This tastefully renovated and nicely decorated light Houseboat-Apartment is located on a unique historic island which is a very popular residential area on the urban island of Prinseneiland. The island is like an old-fashioned village in the center of Amsterdam and is inhabited by a nice mix of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdammers.

The Western Islands: Bickerseiland, Prinseneiland and Realeneiland are three islands in the center of Amsterdam. They are located south of the IJ and the “Naval heroes neigborhood” (Zeeheldenbuurt). between Central Station and Amsterdam-Sloterdijk, west of the Westerdok and east of the Planciusbuurt on the Westerkanaal. The Western Islands form the core of the Gouden Reael district, part of the Centrum district, which also consists of the adjacent Westerdokseiland, the “Haarlemmer neighborhood” (Haarlemmerbuurt) and the Planciusbuurt.

The Western Islands are a small world in themselves, are suitable for walks and nowadays often the setting for filming. From the beginning, there have been warehouses and shipyards on the Western Isles. They formed an important part of the atmosphere on the islands, a combination of working and living.

Close to the famous Jordaan area and weekly markets such as the "Noordermarkt" are also just around the corner on Saturday and Monday. A lovely area with many things to do and see!

Entrance: The entrance is, through a garden gate, on street level and through the hall you enter the living room where you will find a nice kitchenette with SMEG appliances and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

This Studio Apartment is part of a large houseboat and is completely private from the other part of the houseboat.

This modern, fully renovated and beautifully decorated houseboat features a 6-star king size bed with beautiful water views, a large wardrobe, handmade folding dining table and an easy chair.

In the wide windowsill, opposite the bed, you will find a recessed smart TV (cable) and free Wi-Fi.

It has beautiful large sliding windows with direct access to the private terrace with a fantastic view over the canal and the 400 year old warehouses.

The kitchenette contains a refrigerator, induction hob, toaster, Nespresso machine and kitchenware.
If desired, your laundry will be taken care of.

Adjacent to the hall and living room is a very neat and modern bathroom with rain shower, sink and separate toilet.

The Houseboat is only 12 minutes walking distance from the central station with very good train connections from Amsterdam Airport.

There are several large parking garages with competitive rates in this area.

There are tram-bus stops around the corner with connections to most places of interest in Amsterdam.

The host or related property manager of the property will contact you directly to arrange check-in. Please note that late check-in after 8 pm, in consultation with your host, may be possible at an extra cost of EUR 30. Late check-in after 8 pm pm is on request.

A security deposit of EUR 500 is required for incidentals. Procedure: After receiving the final reservation confirmation, the payment details are stored but not charged or authorized for the deposit unless the host makes a claim.

The host has 14 days from your checkout date to make a claim on the deposit for damages to their property. Depending on the extent of the damage, the amount the host asks may or may not be the same as the deposit.
