Cute and great location in Florence

The apartment was well furnished and in a great location. Ilse checked us in and showed us where everything in the apartment is. A great place to stay in Florence within walking distance of the duomo !

Loved it!

Perfect location, loved the rooftop patio. Steps would be challenging for some guests, but not a problem for us.

Great apartment in perfect location

This well kept apt is full of local charm with all the amenities you'd expect. Clean, comfortable and quiet just off main streets and just a block to Piazza Santa Croce with so many great restaurants in the area. This area felt safe for female travellers and more authentic than the main overcrowded tourist areas, yet only a 10 to 20 minute walk away. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great location

This apartment is spacious, close to everything, and easy walking to all the sites. The rooftop patio is lovely. Unfortunately we were not able to utilize it much because it rained frequently during our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom is huge. Note: there are 59 steps in a narrow staircase to climb to reach the apartment, and another 8 steps to access the apartment once inside. My husband is 71 and I am almost 70, and we managed just fine.

Great central location

This place was so nicely located, easily walkable to everywhere and close to cafes and restaurants. The flat was spacious and cool and the terrace really added a plus to the holiday! Communication was easy and thorough. Only thing to note is that we had to pay someone to let us in and show us around as we landed after check in time. I would have like to know this when booking it, otherwise great experience !

Charming

I loved this property. I just didn’t enjoy going up 57 steps to get to it. My cousin and I are 69 years old and we both have bad knees. So if you have knee or back problems, it’s a little difficult to go up. Otherwise, I loved the place. The beds were very comfortable and the rooftop terrace was so delightful with a most charming view.

Great location, could be cleaner

The apartment was well-stocked with cleaning/cooking supplies. A/C worked very well. There is very fast, reliable internet. Host was eager to communicate and checked in regularly. The apartment was in a good location, less than a 15 minute walk to all of the sites that we wanted to visit. However, the apartment was not as clean as expected, particularly in the bedrooms and the refrigerator.

Florence fun!

A superb location puts visitors a half mile from almost all the main sites to see in historic Firenze. Walking is an adventure down busy, narrow streets but small cafes and groceries give plenty of opportunity for resting and people watching. Back home, the well appointed apartment hosts an easy to navigate kitchen and fabulous airy bedroom. The final treat is the 5th story patio, shaded from the sun and complete with plants and a sweet Bistro table and chair setup. There are stairs (it’s on the 4th floor) but totally worth the effort. Florence was grand thanks to this lovely respite at the end of the day.

Nice apartment for stairmaster fans.

Apartment was spacious and comfortable. The unit was very well equipped, close to major sites and bus routes.It would have been nice to know about the 57 step(5 flights) climb to get to the unit, another steep flight to the sleeping alcove( not a bedroom) and another flight of stairs to the rooftop deck.My intial communication to the host indicated we were seniors. Communication with the host was challenging. I received multiple calls to my US cell in the middle of the night and no messages were left. I eventually received an inquiry thru the APP which I answered promptly. The check out time listed on the VRBO booking is different than the hosts contract.

After a train strike, we had to make alternate arrangements to get to Florence from Venice; I kept the host abreast of our updates as and when we knew about them. The host advised us the morning of our arrival that because we were arriving after 4 pm that she could not accommodate our stay, which made our travels extremely stressful. After I commented that I would be reporting her, she changed her mind and stated she would have a third party open the unit for us. Upon our arrival, she asked if we would remunerate the third party for having to stay in the unit for an hour until we arrived (6:30 pm), this is not the responsibility of the guest and is totally unprofessional. I find the description about the unit lacking as it does not advise you this is up 5.5 flights of stairs and the bathroom is not en-suite; the refrigerator smelled bad as if some rotten food was in it previously and not cleaned properly. The couch being covered with a red throw was not inviting at all. It was a shock to me to learn that the patio is on an upper floor, so if one wanted to relax on the patio with a cup of coffee be careful as the staircase to the patio is quite steep. Next time we will skip this! Not worth the money, nor the time nor the stress!

