A fantastic house. You cannot find a cottage with a better location.A real home from home feel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I go back up there.

Shore Cottage is an excellent property for a holiday in a beautiful, remote corner of Scotland. The cottage is very well appointed and decorated to a high standard. The hosts were very helpful with clear instructions about how to get there. We would very much recommend this property- we'll certainly be returning for another visit.

Shore Cottage was clean, comfortable, very well equipped and had the most beautiful view from the main window out across the Kyle! Our stay was peaceful and relaxed and we enjoyed visits to Cape Wrath, Smoo Cave and Balnakeil to name but a few! The golf club at Balkaniel provided a lovely lunch! We can heartily recommend a stay at Shore Cottage.

Lovely accommodation and very comfortable for a holiday stay. Stunning views looking down the sea loch. Cottage is conveniently located for services in Durness and only a two minute walk to the passenger ferry over to Cape Wrath. Second visit to Shore Cottage and highly recommend.

Glad you found the cottage so clean and perfect. Unfortunately extremely, excessive dog hair left at the property made extra cleaning very long and unthoughtful.

So glad you found Shore Cottage a restful oasis in this busy world. The cottage really does feel as though the outside is coming in and really giving you huge open views. Luckily it happily keeps the cold out and the warmth in as you relax and enjoy the stillness and changes. I am glad you found everything so well anppointed and comfortable for your holiday. Lovely cottage with spectacular views. Very well equipped , we had everything we could need. All rooms were spotless and cosy. Plenty private parking space and room for the dogs to wander outside. Excellent wifi and freeview tv. Only issue i would say we had was the noise from extractor fan in the bathroom which was very loud when trying to relax in the bath. Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area.

Had the most wonderful stay at Shore Cottage, stunning cosy wee place, clean & tidy & had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! Waking up to that spectacular view every morning is something you would never tire of!Great base for us to explore the surrounding areas which is such a beautiful part of our country!Thanks for letting us stay & we most definitely will be back in the near future…..gonna miss this place & of course the peace & quiet!

Delighted that Shore was just the perfect wee spot to have a winter break. Yes, you can either lie in bed and take in the view each morning or take in a much larger one in the main lounge and diner. Fabulous property in an amazing location. Cottage had everything you could need and very well laid out. Owners were excellent and really helpful, particularly when our ferry to Orkney was cancelled. The view is incredible, in all weather. In better weather an otter can be seen close to the cottage either in the water or at the shoreline. Loads of beaches and walks within easy distance. Faraid head was a highlight. Hope to return.

Great spot in Durness

Super location and accommodation. Very clean with great showers and very comfortable beds. Beautiful views of the sea and hills. Highly recommended.

Shore Cottage is a fantastic place to stay. The cottage is very clean and well equipped. The location is a real bonus as you can walk around the coastline from the door and watching the ever changing view out the front of the property is mesmerising whatever the weather. We have already booked to return.

Fabulous cottage, with an amazing vista of the Kyle and ample parking. So peaceful and relaxing, yet within easy reach of other beautiful, beaches, bays and places of interest. Durness itself has a well stocked shop and 24 hour fuel if required. Cape wrath, Smoo cave and cocoa mountain are all just minutes away.
