, spacious and located a short distance from the sea front. Booking and check in process straight forward and Covid friendly. Handy for all local amenities and child and dog friendly. Only minor complaint was that some of the pots had to be rewashed prior to use. The kitchen would also benefit from a teapot!

Thanks for the review. Sorry about the Teapot. There was a lovely yellow one. It must have been broken and I had not noticed it missing. I have had a word with the cleaning team to ensure they fully inspect all the dishes Regards Sasha

Delightful sea view. Found the Key Safe very fickle to use. Whilst the linen was spotless, at almost 80years of age I was not expecting to be asked to strip my bed on holiday!

Thank you for the review. I understand your issue with the stripping of the beds. If we had been asked we could have arranged for the beds to be stripped. Instructions regarding check out procedures including stripping the beds is sent a few week before arrival. Had we been made aware of a problem with the key box I could have had someone from maintenance have a look at it and take any necessary steps to improve its operation

Great Get Away

Lovely property on three floors. Plenty of space and easy access to all amenities. Would definitely go again. If you are non smokers remember to take matches for the gas hob.

This has happened a number of times. the power to the gashob gets turned off resulting in the ignition not working. This is now checked to ensure it has been switched on
