Este espacioso ático de dos niveles frente al mar lo tiene todo: pisos de mármol, encimeras de granito y paredes de vidrio que ofrecen vistas panorámicas del Caribe. Las puertas corredizas de vidrio se abren a terrazas envolventes que tienen mesas y sillas, salones y hamacas, desde donde se puede disfrutar tanto de los amaneceres del océano como de los atardeceres de la jungla.
La cocina, la sala y el comedor es un gran espacio abierto rodeado por dos paredes de vidrio que ofrecen a los huéspedes una vista de 180 grados del océano.
La cocina bien surtida con una gran encimera de granito y barra, le permite disfrutar de la vista al mar y entretenerse mientras prepara comidas o mezcla bebidas. Más allá del área de la cocina se encuentra el centro de entretenimiento con un televisor de 43 pulgadas en el que puede ver su elección de más de 100 DVD, estéreo y CD, juegos y una gran selección de libros y guías turísticas. La mesa de comedor superior de cristal está un escalón y da al océano y a la bahía de Akumal. Puede dejar los controles deslizantes de vidrio abiertos para disfrutar de la brisa del Caribe o simplemente comer afuera en la mesa en la terraza.

La unidad del ático está en el tercer y cuarto piso y solo es accesible por escaleras (30), también tiene paredes bajas / barandas abiertas que rodean las terrazas, lo que puede hacer que no sea adecuado para niños pequeños. El alquiler incluye servicio de limpieza diario (excepto los domingos) y conserjes las 24 horas que lo ayudarán con su equipaje.

This property was absolutely amazing! Perched at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Akumal, it offers stunning ocean views to the east and breathtaking jungle views to the west. The location was perfect for us—outside the hustle of Tulum but close enough to enjoy everything both Tulum and Playa del Carmen have to offer (even Cancun if you're up for a longer drive). However, the quality and variety of restaurants, small shops, and convenience style grocery/general stores in Akumal, many of which are within walking distance or a very short drive from the property, were fantastic.A couple of things to be aware of: stairs. That incredible view comes with a climb. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s worth noting if you or someone in your group has mobility concerns. Also, while the beach directly in front of the property is beautiful, it’s made of razor-sharp limestone that’s not easily walkable—especially at night. Stick to the road to reach the sandy beaches just a short distance away in either direction.This is an outstanding, clean, and well-maintained property. The host, cleaning service, and property management team were all attentive and welcoming. We would absolutely recommend this place to most travelers and are already looking forward to returning as soon as we can.

Maria kept everything nice and clean. The pool and air conditioning was great. There was no beach, just rocks. A little disappointed there was no hot tub. The king size bedroom down stairs leaked on the bed, when it rained really hard. Nice selection of games and a beautiful sunrise. The General store and the restaurants nearby were ridiculously overpriced.

The property was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need, so many games and puzzles for our stormy days, a lovely pool for cooling off, the master bathroom is really spectacular looking out over the forrest, the housekeeper was delightful and it was great having the fridge stocked before arriving with the help of the owners, who were always quick to respond with any questions. The property is an easy walk to local restaurants either direction. In hindsight we wish we had hired a car, it was very hard negotiating a remotely fair taxi rate to take you anywhere and the golf carts were expensive to rent. You also can not park the golf cart anywhere without paying which was frustrating. We also were not prepared for all the tour guides swarming you as you walk from the house towards Turtle Bay, trying to sell you snorkeling tours and boat tours. It is crucial to know that you can just walk to the counter and buy a wrist band, or visit the beach bar for breakfast/lunch/a drink and not even have to buy the wrist band. We never had a bad meal, those sticky buns are the most delicious things ever! We did try and contact the property manager on several occasions, but never got a response, but the owners were very helpful. The sea grass is a terrible problem, we were prepared, but it definitely impacted our stay. Our fishing trip was amazing, and having it cooked up for us was so special. Great trip and fabulous property.

Great Stay

Loved our 2 weeks in Akumal. Lots of space in the property. Bedrooms were large and cool! No AC in other rooms, but the fans and ocean breezes helped keep it cool even though we were there in an unusually hot and humid spell (end of May, first of June). Gorgeous views. Close to many restaurants and activities.

A hidden gem! You can't possibly be disappointed!

