Fantastic stay

We have only ever booked through Away resorts, did not even know there was another option until I accidentally stumbled across Fileybaydirect but much better offers and deal on here. Salty dog was a brilliant accommodation, spotless on arrival, it had everything you needed to make it home for the weekend, could have easily stayed a lot longer than we did and would book here again should it be available. Love the Salty Dog stainless glass windows. Booking was simple and the instructions so easy to follow. We will be booking through FBD and stay here again I am sure of that.

Great location and wonderful beach walks. Lodge was very nice and comfortable. Maybe a larger tv in lounge would be considered. Overall excellent

The most relaxing beautiful accommodation my family has stopped in.

The Salty Dog has everything you need for a perfect home from home stay. It feel clean spacious and looked after to a high level. The location is perfect allowing you to jump in a car to visit close towns but also enjoy Filey. The sight has a great selection of amenities but without it being over the top and feeling like a Butlins sight. It is premium and a beautiful place to stay

A return visit - still as we remembered

Another visit and we still love it! Everything you need in the Salty Dog. A home from home feeling as soon as you walk through the door. Plenty of places to visit nearby.

A great break and the kids loved it

We had a lovely break at Salty Dog. We don't have a dog, however our two girls love them and definitely loved the theme of the lodge. Kids loved a visit to Flamingo land, we enjoyed a day trip to Whitby and Robin Hood Bay. Lovely sit in fish and chips at Inghams, Filey. Only issue we had during the stay was, due to the heatwave, getting to sleep at night was a bit of a challenge.

Another lovely stay

Our 3rd stay at Salty Dog and it was as lovely as ever. So comfortable and well equipped, very well appointed and 2 newly refurbished bathrooms.

Another comfortable stay

We are regulars at The Bay and Salty Dog is our favourite. We were lucky to have very good weather. We were warm, cosy and comfortable and had all the essentials provided plus some thoughtful extras. We enjoyed days out in nearby Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough and enjoyed breakfast at The Beach Cafe at Hunmanby Gap after checking out. We look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent stay

Second visit to the Salty Dog and it did not disappoint. The lodge is nicely decorated, very clean and very well equipped. The beds are so comfortable. Not my particular taste in settee for comfort, but that is a very minor point.

Salty Dog Filey Bay

A very nice lodge and immaculately clean.All open plan outside so could not let the dogs out Lovely shower rooms. We found the sofa to be very uncomfortable and low. Unfortunately the weather was against us.

Amazing stay at The Salty Dog

This was our third stay at The Salty Dog at The Bay Filey, and it just keeps getting better every time. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home, everything has been so thoughtfully provided, making it easy to relax and settle in straight away. The facilities at The Bay are fantastic, offering something for everyone and really adding to the overall experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a break by the coast. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend The Salty Dog to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped getaway.

Home from home beautiful place, every little detail catered for 100percent

Been too the salty dog 3 times now , such a beautiful place, Recommend it too my friends and family, my husband, myself and axil our dog absolutely love the place ❤️ You'll definitely not be disappointed.

Excellent Stay at The Salty Dog , I would highly recommend it for a summer or winter break with dogs

A very well located lodge in a quiet cul-de sac with easy access to the beach. The lodge had everything you could need for a short break.

A lovely break away

This is the third time at The Salty Dog. Love the spacious but quirky interior and the cute Salty Dog branding within the cabin. Great that it welcomes dogs and so many many thoughtful touches that make your stay special. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a visit to Filey Bay Thank you again

We loved our week at the Salty Dog. The accommodation had everything we could need and was spotless. It’s the perfect place to come back to after a long day of walking along the beautiful beaches surrounding the area.

Loved the Salty Dog

First stay at the Salty Dog but won’t be the last. Stayed at various beach houses at the Bay at Filey but the Salty Dog is our favourite. Nice quiet location, clean, lovely interior and comfortable. Everything you could want.

Another visit to our favourite Beach House

We love staying at Salty Dog, it's so peaceful, welcoming, clean and comfortable. We particularly like the comfy furniture, seaside themed decor and felt right at home from the moment we arrived as we've stayed here many times. We had fabulous hot weather all week and the provision of fans was welcome but with the windows and the bifold doors open we had a nice fresh breeze flowing through. The outside seating is great and also the nearby grassy areas for walking the dog. We needed to call Paula for help with a couple of maintenance issues which were dealt with quickly. We enjoyed a walk on the beach to Filey and caught the bus back. We also visited nearby Bridlington, Cayton Bay and Fraisthorpe beach which we'd recommend. We also had a drive to Thornton-le-Dale and Pickering for a change. There are lots of dog friendly places to eat in the area. There are books and maps available in the lounge for help with planning trips out. The onsite pub and shop are handy and we also enjoyed using the swimming pool which is a very short walk away. We look forward to visiting again.

Very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Salty Dog. It's a welcoming,clean and attractively presented lodge in a prime location. Salty Dog is fully equipped and there's everything you need for an enjoyable stay. As others have mentioned, the beds are extremely comfortable aiding a restful sleep. As usual, excellent communication from Paula, the manager. Highly recommended!

A very comfortable stay

We enjoyed another stay at our favourite beach house at The Bay and the weather was brilliant. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. Close to the facilities and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. We walked to Filey along the beach and caught a bus back from the bus station. There are loads of nice places to eat in the area and lots are dog friendly. We shall certainly be returning for another relaxing break.