Lovely apartment in historical area

This is a nice apartment located near San Croce in the historical area. The apartment is clean and well furnished. The kitchen has everything needed to cook and wash clothes. There are the usual street noises, but nothing excessive. The rooftop area is a nice place to have a meal. We were there in November, so it's probably even more of a draw in warmer months. We walked from the train to the apartment, but it's a bit far through a strange city. Take a bus or taxi. We had a little confusion connecting with Ilsa, but that was more our fault than hers. Wifi was fine for th phones, but we were unable to connect the laptop. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

great location, but lots of stairs

This is a clean, slightly aged flat, in a very good location for seeing the sites of Florence. The main living room space is a well equipped kitchen, and small dining area , with a sofa just fitting. The main bedroom is very large and comfortable The second bedroom, is extremely small just room for a mattress, The terrace was great, looking out opposite a rooftop garden. The flat is on the top (3rd) floor, so a degree of fitness is necessary to return to, after a full day of site seeing,.The location is it’s biggest selling point, walkable from the train station, no more than 20 minutes walk to all the museums. lse, the landlady, was very helpful, answering our questions, and checked on us during our stay. We really enjoyed our Florence stay.

Amazing space close to everything

We’ve just finished a month’s stay in this apartment. It has everything you could ask for. Amazing location. Well appointed. Beautifully decorated. Strong WiFi. Excellent restaurants are close by, including PizzAgnoli and Bistro Teatro. A short walk to groceries, including Mercato Sant’Ambrosio. We look forward to coming again!

Amazing location

The property was just as advertised,quite spacious as there was just two of us. The rooftop terrace is actually quite nice for an evening glass of wine or a morning espresso. This was our second rental of our holiday and it truly felt like an Italian home, The only thing I would mention and it certainly isn’t a dealbreaker is that there’s only air-conditioning in one bedroom. I would recommend this flat to anyone as the location is perfect and you can walk to almost all major attractions.enjoy…we certainly did Caio

Bel appartement avec terrasse proche du centre

Excellent séjour dans cet appartement bien aménagé et confortable dans lequel on se sent vite chez soi. Cuisine fonctionnelle avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires et salle de bain agréable avec son puits de lumière. Climatisation dans les deux chambres, ce qui est bien utile en été ! La belle terrasse fleurie est un réel atout. L'appartement se situe à deux pas des lieux touristiques et de la belle place et de l'église Santa Croce, tout en étant au calme. Il est à noter que son accès demande une bonne forme physique puisqu'il se trouve au quatrième étage d'un escalier assez raide et qu'il dispose aussi d'un escalier intérieur qui peut être dangereux pour les enfants en bas âge et les personnes âgées. Ilse et son fils nous ont réservé un accueil sympathique et la communication fut fluide.

Great location to many of Florence's marvels.

This flat is compact but comfortable with just enough space three or four. Within 10-15 minutes walks of the Duoma, the Uffizi, the Pointe Vecchio and many other great places. Plus lots of gelatoterias around.

A welcome return!

We stayed in Ilse’s Florentine apartment for the second time and it was just as great as the first. It was perfect for a family of 3 with everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. We were staying during the heat wave Florence was having and the air conditioned apartment to come home to was so appreciated. When the evening cooled down the rooftop terrace was a perfect spot to have a drink and a listen to the bells of Santa Croce. Her apartment is situated so perfectly for walking to all the sites of Florence. The grocery store was near by as well as a tasty gelato for an evening stroll to the Piazza Santa Croce. Ilse was easy to get a hold of if you needed anything. We loved our stay and will be back again! Thank you Ilse!!!

Wunderschöne Wohnung mit Dachterrasse

Die Wohnung absolut perfekt gelegen, inmitten der Altstadt von Florenz in einer ruhigen Gasse. Alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Wohnung selbst ist absolut stilecht eingerichtet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und mit dem absoluten i Tüpfelchen der Dachterrasse ein toller Erholungsort für entspannte Tage in einer großartigen Stadt.
