Welcome to Hale Hui Kai 309! This beautiful condo is located within a beach-bungalow style oceanfront Complex, situated on the long span of golden sand that is Keawakapu Beach in Kihei. This 2 bedroom/2 bath condo features a large lanai where you can relax and gaze upon the ocean and whale watch when in season. The master features a queen bed and private bathroom, and the second bedroom features 2 twin beds. Both bathrooms feature step-in style showers. The condo is updated, bright, and welcoming and the fully stocked kitchen has an extended island for having meals together. There is central AC to keep you cool all day, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi and TVs. The unit comes equipped with beach gear for use during your stay.

Hale Hui Kai Complex is a hidden gem that sits on the world renowned Keawakapu Beach. This large stretch of white sand is made famous for its glorious sunsets, and also the friendly faces that frequent the area. With direct beach access from the complex, you will not need to go far to find your Maui adventure. The building features a gorgeous oceanfront pool and is close proximity to many shops and restaurants. The area provides easy access to both Wailea and Kihei. Parking is included. Create lasting memories within your Maui home away from home!

Great condo right on the beach

This is my favorite place to stay in maui. Its steps from my favorite beach, and the condo is always clean and really well set up for a weekly rental.

Great Location

The place was so close to everything. It was just a short walk to the beach, plenty of food stops and shopping, and close to the main street when driving places. The lanai was spacious and relaxing. Loved that they provided plenty of beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella. Fabulous place!

Beautiful place on a perfect golden sand beach

Lovely condo in a great location with direct access to a long golden beach and views of the beautiful sunset. Beach was never very crowded. Highly recommend.

One of the Best

The Condo and its location could not be beat! Wonderfully designed and decorated, great views, and a perfect location between the local restaurants and stores of Kihei and the upscale shops and hotels of Wailea. And we loved having the beach just steps away.

We loved the location, the “treehouse “ /aquarium feel of this complex! Renovated, beautiful and quiet! We snorkeled off the beach and enjoyed the quick walk to the ocean.. We hope to return:) This property would be perfect with new twin mattresses and high quality bath towels.

The Best!

This was, by far, my best experience with VRBO. The property was spotless, beautifully appointed and the communication was friendly, responsive and professional. The little extras provided by the host made us feel so very special. This is one of my favorite beaches on Maui. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again. Best to book in advance as its very popular.

Serene condo steps from the beach

We had a delightful stay at Hale Hui Kai. The property is private and quiet, but just steps from the sand. The unit has obviously been remodeled and feels very contemporary. We had an issue with a leaking toilet and the property manager was SUPER responsive and quick to get things repaired. The apartment was also equipped with all the beach-going gear that you'd want. Similarly, the kitchen was well supplied. We'd love to return to HHK.

We're so sorry that you found sand in the beach chairs, we do our best to clean out the beach equipment after each guests' use, but we apologize that our cleaning team missed a bit of sand on this one. As far as the lanai goes, in looking back at the date of your arrival and reviewing our inspection photos, it looks as if the lanai was clean upon inspection prior to your arrival, however this was just days after the Maui Wildfires and we were experiencing ferocious winds at 60 MPH +, and dust can collect very quickly in that environment. If you had reached out we would've been happy to have our team come back and do a dust-up on the lanai. We'd love to host you again! Warmest Alohas, Kirstin & The VIP Team

Beautiful Condo in a GREAT complex

Kirstin is a fabulous property manager. Communication was detailed and prompt. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The views here can't be beat. The complex is right on Keawakapu Beach - the beat beach in the Kihei/Wailea area in my opinion. This is a smaller more intimate complex with a very nice lounge area out by the pool where guests have sunset happy hour each evening. Just a fabulous stay!

Property is beach front so access to beach is fantastic. Condominium complex has two elevators so that is very convenient. Parking is tight but doable. Washer and Dryers are coin operated (quarters). They are located on first and third floor. Beach chairs and cooler were available to use.

Amazing stay!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn’t want to leave! Waking up to the gorgeous ocean views, breakfast on the balcony and the beach only steps away made this vacation great! The communal lanai downstairs was a great spot to seek shade and watch the sunset. The only thing that could have added to this amazing stay would be having access to the washer/dryer in the unit. It’s always nice to throw your beach towels in the dryer after a long day on the water. But the shared laundry facility located on each floor worked fine too. :) We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location on the beach

We had an amazing time at this cute little condo. Our kiddos loved the location, being able to run up and down from the beach to our room was fantastic for lunch time. Its about an 30 min walk to Wailea by beach. We walked to coffee in the mornings. My husband and I are used to sleeping in a king, and The master was a queen but totally ok and worth it for the location. Laundry on site was also really convenient. The kitchen in this unit was brand new and super clean. The unit came fully stocked with beach toys and a few lawn chairs with an umbrella. I will absolutely stay here again!

We were a little confused with the instructions about leaving towels/ bedding in the washer on the last day since we only had access to a public laundry rooom, but thought that might not be current.

Overall this is a nice property. The location is great. Access to the beach fantastic. (this time the waves took out the steps to the beach, but nothing the property could do about this). A couple of suggestions for the property itself: Refer filter needs changing. Coffee pot needs cleaning. Carpets need cleaning and stretching. The furniture is older and not really very comfortable including the living room and chairs for the kitchen. Other than that great!

A few things that are probably needed: blankets for the beds (master has just a very thin cover and sheet), new beach towels (only 4 and they were worn and very small), more then one kitchen towel, hand towels for both bathrooms, more utensils and a dish strainer so you don't have to run the dish washer all the time). The kitchen is big and beautiful and the beach is only a few steps away. We were very happy and hope to be back soon.

The only complaint (which is no fault of the rental company) is that on our check out day, the cleaning crew was banging on the door, and attempting to enter at 9am, when checkout is at 10am. Since our plane was leaving until 3pm, we wanted to stay until 10, but then felt like we should try to hurry up and get out. It would be nice to not have that happen again.
