Duérmase con los sonidos del océano y la brisa del Caribe costarricense, y despiértese con el trinar de los pájaros y el amanecer. Villas Serenidad contiene dos villas de madera hechas a medida y una casa más grande, cada una con techos abovedados, ventiladores de techo y una vista espectacular del océano. Todas tienen vistas a exuberantes jardines tropicales, diseñados por un paisajista galardonado. Estamos a 50 metros del oleaje, en la tranquila playa de Playa Negra. Tome un paseo de 20 minutos por la playa, o un paseo en coche de 5 minutos, a la bohemia, relajada y culturalmente diversa ciudad de Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. Puerto Viejo contiene deliciosos restaurantes, tiendas de diversión, y las oportunidades para el surf, caminatas en la selva, río-rafting, tirolinas, excursiones de chocolate, santuario de animales, clases de yoga, buceo, paseos a caballo, y paddle boarding. Villas Serenidad es ideal para lunas de miel, escapadas románticas, escapadas de novias, reuniones familiares, retiros y bodas. Beautiful Costa Rican Caribbean Retreat!

We loved our stay here. The property was well maintained, clean and secure.The location was perfect for our adventures throughout the beautiful Talamanca region and close to town for great shopping and dining options. The onsite staff were friendly and always ready to assist with any needs. The beauty of this property can not be understated. Roger also helped make our stay even more memorable including making reservations for my birthday dinner and staff brought me some chocolate and a birthday card. Don’t hesitate to book this property. You won’t be disappointed!

Paradise!

Waking up to the sounds of the beach is amazing! Just a short walk down through their beautiful garden with a resident sloth is the black sand and warm waves. The room was quite comfortable. The bathroom could use a couple more hooks for wet items since things take a while to dry. The property managers are extremely responsive to any concerns and very welcoming!

Perfect place for our Pura Vida adventure!

🌴This was an amazing place to experience this magical country. 🌸 The secure parking and location were very important to us. We loved the amazing view of the ocean and easy beach access through a beautifully landscaped yard. The hosts are very responsive and helpful with excellent communication and recommendations. There were many thoughtful touches - a bottle of wine, chocolate and gorgeous flowers greeted our arrival. Thank you for making Camp chairs available - a smaller cooler to take cold drinks or fruit for a day’s adventures would be even sweeter. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and flatware. US residents may expect standard basic pantry ingredients or food storage, and should be aware they are not available, fyi. We would definitely stay here again!

Tropical dream location

Really everything you could ask for in a place to stay in this region of Costa Rica. Pics are completely accurate. Beautiful all the way around. Safely gated parking. Path to beach. Black beach and water were great. FYI black beach gets hot under sun. Outside shower to rinse was super helpful. Hard place to leave. Would do a Punta Uva run in the morning for perfect combo.

Fall asleep to the pounding surf and wake up to birdsong

We completely loved our stay here! The setting was lovely—-out of the hub bub of Puerto Viejo, quiet, looking onto a garden, then ocean. While we were there the waves were too big to allow swimming, but there are great swimming areas nearby. We really appreciated the host’s special touches—coffee and filters in site, a few cold beer, wine and chocolate. Beautiful, artisan shampoos and bath gel in the shower. And, the site is gated, so after travelling all around the country, we felt we could exhale, relax and just enjoy. This was a beautiful site to finish off our Cista Rican experience. We are so happy to have found it!!

Paradise on the Beach

You couldn’t ask for anything more 👍❤️ It was an amazing relaxing, experience. The location on the beach of the property was beautiful with the sound of the waves. the Cabin was as you can imagine from the photos. 👍👍👍

Perfect Love Nest/Getaway

This property is as advertised. If anything, the property is understated in its beauty. Inside the unit we had everything we needed to begin and end our days on a gorgeous note. We were awakened and lulled to sleep by the constant sounds of the ocean. We began each day sipping coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean and ended each day in the same spot with adult beverages. Jocelyn and Shevonne were both extremely helpful with the checkin process and throughout our stay. Did I mention the beach is all of 200 meters away? La Pura Vida!!!!

Everything was terrific. This was the perfect place to relax. The property had easy access to the beach as well as being an easy drive to the town of Puerto Viejo. The place was beautifully designed meeting all the needs for a stress-free stay.

Wonderful Villa

We stayed 6 nights and it was fantastic. It's very clean, and looks exactly like the pictures. The ocean is right out the front, the beach is all black sand. The ocean is warm and beach is not crowded at all. Property is very secure with locked gates and codes to get in and out, parking is inside the gates and secure as well. There's a safe to lock up valuables. The beds are great. 3 fans to keep you cool. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. Water is hot. Outside showers to rinse off after the ocean. Really a perfect place, I couldn't ask for anything more. There's two very friendly resident cats, Rebel and Sally, they're very cute. They were great to have around and would visit when we sat out on the veranda. I would absolutely return to this piece of paradise and stay here again.

We live in Washington, DC (nope, we are not politicians;) with our teen son and daughter, and one adorable dog, Red.

Karen fell madly in-love with Puerto Viejo on her first trip (Spring Break with her daughter, 2017), which led to this new adventure!

We are so excited to share Villas Serenidad with you! It’s perfect if you’re looking for relaxation (hey, we live in DC, we KNOW how important it is to get away & relax!), connection, a little bit of adventure or exploration, and fun.

It’s ideal for couples (cozy up in one of the smaller villas), families (we’ve got a 3-bedroom home for rent too:), girlfriend getaways (we can sleep at least 12-14 on the property), or retreats (there is no more perfect spot on this coast, IF you want to be right AT the beach, doing yoga, teaching, etc).

We love Puerto Viejo because it has such an authentic vibe. You wont find big fancy resorts or golf courses over beautiful beaches, nature at its finest, and people from around the world connecting & sharing the pura vida lifestyle.
