We were very pleased with the accommodations and assistance from the owner and members of his family. We were close to everything we wanted to see and easily took the vaporetto to familiar restaurants in other squares.

Great place, location and host

Located close to many attractions ( but a little away from the San Marco crowds ) stylish, comfortable property, well equipped and set up. Helpful and friendly host, easy to communicate with. Overall, a very good experience.

Nello was very quick to answer any questions we had before we booked. We asked for a crib and he had it all set up and even sent us pictures of it.Once we booked he gave us multiple options and tips to get to the apartment. Once we got to the dock he was there to meet us and bring our suitcases to the apartment. We got in and he showed us around and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. The apartment was in a great location, very close to many sights. Lots of great restaurants around. The rooms were very quiet and we were able to have a baby napping while talking in the living room.Nello was available for any questions during our stay and exceptionally friendly.

Oasis of tranquility. Excellent location.

The apartment was fabulous and far exceeded our expectations. It was so clean, cool (excellent air con in each room) and comfortable with stunning bathrooms and in a great location too. Nello made us feel really welcome at check in, he met us from the vaporetto and showed us to the apartment where he had provided many unexpected touches: an enormous bowl of fresh fruit, crisps and water for us to enjoy. Grazie Nello we will definitely return.

Lil' slice of heaven !!!

Absolutely beautiful -very comfortable, large, two bedroom, two bathroom with all the ammenities! Close proximity to everything! Supermarket, lau dromat, San Marco square, Rialto bridge and many restaurants. Highly recommend and won't disappoint <3

Excellent rental

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful apartment in Venice. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. Ornello was a welcoming host. When he couldn’t meet us because he had to be out of for work, his wife, daughter, and son met us at the vaporetto station, brought us to the apartment, and showed us around. They were so kind and even provided some of their favorite foods for us. We felt very well taken care of and would love to stay there again.

Perfect Location! 6 minutes to everything!

Clean, spacious, unique Venice property! Nello helped arrange a water taxi. 6 minutes to Rialto Bridge and other attractions. Water pressure was hot and great. Wifi was strong. Beds comfy. Host had fresh fruit & biscotti upon arrival. A/C worked great! Safe, quiet neighborhood. Restaurant below property was fabulous; order the 4 cheese gnocchi. Would stay here again!!! Highly recommend for my family of 4 adults! Thank you Nello!

BEAUTIFUL house in a wonderful location. Nello was an amazing host. Always communicating, and so helpful. He went above and beyond making sure everything was perfect for us. We arrived to a clean apartment, some fruit and cold drinks. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It was a girl’s trip and we felt very safe in the apartment. Highly recommend Nello’s BIG HOUSE. This will be my go to house to rent when I come to Venice again. Thank you Nello!

Wonderful apartment in great location with gracious hosts

Nello and family were outstanding hosts. They met us at the vaporetto stop and gave us a little tour of the neighborhood on our way to the apartment. They explained all the features and how to use the various equipment/appliances, gave us restaurant recommendations and left us with some delightful snacks. The apartment is in a great location between Rialto and S Marco, a bustling neighborhood that was quiet at bedtime. The air conditioning worked great and the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. It is spacious and the showers were a very nice size. The beds were very comfy. The pictures are very accurate. I can't say enough good things about it. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Apartment in Quiet Area, Great Location!

This apartment has it all. Recently remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, clean throughout, 3 a/c units (1 for each bedroom, 1 central) to make it the temperature you like, spacious, with plenty of closet space, and comfortable beds. It is ideally situated, with only about a short walk to San Marco and the south part of Venice and the Rialto bridge.. Our refrigerator had fresh water, chocolate, coffee & a bottle of wine. There was enough fresh fruit that we couldn't finish it all in 5 days. You have pots, pans, silverware, glasses, plates, a microwave, 4-burner stove, etc. if you would like to dine in, a comfortable sofa with a TV, travel books to read, and 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortably firm beds. Between the ambience, location, quiet (except for the occasional, brief, tour group), furnishings, and the delightful owner (who will meet your water taxi and guide you to the apartment), we had a safe, relaxing homebase from which to explore Venice. This is the place we will book on our next trip to Venice. Compared to other properties, and the tiny hotel rooms available, this is unbeatable!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans l’appartement. Il est parfaitement situé. La propreté : c est impeccable. L appartement est très très bien équipé Ornello nous a réservé un accueil très chaleureux ( une magnifique coupe de fruits et du Prosecco nous attendait !) La gentillesse de Nello, sa bonne humeur et son dévouement ont été un plus qui a rendu notre séjour inoubliable ! Allez y les yeux fermés vous serez enchanté ! Grazie mille Nello!

Best apartment in Venice - Stay here!

A friend and I rented Bighouse apartment for 5 days in December 2022. It was perfect! Nello was in touch with us before we arrived to let us know exactly which vaporetto to take from the train station. He met us at the Rialto bridge with umbrellas, since it was raining, and walked us to the apartment while pointing out places of interest along the way. The apartment itself - on the first floor so only one set of stairs - was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided. There was a full kitchen that even had an American coffee maker, plenty of pots, pans, dishes, tableware. The living area had comfortable, stylish seating and a modern TV which we used in the evening to improve our Italian by watching Italian shows. The two bedrooms each had a very comfortable queen bed and the bathrooms were luxurious. There was a towel warmer and the sinks and showers were tiled with gorgeous Murano glass tiles. The photos truly do not do this apartment justice! On top of his warm welcome, Nello left us a huge bowl full of fresh fruit and chilled Prosecco in the fridge. If I could give this apartment more than a five star rating, I would. The location was also excellent, with St Mark’s Square, the Rialto bridge, and the vaporetto stop for Murano all within a ten minute walk. Nello recommended several restaurants right in the area, which were excellent and not in the touristy areas, so had more authentic Venetian offerings. Nello is the ultimate host and has provided his beautiful apartment to make the most of one’s visit to Venice.

What a Wonderful Find!

This unit couldn’t have been more wonderful! It is a beautiful unit that has been updated with all modern conveniences, the location is perfect to get around Venice, and the owner is just wonderful! We couldn’t have found a better rental. Mr. Bighouse, the owner, met us in the rain, where our water taxi delivered us with umbrellas! He then proceeded to show us through the unit and how to work everything. Make your stay in Venice, a memorable one by renting this unit!

Perfect Location To Walk The Island

What a wonder apartment and location. Nello and his family were the perfect host for our 2 day visit Venice. Nello met us at the water taxi stop and got us settled in to the apartment. He took time to help us get the lay of the land and said if we needed anything just to call. The apartment was in the perfect. It had all the amenities of home. The major sights and attractions were all reachable by foot. Great restaurants and shops just out side your door. We will use Nello and this location if and when we return to Venice.

All was perfect from the great location until the flat and friendliness of Nello make our stay super

The flat was very clean and very well furnished. The location is just between St Marco and Rialto which is absolutely the best you can have. The host Nello is just super nice, friendly, helpful and molto simpatico!!!!!. The place is very safe and we had all the comfort we could dream of! Thank you very much 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
