Fantastic apartment on one of the larger canals in Venice (which matters when avoiding extra fees for private water taxis!). The apartment was lovely and spacious and communication with the host was excellent.The host greeted us at the waterbus station and walked us to the apartment, which was greatly appreciated, since Venice seems like a maze when you first arrive. She gave us a physical map (hooray for paper maps!) of Venice and gave us suggestions for restaurants nearby. The paper map was our lifeline to getting around, since GoogleMaps doesn't work very well there. The location of the apartment was great - away from the heavy tourist areas but with lots of shops and places to eat right around it. You will have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs, so just be aware. The washer and dryer are located on the bottom floor and worked well - we used them multiple times. The living area was spacious and comfortable, however the TV only got 3 stations and was not a smart TV, so we were unable to log into our Netflix account when we were tired from touring. But, that was a minor inconvenience. The heating in the apartment worked well - it was really cold while we were there - and the beds were comfortable.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would 100% recommend and stay there again.
