Este condominio está directamente al otro lado de la calle de la hermosa playa de Playas del Coco con acceso público a la playa a pocos pasos. Es un complejo pequeño y tranquilo con sólo 10 unidades. Cuenta con jardines tropicales, una piscina y guardia de seguridad de noche. Se trata de una unidad de 2 dormitorios / 1 1/2 baño de dos pisos, con wifi, televisión por cable en español e Inglés, y cocina bien equipada. El condominio está a poca distancia a pie de excelentes restaurantes, tiendas, mercados y el centro de la ciudad. Venga a disfrutar de la playa y hermosas puestas de sol!

Very clean and nicely updated

The condo was very clean and well maintained. It had pretty much everything you would need. The grounds were beautiful and the neighbors friendly. It is very close to beach and shopping. Directly across the street is a hotel where you can sign up for any tour you want. Loved our stay!

Well appointed condo in Playa del Coco

One of the best equipped condos we have rented in our many years of travel. Plenty of towels, AC worked very well, and everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The 10 unit villa offers a well maintained, beautiful pool area surrounded by lush vegetation. Close proximity to the uncrowded beach and beautiful sunsets. Excellent communication with the owner and friendly neighbours.

The house was clean and well-equipped as well as decorated with original artwork, including the host's beautful art pieces. The small condo community was well-maintained, secured at night and within walking distance of the beach, grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops, not to mention howler monkey sightings within a block or so. An added bonus were the helpful and friendly neighbors! The location too was within driving distance of so many activities and beaches. We had beach areas to ourselves when we stumbled on some nearby ones. Overall, we enjoyed our first visit to CR and to this location specifically!

Amazing!!!!

The condo is wonderful! We had so much fun it’s right across the street from the beach in a couple of great restaurants. It was within walking distance of town where there’s lots of stuff to do. All the excursions would pick you up at your door. The pool at the condo was insanely beautiful! Dottie the host was so helpful and easy to contact! I would highly recommend renting this condo and going to Coco Beach!!!! We will be back!!!!

Great condo with pool near the beach

We absolutely loved everything about our stay in Playas del Coco. The apartment complex comprises 10 units and one pool and a small laundry facility. Our two-bedroom unit was perfect for our family of four with two young kids. We swam in the pool several times per day. We met other residents; every one was friendly, helpful and enjoyable. The beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk from the apartment. We had a rental car and drove to the downtown, where we enjoyed excellent food at beachside bars and many pina coladas. The souvenir shopping was great fun. And the kids were fond of grabbing lunch at the tiny street-side sands--chicken on a stick! I cannot recommend Playas del Coco or our rental highly enough. It was an amazing family vacation and I hope to return again, staying longer than one week next time!

Well equipped and cozy apartment with beautiful garden and pool area

We stayed at Dottie's apartment with our two young children for a month and had a great time. The apartment was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and felt safe. The kitchen was well equipped if you like to cook. All rooms had AC. The pool area was a lovely place to hang out. Both the apartment and pool surpassed our expectations from the pictures. The beds were not the most comfortable. If you use the pull out bed the two beds are different heights and the room becomes very crowded. The beach is a short walk away and it felt like the best part of the beach. It was a little far too walk to town with two kids and there are no sidewalks most of the way. It was easy, however, to find taxis.

Thank you so much for your review. I try to buy locally whenever possible. The master bed has 3 levels of comfort from soft to firm by taking off the layers. The twin beds can be tight when they are both in use, but I preferable over the small junior beds that are the alternative in Costa Rica. I hope you will return and enjoy our wonderful country.

The worst experience

The house was only tidy, but not clean, the security was only at night, we had a door closed and we did not have a key so we have to open it by force therefore we lost the deposit, since the manager arrived until after 8 pm and all our dry clothes were there, the lady of the cleaning never came but the service was charged. The internet and wifi did not work. We do not recommend it

I am so sorry you feel you had a bad experience. You arrived early - just after the other tenants left about 11:00 am - although I was clear that check-in was at 4:00 pm. The cleaning lady did not have time to do a thorough cleaning. The description on VRBO is clear that security is from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Many condos in Coco do not have security at all, as it is not needed. I responded as soon as I heard from you and contacted someone to open the door. You said the door closed from the wind. However, it does not automatically lock. The lock has to be turned by someone. This happened the night before Easter, and a locksmith was difficult to find. However, as soon as I found someone, he responded immediately. You already pried the door open damaging the door and lock so both the door and lock have to be replaced. Internet is an ongoing problem in Costa Rica and not the fault of the owners. It does go out occasionally, and there is nothing anyone can do but wait until the problem is fixed by the internet company. It is usually not off long. Again, I apologize that you had a bad experience as it is always my desisre to make sure my guests have a positive experience.

