    The staff are always pleasant, friendly and welcoming.

    The staff are always pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The lodges are always clean & extremely dog friendly, it’s lovely to have the wooded area to the beach. Just a few observations on this stay: please could each lodge be given a tiered airer for drying clothes, the current ones are so inadequate & unstable. We asked Receptionist & was told ‘No’ however on approaching Housekeeping, she was really helpful & arranged for one that day - what a difference in customer service! Perfectly understand it is a busy time of year, we did notice the wooded area & surrounding area to our lodge (38 - 41) was quite overgrown with many brambles, thistles & thorny bushes that made it quite difficult to walk our dog compared to other lodges we have previously stayed at which are well kept. That said it will not deter us from staying there, but would request a different lodge next time if possible. Woodside retreat is in a lovely location and I still recommend it to my friends with dogs as a lovely break.

    The holiday was very good which was helped with the location of Woodside bay and the lovely lodge to return to after our day. The lovely early check in was much appreciated and unexpected. There were some items that could be improved such as cleaning. The coffee table was dirty. The windows inside and outside were not clean. The lodge we had seemed like it had water damage on the floor and the fixtures such as kitchen and bathroom. The gutters were full of weeds and plants which meant the rain poured over the gutters and kept us awake one night. Again all this said it would not stop us from returning in the future.
