Con una ubicación central entre la playa de Akumal Bay y la playa de Half Moon Bay, Casa del Mar es una cómoda casa de 3 dormitorios y 3 baños que tiene capacidad para 7 personas. Para grupos más grandes de hasta 10, le recomendamos que reserve Casa del Mar y Nicte Ha (al lado) juntos. las tarifas de alquiler especiales pueden aplicar cuando ambas casas se alquilan juntas.

El salón principal de Casa del Mar con vista al Caribe cuenta con una cocina completa, sala de estar y comedor con Smart TV para Netflix, SAT y WIFI. El dormitorio principal está en el nivel superior con cama king size, baño en suite y aire acondicionado. La habitación es muy espaciosa, con una agradable terraza con vista al mar, amueblada con hamacas y muebles de patio para que disfrutes.

También en el nivel superior hay un dormitorio más pequeño con vista al jardín y aire acondicionado, perfecto para los niños. Esta habitación está amueblada con una cama individual y una cama doble. Hay un gran baño privado con ducha y una caja fuerte de seguridad. El dormitorio King inferior tiene una puerta que conduce a la cubierta de la piscina junto al jardín. Allí encontrará tumbonas para disfrutar, así como una mesa de patio para comer y una parrilla de carbón. El baño del dormitorio inferior se comparte con la sala de estar. Esta casa tiene aire acondicionado en las habitaciones solamente. El salón principal atrapa una fabulosa brisa marina.

We had a great time. It’s powerful to wake up and be by the ocean. The second floor bedroom overlooks the ocean. Exceptional and friendly staff on site. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the animals, like iguanas, in the yard. The sunrises should be enjoyed from the rooftop.

Great House in Akumal

My family of 4 stayed here for Spring Break and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, clean and well located. Akumal itself is charming with some shops and fun restaurants in walking distance. We ventured out by car for most activities - Beach Club, Mayan Ruins, Snorkeling, etc and found Akumal to be well located along the coast between Tulum and Playa del Carmen. We would easily stay here again!

Beautiful Home on Half Moon Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Mar. It's a beautiful home, with beautiful grounds & pool and a lovely view from the rooftop. Over the past 20 years, we've stayed in several properties in Akumal and have never been disappointed. Akumal is truly magical, the people are wonderful and we always feel welcome.

The house was perfect for our 10 day stay with a great location. Very walkable to many restaurants, the lagoon and beach. The home its self was great very well kept by the maintenance and cleaning team. Private pool and ocean views definitely would recommend to a friend.

WONDERFUL!

Our week at Casa De Mar was so wonderfully relaxing. Comfortable, clean home with the ocean breeze blowing through in the afternoon. The resident iguanas kept my boys occupied for hours. The staff was kind, professional, and always available. Absolutely recommend the property!

Great place to spend a vacation

Views were fantastic, pool was just the right size. Walking distance to restaurants. Beach was very rocky, not safe to swim right there, but safe swimming up north a bit. Access to Akumal bay is now restricted, so we were disappointed by that, but the stay was great.

Walking to Akumal's two beaches will take less than 10 minutes. One can access Akumal beach for swimming/snorkeling by going through the entrance next to the dive shop. There is a $5.00 per person charge for use of lockers and bathrooms. Akumal beach can also be accessed at Lol Ha restaurant. Buy a drink and a snack and enjoy the beach without paying an entrance fee. We hope you will visit Akumal again in the future. Happy travels always, Akumal Direct Reservations

Great place, great staff, great time.

This is a "Goldilocks" property in Akumal - just the right size at the right location. The team that runs this property is first rate. The house was clean and well-stocked. We felt safe. It's close to several good restaurants and an easy drive to both Tulum and Playa del Carmen. It's on the Gulf, but not on the beach. But beach is close. We would (and will) look for this property next time we visit Akumal.

The description and pictures reflect the true attributes of the property. While it is not on a beach, it gives you easy access to many water based actvities (Snorkeling, Scuba, boat rentals) at the Akumal Dive Center which is within walking distance (Approx 10 min along a residential rd) from the house. Akumal dive center seems to be a very popular destination for snorkelling. There are grocery shopping options and few dining options nearby. the caretaker is very helpful. If you have a car and like your privacy then this is the location for you. It gives you easy access to sites in Tulum by car and there are quite a few cenotes with a few miles.

