Gran terraza privada con impresionantes vistas sobre el valle de la antigua ciudad en la cima de Volterra.

Situado en el recién reconstruido aldea de las laderas 1.000 años de Borgo Mummialla. El pequeño pueblo se ha reconstruido en 13 apartamentos de vacaciones. La piscina es compartida entre los 13 apartamentos.

Interior en dos niveles con vigas de castaño y baldosas cotto totalmente equipada. Cuatro cómodas sillas, mesa y sombrilla en la terraza para comer "al fresco".

15 minutos en coche de San Gimignano. Con una ubicación ideal para explorar la Toscana. Volterra, Siena, Florencia, Pisa y de la región de Chianti son de fácil acceso.

El pueblo es un remanso de tranquilidad, rodeado de bosques y prados con abundante flora y fauna silvestres.

Wi-Fi gratis. Tenga en cuenta que debido a la ubicación remota, el Wi-Fi basado en satélites. Está bien para la navegación web normal y correo electrónico, pero por ejemplo, no sería muy rápido para el streaming de vídeo, vídeo-conferencia o la descarga de archivos de gran tamaño.

Gorgeous

We have been at this place for the third time and enjoyed it as much as all the times before. The small "village" is a great place for relaxing holidays. The infinity pool is perfect for cooling down on hot and sunny days. The house is very well equipped and the view from he terrace is amazing. Highly recommended place!

The villa was perfect. Not large but spacious for 2 people. The estate and the swimming pool were quite lovely. Roberto was most helpful. Great holiday in these tough times.

Lovely, peaceful remote setting in Tuscany, handy to most hilltop villages

Driving into Gambassi Terme is a little more complex that usual because it is in a truly rural setting, almost at the end of a gravel road; and the restored village has narrow streets without the Terrace being sign-posted. I would recommend waiting inside the entrance gates to meet Roberto and/ or his Daughter to guide you to the apartment. The apartment is fully screened and has air-conditioning that was under repair during our visit. Fans available on request to Roberto. Otherwise, clean and comfortable with great wifi and views to San Gimignano from the terrace. This is lovely in the early mornings and evenings. Close to the major Tuscan hilltop towns and very peaceful in the pool after a long day of sightseeing. A thoroughly lovely retreat in the hills!

Such la lovely place

When we arrived, it was 40 centigrade, which is like 104. Very hot indeed. And the apartment was also very hot. Roberto, with his partner, introduced us to the place and his English is not terrific but we got the idea about the instructions. There is a great recycling program in Italy and we had to learn about that./ My husband is approaching 80 and I'm in my mid 70's so keep that in mind as you read this review. It was so hot in the apartment that we werent' sure we could stay. We called the owner and he very graciously offered to refund our money and found a motel room for us. But we loved loved loved the apartment so decided to give the AC a day to cool down the entire place instead of moving and we are so glad we did. The next day Robert, the property manager person, at the instruction of the owner, brought us two lovely fans and between those and the AC cooling things down inside, we were very happy. it changed everything for us to have those two things happen. The apartment is incredibly well stocked - everything you need.. There are plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking, which we did often - every breakfast and most lunches. The bed is very comfortable and a lovely blue and white quilt on top. The shower is generous and feels great. The couch is also comfortable and can be tilted a bit to watch the TV which is we did on one night. The pool is simply amazing. It has an infinity edge and is spotlessly clean. Each apartment is assigned a spot to sit with lounge chairs and an umbrella. We absolutely loved the pool and it was so great in the heat that was Italy when we were there. There is a washing machine in the apartment and we did laundry a couple of times. There is a drying rack to put on the patio and it worked like a charm. The only downside (other than the initial heat) was the parking lot which is up a very steep hill - you must leave your car there and walk down (and back up). For us, at our ages, this was quite the task, especially in the heat. But if you are young and spry, it probably won't be an issue. but if you are older, please consider this aspect carefully. I cannot say enough about the owner who responded so quickly and generously to our concern about the heat. He was simply all we could have hoped for. I do think, with climate change, a few things might be helpful. 1) turn on AC well before guests arrive 2) consider darker blinds to keep the heat out. Thank you so much for having us

Erholsamer Urlaub in der Toskana

Wir waren für zwei Wochen in dieser wunderschönen Ferienwohnung. Roberto hat uns herzlich begrüßt und alles gezeigt und erklärt. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, schön und gut ausgestattet. Zur Wohnung gehört eine schöne Terasse mit einem einzigartigen Ausblick bis nach Volterra. Es gibt viele Stechmücken aber die Fenster waren mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet. Der Pool ist auch sehr, sehr schön, sauber und von dort hat man ebenfalls einen tollen Ausblick. Es gab immer genügend Platz rund um den Pool und im Pool konnte man schön schwimmen. Wir haben den Urlaub und die Ruhe in Mommialla sehr genossen. Mit dem Auto kann man schöne Ausflüge machen. San Gimignano hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wir fuhren meistens abends hin, da war es nicht mehr so voll. Aber auch Volterra, Certaldo Alto oder Colle Val d'Elsa sind wunderschöne Orte. Nach Siena sind wir ab Poggibonsi mit dem Zug gefahren. Wir kommen gerne wieder nach Mommialla.