Our stay was absolutely beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice! We had 2 children (pre-teens) and six adults ranging from 30's to 60's. The condos location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to half moon bay and Akumal bay! We didnt need a rental car which was great. We did rent a golf cart which was handy for some of us who didn't want to walk everywhere. There were Aa variety of great restaurants and little markets in walking distance. The condo itself is so much prettier and bigger in person. Absolutely gorgeous!! Great pool, beautiful, clean property. The gardeners are amazing and Maria, the housekepper, is outstanding.The staff here are the friendliest and most accomidating people i've met! They really go above and beyond. Some of the residents here stay for a few months our of the year and they were so kind and helpful to us! The host was extremely responsive and accomidating to our needs.There is a guard on duty 24/7 and we felt so safe here! The town akumal was a perfect family destination. Best VRBO I've ever stayed in!

Great place to stay in Akumal

We loved our stay!The condo is very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and well supplied. The ocean views are beautiful. The pool is very pleasant as well. A great place to relax.The host Rosemary is great, provides timely responses, offers many recommendations, and even provided a high-chair and portacrib for the 9-month old baby who was with us.We highly recommend this place if you are planning to stay in Akumal.

The Perfect Stay

Can’t say enough about how excellent the stay was. Francisco and Maria were the best. Our host Rosemary was great. Informative, timely responses, great recommendations. The condo its self was perfect. Excellent space, great views, relaxing. A great place to start and end your day or just spend all day relaxing. We will definitely book this place with Rosemary again when we return to Akumal. We high recommend stay here.

Perfect Location with The Most Beautiful Views

Myself, husband, sister in law and six children stayed for a week in this beautiful spacious home! Location was perfect with easy access to restaurants and daily activities! The house was exactly as described and we had no issues all week long. Property grounds were so nice, security 24/7, we felt safe with all our children. Lots to do in the area. Pool and views were unforgettable!

Spring Vacation

Everything about our stay at Mi Casa Del Mar was perfect. The penthouse is beautiful with lovely views. The entire complex is very quiet. If you have children, the pool is fantastic, but you cannot access the water from the front of the unit because of the surf and rocks, but there are beaches close within walking distance, or you can rent a bike for the week. Rosemary was very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend this property.

OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We've stayed a Mi Casa Del Mar A4 many times and it never disappoints. These's not a better spot on the coast IMHO. Spacious with unbelievable views of the ocean, conveniently located, well appointed without being fancy or fussy and responsive staff. We love it!

Paradise in Akumal

This is a WOW property! The layout of the condo is fabulous and the view from all outside decks are absolutely amazing. The condo is ideally located to walk into town, to Akumal Beach, to Half Moon Bay and the lagoon. Rosemary sent very helpful information before our visit that is very comprehensive and really helped us out. Maria is wonderful and kept us supplied with clean beach towels and drinking water. I really have to think about anything that wasn’t great and the only thing I can think of is the shower head in the master suite could be changed so the spray isn’t so strong - very minor. Highly recommend this piece of paradise.

Our stay was wonderful. The home is spotless, and just like the pictures. Good supplies in the cupboard, fabulous view, close to shopping, beautiful beaches and good restaurants. Rosemary answered all of my questions and gave me good suggestions. One night it rained very hard and there was a leak in the roof over the bed in one of the rooms so better check if you encounter heavy rain! A quick bucket caught the water and it stopped as soon as the rain eased up. I would definitely stay again and was sad to leave. The place was comfortable and everything we could have hoped for.l

Mi Casa Del Mar was beautiful, our condo was beautiful exactly as pictured if not better. Loved the view, and other guests were lovely! The area is more laid back and peaceful. Less busy then other areas. Would definitely stay here again. My family and I had a wonderful time!

My husband (John), American, is retired from the IMF. I (Rosemary) am English and a retired Nursery School Director. We searched for 5 years for a Caribbean beachfront location to spend several months each year during our retirement. When we accidentally found the gem that is Akumal along the Riviera Maya in Mexico we knew we had found our second home.

Akumal is an exceptionally friendly, quiet little beach town, with fabulous snorkeling, offering coral reef and sea turtles right from the beautiful white sand and palm tree beach.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Mi Casa del Mar is an attractively designed building of 14 condo units on four levels. The common areas include a large shaded lobby, ocean-front infinity pool, lounge chairs, and shaded gazebo. The condo is about a 5 minute walk from Akumal village and the beautiful Akumal Bay. It is close enough to enjoy the powder white beach and numerous turtles of the bay and the delicacies of the local restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of being off the beaten track. Walking 5 minutes in the other direction takes you to the picturesque Half Moon Bay and other restaurants and gift shops. About a 20 minute walk from the condo is Yalku Lagoon where for a small fee you can snorkel in the calm, clear waters of the lagoon with hundreds of tropical fish.
