When modernity does not erase the traces of what came before it, a blend of influences emerges that lends a unique charm to the living space without neglecting the importance of functionality and comfort. When accommodations like this are made available to those planning to stay in the lagoon city—especially when they offer a picturesque view of a typical, wide Venetian canal—properties like “Salute” come to life.

"Salute" is located in a truly unique part of Venice—a strip of the city that juts out alongside one of the city’s main thoroughfares, yet manages to slip away from it with ease. The cluster of buildings stretching between the Ponte dell’Accademia and the former customs complex embodies all the tranquility and charm of a Venice yet to be fully explored, even though it is not actually isolated or devoid of well-known points of interest. Dotted with various shops and ateliers that tastefully and elegantly showcase artisanal products rooted in the local culture yet possessing an undeniable international flair, it is home to—or located near—major contemporary art museums such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Punta della Dogana. You’ll also find yourself just a short walk from the Emilio Vedova Foundation, the unmissable collection of paintings housed at the Gallerie dell’Accademia, as well as the imposing church dedicated to Santa Maria della Salute, the significant museum complex comprising Palazzo Cini, and numerous other attractions related to local cuisine and culture. It should be noted that the aforementioned somewhat peripheral and isolated nature of this part of the city is perfectly offset by its excellent access to public transportation. In fact, in just a few minutes, you can reach the boarding points for the city’s main waterbus lines, thus easily accessing both other parts of the historic center located along the two main routes (the Grand Canal or outside the main urban core) and other island areas of interest (San Giorgio Maggiore, Giudecca, and Lido).
The property can be reached on foot or, much more easily, by public transportation (Line 1 – “Salute” stop), as the pier for this stop is about a five-minute walk from the apartment. The apartment is located on the second floor, and there is no elevator or freight elevator in the building.
