Castello 2 Bedroom Apartment with Amazing Canal View

The Alighieri “C” is an elegant two bedrooms apartment with spectacular canal views, spacious sunny terrace, accessible by elevator.



It is one of the four apartments comprising the whole top floor of an historical Palazzo found in the west side of Castello District, only a few minutes’ walk from San Marco Square.



The building is accessible by private water taxi from the Marco Polo airport in only 20 minutes and it takes less than 5 minutes’ walk to reach the Vaporetto/Alilaguna (ferry boat) stop San Zaccaria, thus very central.

In the surroundings there are lots of artisan and antique ateliers, local food shops and delicious osterie (traditional restaurants). Some of the cultural landmarks that can be found close by in Castello beside the well-known Arsenale and Biennale Gardens include Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, Church of San Giorgio dei Greci, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Church of San Zaccaria and many others.



The entire property has been completely and luxuriously refurbished in 2013: an elevator has been installed, the original terrazzo flooring and art-deco inspired inlaid parquet renovated, frescoes and stuccoes brought back to the ancient splendour, the spacious terrace equipped with table, sunshade and sun chairs.



The Alighieri “C” can be accessed from a very bright and elegant shared entrance hall giving on to the communal terraces. It has a living/dining room with stunning canal view overlooking Rio di San Lorenzo and a modern kitchen. There are two good size bedrooms (both can be prepared as king size bed or two singles on request) with two excellent bathrooms, offering total comfort and privacy to 4 guests.



The Alighieri “C” shares the same communal terrace and great view of the other 3 apartments, maximizing the bedroom comfort while offering less living room space compared to Alighieri “B” and “D”. All four apartments can be rented together for groups of up to 14 people, just directly book the Palazzo Alighieri.

Great place! Great location.

Apartment was large, elegant & clean. Location was perfect- easy walking distance to San Marco square. Located on a canal but not noisy. Highly recommend staying here

Magical stay in Venice

This apartment was beautifully decorated and centrally located with amazing views. We booked our water taxi through our host and the ride was amazing and scenic - better than a gondola ride in my opinion. There are so many close options for dining and we were able to walk to most of the attractions. After an amazing stay in Amalfi - I didn't think another view could come close and this one did. This is an amazing apartment in a magical city that I look forward to visiting again and again!

We spent 3 nights in Antonella's apartment and we absolutely loved it. Everything was new and perfect. Great service and location. Building seems like a private hotel. All brand new inside. Supermarket around the corner, & San marco 5 mins away. Great wifi too. My kids absolutely loved the apartment. Mother with 3 kids. Thank you Antonella & Sverlana.

Perfect spot in Venice!!!

We could not have asked for a better apartment! Top floor, overlooking a canal, in earshot of the amazing bells of the cathedral. We could walk everywhere very easily, right from our front door! The layout was perfect for me, my husband and my in-laws with our own bathrooms and bedroom, but a common area to play cards, when we had a spare minute. The elevator was SO nice for my 80-year-old inlaws (we wouldn't have stayed there without it!). My only comment is that it is really annoying that our flight was a bit late, so we were charged 50Euros for a late check-in. Don't get me wrong, the fact that they met us at the canal, and walked us to our apartment was lovely AND the fee is clearly stated in all of the paperwork, so not a surprise. It's just annoying....I would hope they had a different way of checking in, instead of just charging us more.

Perfect views, location and comfort

We had a good time in the appartment and terrace. An elevator brings you to the top floor of a former Palazzo where there are several appartments all sharing a rooftop. The views are spectacular and we could enjoy beautiful fiereworks one night. It is perfectly located close to the bienale areas as well as st. marco. All has been renovated to perfection. Thick, silent and secure doors, airconditioning that is quiet, beautiful wooden floors, perfect walls, all very clean. A place where one can stay even when its very hot outside. We slept well on the matraces. The kitchen has everything you need. A toaster that did not function very well was replaced immediately. My only negative comment would be that the small bathroom attached to the bedroom maybe too small for large people and does not have any place to put anything. A few hangers or a rack to hang towels would be good. In the larger bathroom some kind of hangers would be nice too.