Best place ever!

When we arrived to Casa Del Mar we were blown away by the beauty of the place. The ocean views were the best we ever had. The house was cleaned and super spacious for our family of seven. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were supper comfortable, and having 3 full bathrooms was a plus. We used the pool every single day and were able to barbecue while the kids were playing in the pool. Maria, Julio and Santos were just amazing!! They were all very courteous, respectful and very helpful. Angel, the property manager came to introduce him self the next day and was so profesional and prompt to answer every time we needed him. The house is located within a 5-10 minute walk from Akumal beach and it in a very safe neighborhood. I can not wait to come back to Casa Del Mar!

Lovely Home on the Ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I spent two lovely weeks at Casa Del Mar. This was our second time staying at this property and it will not be the last. This home is not luxurious but it is lovely, clean, and comfortable. The staff are wonderful and friendly. They took excellent care of us. There are several things we particularly like about this home. First, it is within easy walking distance ( 1/2 mile or less) to many excellent restaurants. We particularly liked Jungle Cafe and Imelda’s for breakfast and La Lunita for dinner. Secondly the location of the pool on the west side of the house away from the ocean is perfect. You can enjoy the morning sun on the east side patio facing the ocean then follow the sun to the pool side later in the day. The pool itself is well maintained, deep and long enough to swim short laps. Third, the view of the ocean is the highlight of this home. It is spectacular.

Exceeded all our expectations - Amazing!!

We (two couples) stayed at Casa del Mar for ten days, and it was a last-minute booking. The communication was excellent, the directions were clear, and the check-in process was seamless. When we entered the villa, we were blown away by its cleanness, style, space and layout. Everything is working, and toilets flush with pressure; great hot showers, multiple bathrooms, AC units and fans in every room, SUPER QUIET and efficient. The beds are very comfortable. The VIEW is sunning. Great private pool. Lots of sunbeds around the villa with fresh beach towels provided daily. The area has several excellent restaurants serving fresh seafood and Mexican cuisine. A great beach is just 10 min walk. Also, as a bonus, daily cleaning and room service were provided - all the dishes were done for us. They also did our laundry for a small fee. Because of Casa del Mar amenities and the village around it, we actually changed our vacation plans, ate in local restaurants and enjoyed the local beach, cancelling many of our planned day trips to PDC. We will be coming back. This place is a rare gem!!

Gem of a Casa

Casa del Mar is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. This is my 4th time vacationing in Akumal and this is my favourite hosue out of the 4. It’s nice and private with jungle greenery on one side and a rocky shore few people walk on. You can walk down the shore (wear shoes) to the beach at Half Moon Bay or in the other direction to Akumal Beach to swim and snorkel. 5-10 minute walk (or quick golf cart ride) to many amazing restaurants. We did takeout most days so we could eat on the patio facing the ocean. Waking up to the sounds and sight of the ocean is priceless. The beds, sheets and pillows are of excellent quality (I forgot to ask what brand they are as I’d like to purchase some for my house!) and I slept very well. Towels were soft and plentiful.The pool is a perfect temperature and we spent a lot of time floating with the great-tailed grackles serenading us with their beautiful bird calls. My sons had fun exploring the beach and finding small blowholes. They also loved the friendly wildlife—2 agoutis and 3 iguanas (Our pharmacy delivery person named them Little Larry, Medium Larry, and Large Larry)!This is the best stocked vrbo I have ever rented. Paper towels, Ziploc bags, cooking utensils, new gas stove, quality pots and pans…No dishwasher but Mari washes all your dishes, so no worries! Julio keeps the pool and surroundings sparkling clean and brings replacement water jugs well before we might run out. I wish we were still there!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first stay at Casa Del Mar was in 2014 with some friends. This time, it was us, our four young kids (infant to 5-year-old), and grandma - and there was still plenty of room for the whole gang. We’ve stayed all over Akumal the last ten years, including old and new condos along Half Moon Bay. None can quite provide the homey, beachy feeling like Casa Del Mar does. It’s close to both beaches, the west-facing pool is awesome, Mari and Roberto make you feel right at home... it’s just perfect. Most places in the area have east-facing pools that are shade-covered by late afternoon - but not here! The west-facing pool gets sun into the evening and without constant wind off the ocean. The “on-site” iguanas and hermit crabs were extra entertainment for the kids. With seven people, packing lightly would have been a struggle but Mari was able to do laundry several times during our stay, which was a lifesaver. We love CDM, and I’m sure we’ll be back. Beautiful home with great views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Casa del Mar provides sunrise and sunset views, depending on whether you face the sea or the land. The interior and landscaping are impeccably maintained. The main-floor bedroom was perfect for one guest. We enjoyed the master suite with seaside balcony, while a friend said his bedroom with its own bathroom was fine, too. The bedrooms are air-conditioned; rest of house is not. The kitchen has everything necessary to fix meals—or not. We usually ate breakfast in the casa, dinner out (or leftovers in). We had Chef Carlos make pibil chicken one night. It was okay. Our favorite restaurant was the Tavena Akumal, which turns out to be part of a US chain, though has great, fresh shrimp. The main restaurant at Lo-Ha’s was closed, though the beach bar had excellent coconut shrimp. Other than snorkeling, seeing rays, turtles, tropical fish, we recommend visiting Aktun Chen, a more natural wilder experience that the theme parks. Consider looking at the wish lists of Hekab Be and the Centro Ecologico Akumal, to see how we visitors can give back to this wonderful place.

