The unit was clean, spacious, and had a great view of the ocean. We could hear the waves from the unit, and it was easy to access the beach. What’s holding this back from being rated 5 stars is the lack of blackout curtains in the bedrooms and the bathtubs being outdated.

Family vacation

This is our 2nd time staying here at Vickie’s condo. It was just as wonderful as the last visit. The place has everything you need for your vacation and more! A fully equipped kitchen/condo, great beach access and an amazing view. Vickie is such a great host who responds quickly to messages and makes sure her guest are happy. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

Perfect location!

We had a great stay! A little snafu with receiving the door code but property manager was on it! Only suggestion is to maybe add a cleaning supply, windex, Clorox wipes to clean the glass top surfaces during the stay.

215 at the Mana Kai, the perfect spot.

We were very happy with our stay in 215 and would definitely stay here again. You can't find a better accessible beach! This is our 2nd stay at the Mana Kai and I really like the location of this unit. Its on the 2nd floor and at the far end of the beach, (still a great view!) even though its close to the ground floor its still very quiet because it's away from the pool and the yard everyone hangs out at, another cool thing is the front bedroom near the entrance does not have the walkway in front of it because it is on the end. The beds were pretty comfy, one is really firm and the other is soft. Both bathrooms have tub showers but have hand rails in them. The air conditioning and fans all work great. The patio furniture is comfy. Only cons: If you like to do a lot of you own cooking the pots and pans really need to be replaced and the dishwasher is on its last leg. We mostly ate out and did dishes by hand or only used the bottom rack of the dishwasher. The front bedroom window seal whistles in high winds. Don't let these things stop you from renting this unit because the price of the rental far out ways these minor details.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place was well equipped with everything you need. It was well cleaned and tidy. The condo comes with a beautiful view of the ocean from your bedroom and living room that leads to the patio. Which was a great way to wake up in morning. We also loved having our morning coffee on the patio. You can also enjoy listening to the sounds of waves crashing in the ocean from the condo throughout the day. Our two young boys enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach and then hop to the pool after. I had a lot of questions prior to our trip and the host was very informative and quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again!

Another Great Stay

This is the second time staying at this unit and it was again a great stay. The unit is well appointed and Mana Kai overall is a great place to stay.

Great Stay

We have stayed in a few different Mana Kai units over the years. This unit is on the lowest floor and is furthest from the beach, but the view is still great and the unit is well-appointed. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was as enjoyable as ever. Great stay and recommended.

Wonderful Location and Amenities - Just one key frustration

The Mana Kai sits on a wonderful part of Maui just north of Wailea and the property itself is right on a lovely beach with a unique grassy area to watch sunsets. Having the ocean and pool seconds from the unit was a real treat - no driving and easy respite back at the room for supplies or rest. The unit has a nice ocean view (albeit, some of the other units have nicer views) and we appreciated the beach chairs and cooler. There was snorkel gear as well but we opted to rent our own onsite at a reasonable cost. Our main frustration was with the check-in process. We received multiple emails from VRBO (who we booked through) and another rental agency with conflicting information on check in times and entry codes to unlock the front door. The code to enter the unit was wrong from VRBO and not supplied by the other rental agency. The front desk's hands were tied so it was a waiting game combined with combing through more than 8 emails and messages to figure out what to do. Not being able to get settled into the property after a long flight and airport logistics is not a fun place to be, I've noticed others have had this frustration so hopefully this situation can be cleaned up for future guests.

Unit: Okay Location: Perfection!

I didn’t expect much from the unit as it was on the cheaper end of others in the building. Pros: Can’t beat the location, the kitchen was well stocked, good water pressure, soft linens. Cons: there is no air conditioning in the main bedroom, the entire unit could use an update, bed was uncomfortable. Check-in was easy, and I would stay here again, if only for the location at my favorite beach!

Hard to beat the Mana Kai for location

Being right on the ocean at Keawakapu Beach is hard to beat. Wailea hotels are nice but you pay the price. The 215 has the least line of sight view down the beach but it has a good ocean view that you would pay a premium for at a hotel. Our only problem was getting an incorrect entry code from VRBO and having to try to track down the right # with the time difference between Hawaii and the mainland. Fortunately, we were able to work that out and our host was gracious enough to give us a late checkout as no one was entering the unit the day we were leaving.

Third time staying at Mana Kai 215 :)

We love the Mana Kai and this is our third stay in this particular unit. It has everything we need and as it was hot during our time there the AC unit was hugely appreciated for when we were in the room. My husbands favorite thing is to have his morning coffee on the lanai and watch folks filter in to the beach for the day. There are fancier rooms at this resort, but we are all about spending our money on boat trips and nice dinners. Room 215 has everything we need and is the perfect base for our Maui adventures. There was a slight mixup on the door code and the safe code, but management handled it well responded quickly, fixed the issue and even made a follow up call to make sure all was well. Top notch customer service. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!!

Great except no contacts and no access at check in.

We liked everything about this unit except checking in. The access code was not correct and neither owner or VBRO could help. VBRO told us to check into a hotel. A quick thinking security guard let himself into the closed condo office and obtained the local emergency contact that gave us the code. Owners need to have someone readily available at check in. After flying from the East Coast plus a 6-hour time difference the 2-hour wait to get in was really disappointing. Otherwise this is a great unit at a great facility, fantastic beach with good snorkeling right in front. Palms is a nice restaurant with the best happy hour right downstairs. Go to the lobby for 20% off coupons at Palms for entrees only. California rolls have real crab and are delicious. Bottom line we would definitely stay hear again and recommend it.

Will stay there again upon my next visit to the island

I loved this location, the views of the coastline. The restaurant below and the pool. Very well run and very clean. I came from the Grand Wailea to stay there and really enjoyed it. Beautiful location.

Beautiful Spot

Mana Kai is located on a beautiful beach. Views are lovely from the patio. The Wailea path is a short jog away and there are so many lovely beaches to snorkel near by.i loved being at the far end if Kihei.the second bedroom has it's own entrance, which was great for our teenager.

Met our needs

We enjoyed staying here with our group of five. It had ample room for us and we all slept comfortably; even the hide-a-bed worked out great. The AC was also nice on the hotter than normal weather. What a great location this is! There was Some frustration at the number of cabinets that were not available for use but definitely not a deal breaker. Mahalo for being a great part of a fabulous week at the Mana Kai!

I spent years coming to Maui before I decided to invest in property. I have stayed in about every little town on the island and fell in love with the location of the Mana Kai. It is right in the heart of Kihei, yet serene and quiet. Even before I became an owner at the Mana Kai I would come spend my days here enjoying the amenities and my favorite beach, Keawakapu. It is not unusual on a Sunday afternoon to find locals gathered together here playing music under a shady tree.