Wunderschöner Ausblick

Zwei Wochen haben wir in dieser sehr gut ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung verbracht. Der Blick von der Terrasse und vom Pool auf die tolle Landschaft und Volterra am Horizont war grandios. Prima Ansprechpartner vor Ort - jederzeit erreichbar und außerordentlich hilfsbereit.

Kleinod in der Toskana

Ein schöner und ruhiger Ort, um die Toskana zu erleben. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Toll, dass es an allen Fenstern Mückengitter und Rollis gibt. Der Pool ist wunderschön, und es ist gut, dass es einen Extra-Parkplatz außerhalb der Häuser gibt. Für ältere Menschen mit Einschränkugen könnte das allerdings ein Thema sein. Man kann von La Mommialla aus viel unternehmen, es liegt nahe bei Volterra und San Gimignano, man kann toll wandern und Wein probieren. Wir fanden es wunderbar und erholsam.

Wir suchten Ruhe in der Toskana. Wir haben diesen Ort gefunden. Borgo Mommialla liegt traumhaft schön in der Nähe von Gambassi Terme. Der Weg dorthin verlief über eine Schotterstraße 😉. Der Pool war wunderbar, unser Ferienhäuschen auch. Wir konnten unsere Ausflüge gut von da aus starten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Liebevoll restauriertes Haus mit schöner Terrasse von wo man sehr weit über das Tal blicken kann. Ruhige Lage, man hört kaum Autos fahren. Würde jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen.

Tolle Wohnung mit super Aussicht und sehr schönem Pool

Die Ferienwohnung hat eine tolle Lage mit super Aussicht und sehr schöner Terrasse. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man im Urlaub braucht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und die Schlüsselübergabe haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Der Pool ist genial. Wir haben jeden Tag genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Splendid holiday

Borgo Mummialla is a beautiful place, remote and lovely, far from any tourist crowds. The apartment is very nice, tastefully furnished and fully equipped. The terrace has the most beautiful view, you can sit there for hours and just enjoy. The pool is wonderful, the water feels very natural and you have deep and shallow parts.You have your own space with umbrella and sunbeds, so no fighting about who gets the best place! We had a very pleasant communication with the host Colm before our journey, who sent us very precise directions ( which you really need because Google sends you somewhere else). On arrival we got a very helpful introduction to the apartment from Roberto and his daughter, who we could contact with any questions during our stay. We visited San Gimignano , Siena ( you can easily go there by train from Poggibonsi) and Volterra, which we liked best! And went for dinner twice to the Ristorante Bosco Tondo, very recommendable! So a really lovely holiday, even our teenage daughter enjoyed the beauty and the tranquility of the Borgo! We were so sad we had to leave after a week. Thanks so much to Colm and Roberto!

Un petit village rénové à partir de 2000, un excellent accueil de Roberto et sa fille. Le plus une très belle piscine. La literie de la maison pourrait être de meilleure qualité.

Traumhafte Ferienanlage in toller Landschaft

Die Ferienanlage ist ein Traum. Eine wunderschöne toskanische Ferienwohnung mit Klimaanlage und toller Terasse, mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Volterra. Die Wohnung liegt im kleinem reinen Feriendorf Borgo Mommialla. Dazu gehört ein sehr schöner Gemeinschaftspool. Die Ruhe und Sauberkeit der gesamten Anlage waren toll. Abends haben wir auf der Terasse wundervolle Sonnenuntergänge bei einem Glas Rotwein mit Blick auf Volterra genossen. Zum Vermieter bestand seit der Buchung ein sehr guter Kontakt. Vor der Anreise haben wir von ihm sehr hilfreiche und nützliche Informationen in Form von Text und Bildern, sowie die punktgenauen GPS Kordinaten für das Navi erhalten. Die Anlage liegt ruhig und abgeschieden, aber durch die tollen Informationen durch den Vermieter war die Anreise völlig problemlos. In der Anlage sind wir von einem netten Verwalter freundlich empfangen wurden. Er hat uns die Anlage und Wohnung gezeigt und alles ausführlich erklärt. Der Urlaub war traumhaft. Das Zusammenspiel aus Vermieter, Verwalter, Wohnung und Anlage waren top, besser geht es nicht.

In 2006 I heard that a group of local people planned to restore a tiny ancient ruined village. I went to visit the village and was immediately enchanted by its tranquillity and stunning views.

We took a leap of faith and purchased a heap of stones and broken timbers at the end of the village.

Now seven years later the village has been restored to its former beauty.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The reconstruction of the village was subject to strict Italian heritage laws. All original materials were re-used and other materials were salvaged from local ruins. The building work had to be carried out using traditional building methods.

The 'apartment' is actually a small house at the quietest end of the village, with its own roof and with windows on three sides!

The best feature is a large private terrace with stunning views across the valley to the ancient hilltop town of Volterra, with its many towers.