Exceeded expectation - Wonderful spot!

In some ways, this rental villa looked too good to be true but we took a chance and prepared ourselves to laugh about any deficiencies. After all, we love Akumal so we were going to have a great vacation regardless. Upon our arrival and walking through the front door after a day of travel, we could not have been more pleased. Casa Del Mar is amazing. The house is perfectly located walking distance between the town center and many great spots on the North Road. Walk in either direction and you will find lovely spots to spend your days which fly by all too quickly. Head North and you'll find Buena Vida where you can dine on the beach under palm trees or a bit further to La Lunita for a more upscale dining experience. Head South and you'll be in Akumal Centro in 7 minutes where we relaxed, ate some more, and enjoyed a week of incredible diving. Mari, the housekeeper came every day except Sunday and ensured that the house was immaculate whenever we returned from our days adventures. Roberto (grounds keeper) was also friendly and fantastic going so far as to wash our rental car on our day of departure which was above and beyond. While we didn't feel it necessary, Casa Del Mar comes with a security guard who patrolled the property at night which I guess would provide peace of mind if you are concerned about personal safety. Some of the decor in the house is slightly dated and it is situated on a somewhat rocky shoreline but this was all clear from the photos on the listing which really are perfectly accurate. With that said, Casa Del Mar was immaculately clean, everything was in perfect working order, and we felt at home almost immediately. We're going to decompress after this wonderful trip and fantastic stay is Casa Del Mar, but word on the street in our family is that Thanksgiving at Casa Del Mar will become a tradition. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The staff really is amazing Mari the housekeeper is a sweetheart, Roberto the groundskeeper very nice hard worker, Santos the night security was nice to talk to. Alex the manager was very helpful make himself available, I never felt like staff was in our business they gave us our privacy and space. Akumal is a great place to visit the property is walking distance to town, clean well managed the pool is the best. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is super comfortable, and in a prime location inside Akumal. The bed is comfortable, the WiFi is reliable, hot water, appliances, and furniture all perfectly in order. Pool is refreshing, sparklingly cleaned everything day, and a comfortable depth and size. The empty lot and set-back neighboring house on one side gives the property room to breathe and increases privacy. There is access to the ocean on calm days just a few steps from the back of the house and tons of tide pools and coral fossils to discover amongst the rocks. The moon and sun rise out of the ocean directly in back of the house and set into the jungle in the front. The roof is an ideal place from which to appreciate the celestial rhythms and sea breezes. Mosquitos can’t compete with the stiff wind and are mostly and thankfully absent. The staff was extremely friendly, discreet, and efficient. They were a great help when the house’s ocean-facing windows and doors were no match for some pounding hurricane rains. Just keep your stuff off the floor nearby, but no worries otherwise—there are unlimited towels!I would live here full time if I could.