Gute Kommunikation mit Truly Venice. Wir haben das private Flughafen Taxi über sie gebucht und es hat alles einwandfrei geklappt, trotz verspäteter Ankunft von uns. Die Wohnung war sauber und schön, die beiden Schlafzimmer gross. Die Lage ist prima und ein Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke. Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern ist wunderschön. Wermutstropfen waren die Grösse der geteilten Terrasse, die auf den Fotos grösser wirkt, und die Tatsache, dass wir zwei Tage lang kein WLAN in der Wohnung hatten. Trotzdem kann ich die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen.

Amazing View

The apartment is very well maintained. the view of the canal 100% matches with our view from the apartment. Its centrally located and near everything. there is a market nearby and we stocked up with basics on our 1st day there. Our host contacted us well in advance of our arrival and even booked the water taxi for us. The water taxi is expensive but well worth it - since the water taxi dropped us right next to our apartment. Our check-in was seamless and our host even gave us a map and a few tips on what to do, including her choice of restaurants. I would highly recommend this apartment.

L’appartement est parfait pour 4 personnes (2 couples). Il est magnifiquement exposé, avec une vue dégagée sur un canal. Il est situé dans un quartier calme à 10 mn de la place Saint Marc. Des terrasses sont mises à disposition (communes à 4 appartements mais peu occupées lors de notre séjour). L’équipe s’occupant de la location est très agréable et très réactive.

Awesome Venice Stay

Our apartment was one of the best we've ever stayed in. The craftsmanship of the building was very nice and solid. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen were clean and had all the little things other rentals may skimp on. The location was fantastic and the pictures of the canal on the listing are from the living room window! Communication was fast and responsive. If/when we come back to Venice, we would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous apartment

We love this apartment! It is clean and large and tastefully appointed. The shared roof terrace is a plus to enjoy your wine in the sun. There is a small but useful elevator, very handy for baggage and tired knees, although the steps up are quite manageable. The apartment is located on a quiet area with a local grocery store very close. As is consistent in all of Venice the path to the apartment is confusing and we were met by Svetlana near the St.Marks vaporetto landing. The only trouble was that the owner Antonella told me to get off on the Rialto vaporetta stop, and the texting to Svetlana was confusing, but finally we made it to where our guide was and all was well. Just be sure to know exactly where to meet Svetlana ahead of your arrival and it will eliminate alot of angst. All in all a wonderful visit in a wonderful apartment in one of the most unique cities anywhere.

Venice Views

The Camelia apartment was in a great location with stores, cafes, and restaurants around the corner. It was very comfortable for two couples. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space. Svetlana who met us at the boat that we had taken from the airport was an huge help when one of our bags was taken by mistake from the boat. She gave us a good overview of the neighborhood along with suggestions for restaurants. Word of warning - don't keep the windows open at night as the apartment is right on the canal and we had mosquitoes at the end of September.

Wonderful stay in the perfect apartment

We have a lovely stay and a wonderful time in Venice. The location of the apartment is superb. It is 5-10 minutes' walk from San Marco and the dock San Zaccaria. It is conveniently located for all major attractions but far enough in nice and quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed wandering around the neighborhood, passing lovely little canal. The apartment is on the top floor with gorgeous canal and garden view. It looks exactly like the pictures, nicely decorated and is spacious, clean and well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. A good size grocery store is just around the corner supplied all the things we needed. Antonella was very helpful and providing details on transportation options to the apartment and the check in manager was waiting for us at the dock. Thank you again and looking forward to coming back. We have already recommended this apartment to friends too.

Great centrally-located Venice apartment

We loved our stay here. It was not too far from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop (once Svetlana met us at the stop and showed us the way). The views were great and the apartment felt spacious and comfortable. Restaurants, groceries, and shopping were all close at hand, and Piazza San Marco was only a short distance away. We'd enjoy staying here again!
