Unique view of the sea and mountains
This villa is unique due to its location on top of a hill with a breathtaking 360° view. From the bedrooms and living room, as well as from the spacious terrace, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the sun-drenched Mediterranean Sea and the majestic peaks of the Sierra Almijara. The villa is temporarily surrounded by gardens with flowering plants, fruit trees, olive trees and almond trees, a slightly heated swimming pool, a warm relaxation bath and above all an oasis of rust.
Magnificent private villa
The villa from 2003 was renovated in 2021 and is fully equipped. The ground floor (actually the middle floor) has 2 bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom with toilet, a spacious living room with open kitchen, a garden, a renovated heated swimming pool, a relaxation pool and a spacious terrace. The upper floor contains a bedroom, a bathroom and a spacious terrace. The ground floor (below the ground floor, but very open due to the slope), in addition to a sea view, contains 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, a small garden and a terrace.
Comfortable climate
Torrox is known for "the best climate in Europe": cooler in summer and warmer in winter than the rest of southern Spain. When the mercury rises, Villa Alegre remains pleasantly cool thanks to the terrace cover, the sliding windows, the swimming pool, and the cooling air conditioners in every room. In the few cooler months you can stay here thanks to the tireless Spanish sun and the heating in every room.
Wake up with sea view
The bedrooms - each with air conditioning/heating - are decorated in Andalusian style. Almost all of them have a beautiful sea view. Each bedroom has its own bathroom for maximum comfort and privacy. The bathrooms are fully equipped with shower or bath, a collection, a heating, ...
Living in Andalusian atmosphere
In the living space on the middle floor, you need the seats to even watch the news of your home country or rest with your favorite music. Even in this quiet part of Spain, contact with the home front of watching movies via the internet is no problem thanks to the free Wi-Fi and the Smart TV. The LCD TV with satellite receiver gives access to more than 400 channels. The rustic decor gives the whole something authentic Andalusian.
Siesta at the pool
The swimming pool (28 m²) is located on the southwest side, so you can enjoy the sun even after 9 pm in the months. There is a relaxing pool with a pleasant temperature of 34 degrees and a larger pool that is also slightly heated, making the water temperature pleasant from March to November. Part of the main pool is shallow and can serve as a fun play area for the kids. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool to enjoy your well-deserved siesta in peace.
Entertainment for adults
The house and its surroundings invite you to spend your days in and around the house. A game of petanque, a board game, a day at the pool, a day of cooking, ... In the wide area you will find relaxation with horseback riding, golf, cycling, enjoy the beach, a walk on the dike and you can soak up the culture in the picturesque villages and bustling cities. From December to March you can even be on your skis in the largest ski area in Spain: the Sierra Nevada in an hour and three quarters.
Fun for the kids
The children have fun at the pool and in the gardens around the house. They can discover toys such as water toys, giant mikado, play blocks, board games, etc. in the cupboards. In the area they can have fun on the beach, on the playgrounds in Torrox Costa, at the child-friendly fountains in the square of Torrox Pueblo, etc...
Nature
The house is surrounded by nature. Nearby is the beautiful national park of the Sierra de Tejeda. A little further you can discover the Alpujarra and the Sierra Nevada, the famous attractions for nature lovers in Andalusia. And of course there is the splendor of the Mediterranean.
Chill in the lounge
Before you know it, you'll be sipping your home-made sangria or local sherry and enjoying your well-deserved break in the terrace lounge with spectacular sea views. Here you have no direct neighbours, no traffic, no crowds. Only the fun of your family, your relatives, your friends.
Culinary in kitchen and with BBQ
Andalusia means tapas, iberico meat preparations, delicious salads with fried chorizo and so much more. You can prepare all those goodies in the fully equipped kitchen. The oven, microwave, toaster, juicer, etc... lend a helping hand. Towels and dishcloths are also available. Of course you also have access to the BBQ on the terrace. Is the result a mountain of dishes and dirty clothes? The 2 dishwashers and the washing machine are ready. If you don't feel like cooking, you can of course go to the restaurants in the village, or you can pick up complete preparations or even enjoy a cook at home.
Beautiful starry sky
A few hours after you have admired the sunset from the pool, you will be treated to a beautiful starry sky where you can even distinguish the Milky Way. At the view of "Torrox by night", you can relax, thinking back or talking about another beautiful day in Villa Alegre.
In the heart of Andalusian culture
In addition to Spanish villages nearby, and the city of Nerja, Malaga is more than worth a visit. The beautiful new harbor site and extremely cozy car-free city center make Malaga the “Barcelona of southern Spain”. Seville, the capital of Andalusia, shows you the highlights of Andalusian culture. And the Alhambra in Granada is also an absolute must for culture lovers. Cordoba with its Mezquita is certainly also worth a visit. Villa Alegre offers you the ideal base to admire the Andalusian culture.
On the Costa del Sol
A fifteen minute drive will take you to the beach of De Costa Del Sol. The numerous seaside resorts delight visitors with their clean beaches and extensive infrastructure. In high season you will find the typical bustle of children playing, walking tourists, restaurants with sunny terraces, ...

How to get there?
Numerous airlines (Ryanair, Vueling, SN Brussels Airlines, Tuifly, Transavia,...) fly to Malaga. Tip 1: If you cannot avoid the school holidays, depart from airports within driving distance in regions or countries that do not have a school holiday at that time (for Belgians Eindhoven, for the Dutch Ostend or Brussels). You can easily take a rental car at the airport (suggestions: Record Go, Goldcar, OK Mobility are all perfectly reliable). Tip 2: When booking online and picking up the car, don't let extra insurance for the car be imposed on you if you don't really want it. The road from the airport to Villa Alegre takes about 50 minutes. The last part of the road leads into the mountains and winds to the top of the hill. You can reach it perfectly with a normal passenger car, but take into account a steep mountain road at the end.
