The cottage is tastefully furnished in Tuscan style and features several pieces of antique furniture.<br><br>The front door opens directly into the living room, which features a traditional rustic fireplace, a table with chairs and a bench, and a sleeper sofa. The adjacent built-in kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances, including a microwave and a coffee maker. Going up the stairs leads to the upper floor, the sleeping area, where a hallway provides access to the bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with an antique wardrobe and a wrought-iron bed; the door opens onto the first-floor terrace, offering a beautiful view. The smaller bedroom features a bunk bed, and you can also admire the view from its window. The bathroom is equipped with a comfortable shower stall and a built-in vanity with an inlaid mirror (a hair dryer is provided).<br><br>The cottage’s terrace is equipped with a washing machine, a storage area for cleaning supplies and household items, a small basin, and two countertops made of local marble.<br><br>AMENITIES AND THE ANCIENT VILLAGE OF BARGECCHIA<br>About 100 meters from the vacation home is the center of Bargecchia, which is easily reached on foot in just a few minutes. In the town square stands the Romanesque church of St. Martin of Bargecchia, built in the early 1200s, and the famous bell tower constructed in 1885, whose silhouette is visible even from the beaches of Viareggio. It houses four bells cast by the Lera foundry near Pelagio, also in 1885: their sound was so harmonious that Maestro Giacomo Puccini, having heard them during visits to his friend, the town’s local physician Dr. Giacchi, decided to include them in his world-famous opera “Tosca” during the duet between Tosca and Scarpia at the end of the first act.<br>In the immediate vicinity of the town square, at the center of which stands the famous bell tower, you’ll find all the most important and useful services, such as a café, restaurant, newsstand, grocery store, butcher shop, bakery, and soccer and tennis courts.