Holiday in the sun

My husband, myself and a friend recently stayed on this property for 3 glorious weeks. We had an amazing vacation and loved Costa Rica. We loved the pool which was where we met many of the condo residents which was great! We met many locals and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The condo itself is also very lovely and we had everything we needed. We loved the owners art work displayed throughout. Our only suggestions would be would be to get a new coffee pot. It took hours to get even a cup brewed. The other suggestion was to put screens on the windows/doors. There were many windy days and we would have loved to open the doors for the cross breeze instead of always using the air conditioning. Great location near the beach

This condo is in a great location, with beach access just around the corner. It is also in close proximity to restaurants outside of the downtown core, and small grocery store. An added bonus was the Sunday morning market a short walk away. The condo was very well furnished, and quite comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishes and utensils, pots, pans, rice cooker, baking dishes, and even a small slow cooker. It was obvious to us that the owner put a lot of thought into what vacationers may require, and did not scrimp on equipping this unit. We will certainly consider this unit again for any future visits to Playas del Coco, and recognize the irony that this review may in fact increase competition to obtain it. Thanks for a great vacation, Dottie.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The place was conveniently located within walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. We usually fixed our own meals so the well equipped kitchen made it easy to do. We enjoyed spending afternoons in the pool and most of the time had the entire place to our selves. The unit was very quiet comfortable and relaxing.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped,

There were very few people in the complex, we had the (clean) pool to ourselves. Grounds are well kept and felt safe. It is an easy walk to the beach, and right across the street is a fabulous restaurant with an amazing sunset view. The condo does not have a view of the ocean, or really any view from inside. We set up some chairs on the upstairs balcony for a view of the complex and mountains. The power was out when we arrived and the wifi never worked, but the cleaning person, Lila, went out of her way to help us get things resolved as best she could.

However, I am in the process of looking into companies with better and more constant connectivity. Great Value for Cute Condo

This unit is spacious enough for a family of 4 and was located in a nice garden with a lovely calm and clean, refreshing pool just in front of the condo entrance. We were usually the only ones in the pool, as there are only 10 units. It was a great location, only one street from the beach. We loved watching the sunsets as the kids jumped the waves. It is an easy walk to town (about 10 - 15 minutes). A taxi was only $2 (1000 Colones). We would usually walk the path along the beach to main part town and taxi back. There was a delicious little pizza and gelato place ( non solo pizza) and a mini grocery store on a few minutes away. We were comfortable and it was a great place for a few nights at the beach for us. The owner was very responsive to any concerns we had, replying to our emails very quickly. The unit and its furniture/appliances are not brand new, top of the line, or with fancy decor, but at $75/night, we thought it was excellent value. The owner is an artist and the walls are mostly covered with her colourful art. The queen bed is quite soft, which I found very comfortable, but may not be for everyone. I don't recommend this unit for people looking for a party central - as the neighbours are often long term owners and renters, and wouldn't appreciate loud partying. There were some insects in the unit from time to time, but this is Costa Rica - and that is quite standard for the location. The air conditioning worked well, keeping it cool. We found it a relaxed and easy place to come back to after beach and explorations.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The location of this place couldn't be better. It is steps across the street to the beach. It's wonderful to be able to walk across the street for a morning stroll or watch the sunset in the evenings. In addition, if you don't want to rent a car, you are walking distance to great restaurants, stores, groceries, doctors, and dentists. You can easily walk to town either on the beach or on the street.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The condo is in a small complex of only 10 units, so it's never crowded here. You are likely to often have the the pool to yourself.

Early mornings, besides beautiful birds, you can hear the howler monkeys and often see them in the trees surrounding the property.
