Este condominio de vacaciones frente a la playa se encuentra en Destin Florida a lo largo de la Costa Esmeralda. Su balcón privado ofrece una hermosa vista de la playa, que está a pocos pasos. Unidad 509 es para no fumadores y ha sido recientemente actualizado con muebles nuevos en la sala de estar y un 37 "HDTV. La cocina es la delicia de un chef con nuevos gabinetes personalizados (primavera de 2012) encimeras de granito, nuevos electrodomésticos, iluminación empotrada y un nuevo piso de baldosas. El comedor tiene una nueva decoración con sillas tapizadas y taburetes de bar. Las habitaciones tienen colchones nuevos y ropa de cama. El baño ha sido completamente re-modelado (Invierno 2013) - cabina de ducha w / asiento y tocador doble. Baño de invitados también ha sido actualizado. Capacidad para 6 personas con un rey en el maestro, gemelos en el huésped, y un sofá cama tamaño queen en la sala de estar. Nueva iluminación y azulejos en todo (dormitorios alfombrados) completa este atractivo condominio. La unidad tiene una impresora, copiadora y fax para uso de nuestros huéspedes.

Great property and very easy access to pool and beach. We had a party of 5 with plenty of room and space . Top bunk in bedroom is very big , can easily accommodate an adult or 2 kids .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. This was our first experience staying in a condominium and we would definitely be willing to stay again. Our room was great. It was clean and well maintained. My one complaint would be that the elevators both struggled the entire week. They left you with a feeling that you may not get off once you get on. A frustration that I would mention would be that our condos seem to have a considerable amount less beachfront than the condo to our right and to our left.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay! The condo was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the beach, water and waves! The fifth floor offered just the right vantage point to see the beach. The location in Destin was convenient to all the places we wanted to go. We appreciated that beach towels were available in the unit. We can’t wait to schedule our next trip!

Lovely week at the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at the Islander since, I believe, 1992, in the Fall. This is the first time we have been in November, but it was a really enjoyable choice. The weather was perfect. Unit 509 was an excellent choice. It had obviously been recently renovated, and was so nice. We really enjoyed our time there. Over the years, I have recommended The Islander to friends and relatives, and I know several who have stayed there. It is such a nice location and has always been so well-maintained and updated. Hope to be back next year.

Had a blast!

Only one elevator worked and it was somewhat frustrating but definitely not enough to deduct stars or say I wouldn’t stay again. Property was well kept, front desk was friendly and helpful. They have great activities for families and my sons had a wonderful time. Short walk to the beach where Alan was waiting to help with chairs and he is always super helpful and nice. Both pools were very clean and we would absolutely stay here again.

Disappointed in Our Experience

We loved the bracelets for the door keys, and the buggies provided out front. Both of these were nice touches that improved our stay. However, our condo had a horrible smoke smell. It smelled like it had been smoked in and attempted to have been covered up. Drove our allergies crazy our entire stay which had us all miserable. We were also told that we could not get additional linens or fresh towels because of the days our stay was for, said we missed “linen day”. This was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard while staying at a paid for establishment! On top of this, the only elevator at the entire resort was out of order, which made EVERYTHING we did take significantly longer than it should have. Very disappointed in the experience we had, especially considering the cost that was paid to have been there having to deal with all of this!

Not returning to Islander

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to ride front desk staff. One working elevator that’s was extremely slow. Took 1 hour to get all of our stuff to room. The room was nice although most cabinets locked by owner so you didn’t have a lot of room to your stuff. Longer walk to beach than i thought but it was fine. Once we got to beach first day no chairs and umbrellas available. I was told to go at 9am by staff and welcome paper. Each room states free chairs and umbrella but it’s limited amount which no one stated. We had to get up at 6:30 everyday after to get a chair. No laundry in room which I knew but j will say the laundry rooms wash and dry well.

Beach getaway

Great property. We stayed with our two kids and everyone had a blast. Convenient to restaurants and shopping too. Our only complaint was that the elevators could use some maintenance. We will be back again.

Another great stay at the Islander!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself is clean, however the pillows cases were stained, there's a damage on the balcony chair, and we had problems with the fridge while staying there which caused us have to throw our veggies and eggs away because of the frost in the fridge (the veggies' side). I don't like the towels exchange thing there, they only allow us to exchange towels twice a week (this is ridiculous) because there aren't any washer and dryer in this unit nor they do daily room cleaning. If you have 6 people stay in this unit and you arrive to the unit on Friday or Saturday, then you won't have enough towels to use for sure because you'll exchange for new towels on Tuesday and Thursday ONLY which means you have to use "dirty" towels in the mean time. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this vacation place because they make the online consent form so serious/difficult for people to sign such as: you have to pay extra for cleaning if it gets so dirty in the condo by the time you checkout even though it has included in your booking fee, stain towels, etc ... but things in the unit is NOT as new so they should not make things so difficult for vacationers. There are 2 elevators and the air is SO hot in the elevators.
