This rental is absolutely right in the middle of the royal mile -- an excellent location, near most of the tourist hot-spots. It is, however, despite the shutters and good windows, loud much of the time (lots of street noise, buskers, etc). That's the trade-off of being right in the thick of things. There were two minor items not working in the rental (in-sink garbage disposal, bathroom extractor fan) but I'm assuming they'll be fixed soon enough. It is also up two tall flights of stairs, so be prepared to do some stair climbing. Still, the higher you get from the royal mile, the less street noise.The rental team accommodated our early check-in and were good with communication. The rental was clean, well appointed, and the laundry machine was much appreciated. Wifi was flawless, which was good since we did need to work remotely part of the time we were in the flat. Fridge, dishwasher, stove all worked great.Overall, what you're paying for with this flat is the location. It comes with street noise and some flights of stairs, but the location really can't be better if you're interested in the amenities of the royal mile.

The good thing about this apt is that the two bedrooms are in good size and condition and the bathroom is nice. The location is great if you only want to explore the nearby area. However from day one the wifi doesn't work in the bedrooms, especially the main bedroom. They sent a person with a different router but once he left it didn't work. They said it was because the walls are too thick. If it is a common problem and it should be in the description and they should not charge more than $600 for one night. Second the bedroom doors and bathroom doors do not have door stopper behind the doors, but the portable ones we had to insert them under the door or took them off from under the doors, which is inconvenient. Those doors are very heavy and not easy to do so.
