The apartment had an ideal location being only steps away from one of the best small beaches on the island. Stephen, who was one of the security guards for the property was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and provided all of our needs. The ocean breeze kept the temperature comfortable within the apartment. The onsite restaurant was very good as well..

Fabulous apartment with a stunning view of the beach. Very clean with everything you could wish for. The team were extremely helpful and friendly.We were lucky to have visited whilst it was still quiet and literally had the beach to ourselves at times. The on site Casa Roots restaurant is highly recommended with great food and excellent staff/service. We had a car for our entire stay, which you do need, if you wish to explore this lovely Island.

Wonderful location

Spent a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful 8 days in Runaway Bay. Fantastic location right on the beach. Even had the beach to ourselves on a few occasions. The staff were brilliant, very polite, friendly and helpful.

Idyllic spot for a quiet break

Beautiful peaceful spot. If you are looking for a quiet beach and don't require lots of nightlife and excitement, this is perfect. Apartments right on the beach, a wonderful bar/restaurant open just 4 days a week. We had a very comfortable stay here and will return!

What a wonderful place and great location, our stay was so enjoyable and the hosts, manager and staff were all really accommodating, most helpful, lovely people to meet. The apartment was exactly as described and in a perfect location by the sea, views wonderful. Facilities also great and with a great restaurant next door. I would thoroughly recommend a stay.

Absolutely amazing property. Our apartment was absolutely on the beach and I heard ocean from the apartment. The beach was like “ I am in my own private ocean “. We loved it.

Fabulous Stay

We loved everything about our stay at BBA. We were warmly greeted by Stephen when we arrived and he did a great job of getting us oriented. The apartment wasn't fancy but had everything we needed, the table and loungers on our private patio were perfect and the beach is pristine. I'd say a car is necessary and it would be difficult to walk anywhere from this location but it's totally worth being in a less busy area. We will stay again.

Wonderful

We could not have been closer to the beach! We were very happy with our accommodations. The host was very responsive. If you needed anything at all or had questions they were very quick to respond. the staff —everyone from the servers to the parking lot attendant and security were extremely friendly and helpful. The food at Casa Roots was outstanding. I had the best mahi ever !! we ate at three other resorts while we were staying at Barrymore and none beaches were as nice as the beach at Barrymore. The other 3 beaches at these resorts still had beer bottles and trash left over from the night before. At Barrymore, they were even out early to clean any leaves up that would blow on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Very nice, clean and well managed.

Lovely four day stay with my wife and daughter. Lovely views. You can almost jump from the veranda to the sea. Working appliances all in good condition. Internet is slow however. Not sure why. Would highly recommend.

This was a great vacation location. The water really is that color. Brilliant view and a really wonderful beach - Runaway Bay is beautiful! Well positioned for the trade winds too. The upstairs apartment facing the NW was as described, and is pretty well appointed. In general it was clean, but the fans were rather dirty, as were some fixtures (dust), so deep cleaning would help. But cleanliness was certainly adequate and the two day cleaning cycle meant any sand, trash or mess was cleared away. Beds were comfortable, and AC in the bed rooms was really welcome. The kitchen, although sufficient did not have a lot of cooking utensils or plates etc. We lost water for about 6 h but it was fixed with a suitable apology. The employees at Barrymore apartments were really friendly and helpful - at least all we met. Linda really helped us with the water issue and also a minor ant infestation that developed while we were there (was not an issue). Response to queries was quick, and helpful. Only a few minutes drive to excellent grocery stores. The location is perfect to unplug, relax and to use as a base to explore Antigua. A wonderful island and we would return to Barrymore apartments! A final big plus - the restaurant right next door - Casa Roots - is incredible and we had a series of wonderful meals there. In our opinion this is an excellent VRBO with a great location!

Excellent Propertry

With exception of being locked out of the gated entry with no buzzer to push for acceess/entry to the property upon check-in, we couldn't be happier. (We don't have international calling on our cell phones so it was impossible to call anyone for entry) I would argue this is one of the best beaches on the island.

Wonderful Gem right on the beach!

Just finished up our stay at Barrymoore’s Apartments. The place is fantastic. Comfortable rooms that have all you need for a long or short stay. Check in was a breeze and we arrived early. They took care of us and got us into our room. Can’t say enough about the beach. Just breathtaking. The restaurant next door..Casa Roots has the best food on the beach, hands down. Thanks for a relaxing few days on the beach! ☀️🇦🇬

Overall a great location and place. Highly suggest installing a dishwasher or a double sink. Single sink not ideal for dishwashing. Also, leave extra garbage bags, paper towel, and towels.

Yep, it's right on the beach

Excellent location right on a very nice beach - meaning just steps away. Fantastic view from the apartment. I would have given it 5 stars but there were a few simple things that would make it perfect that should be improved: 1) Stock the apartment better with basics like complete sets of dishes/utensils and at least a few basic pantry staples (only thing there was a lone pepper shaker. 2) Trim back the large bush off the terrace that's encroaching on the fabulous view. That said, we still had a great visit. Thanks!

Beautiful

The « cottage » was as pretty as the picture showing. Very clean. People working there are very welcoming. The beach there is perfect over perfect. I wish there was clim in all of the appartement, but there was in the bedroom. The location is perfect, steps form the beach. I wish the trees were cut so we can see the beach. There was kids in the next appartement, we could hear them like if they were right beside us. But anyways, we loved loved the appartement. It was fabulous!

Our stay of a month at this condo was fantastic. Our unit was right on the beach and that in itself was a real gem - white sand, no rocks, smaller beach which gave you more of a private vib and perfect for swimming. We rented a car and travelled extensively, close to grocery store…a must to use Google Maps as there’s almost no street signage. Manager at the complex was great, grounds people and maid service 3 times a week was great as well. Separate building for laundry. Would stay here again.

Beautiful views, great location!!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights. It was exactly as was described in the listing. This unit has the best view on the property. AC in both bedrooms was a big plus as it was hot in June. 10 feet away from the ocean. Casa Roots Restaurant on the property was very cute and we really enjoyed lunch on our first day. Unfortunately it was closed on Monday and Tuesday so couldn’t go again. Dickinson Bay was just a 2 min drive where we did jet ski, rented a private boat for snorkeling and watching beautiful sunset. We also did horse back riding, wouldn’t recommend that. Floating bar was so cute. Ana’s restaurant there was a beautiful experience. Will highly recommend to stay here.
