Casa dei Fichi is a traditional stone villa, 250 sq. m., with private swimming pool and large park, with 3 double bedrooms, one bedroom with three single beds and 2 bathrooms for up to 9 persons. The villa boasts large panoramic areas, perfect for spending time together, and a covered, furnished loggia for outdoor meals, complete with barbecue. The house is perfect for small groups of friends.

Outdoors and Swimming Pool
The property is made up of over twenty hectares of ground, with a large park surrounding the villa with mostly grass and olive trees. Many dining and relaxing areas have been created using the natural slopes of the terrain. The main terrace with barbecue, the rear covered terrace with pizza oven and the round stone table with a view all the way up to the sea. The pool, in a sunny area, is large and rectangular-shaped, measuring 12 metres by 5 with a depth of 3 m, illuminated during the night. Casa dei Fichi has been recently renovated with a particular focus on local materials, and is on two floors which follow the shape of the terrain. The ground floor is a large open space, with red brick arches between the separated areas, a large fireplace, sofas and armchairs, a reading area and a large dining table. The well-equipped kitchen has a large central work area with a large hob and oven, a storage room with fridge and freezer, a fridge for drinks, dishwasher, washing machine and second sink. A large bathroom with shower completes this floor. On the first floor guests will find three double bedrooms, a bedroom with three single beds perfect for kids, and a bathroom with bathtub and shower.

Location
The house is part of a property of over twenty hectares, overlooking the untouched medieval hamlet of Campiglia Marittima, with the archeological park of San Silvestro. The surrounding woods and mediterranean brush are home to many animals, and you may often see groups of wild boars emerge during summer evenings, on their search for ripe figs, nuts and mushrooms.

The price includes bathroom, bedroom and kitchen linen along with swimming towels, changed weekly, water and gas consumption (heating not included), electricity, internet and baby bed. Upon request and to be paid for at the property are hired help, cookery courses, dinners, outings to art cities, tastings, mini cruises, fishing tours, transfers and hire services.

Important information
Swimming pool available from May 1st to September 30th. Access to the property via 3 km of gravel road, not recommended for sports cars. None of the bathrooms have a bidet.Activities and Distances
The property is the perfect starting point for exploring the Val di Cornia, a wine-making area which is rapidly growing and which one day might rival the nearby Bolgheri, home to some of Tuscany’s finest wines. You can book visits for the local vineyards, and wine tours are more and more popular among the region’s visitors. Campiglia Marittima, which is a very short drive or a 30-minute walk away, has many shops, bars and restaurants, while a few kilometres away there are sand beaches, Etruscan ruins and departures for the Isola d’Elba, a small island which is perfect for a day trip. Various wine cellars, thermal springs and golf courses are in the area, as is Pisa with its international airport, and the famous botteghe in Lucca, a two hour drive away.
