Le brinda una sensación mucho mejor de la propiedad, una ubicación tranquila y muestra la proximidad al borde del agua y al muelle. The Treehouse es un segundo piso de 2 dormitorios, 28x32. Tiene una combinación de baño completo con bañera / ducha, una bomba de calor con calefacción y refrigeración eléctrica, una estufa y refrigerador. Hay una lavadora y secadora y 1/2 baño en la planta baja. Almacenamiento solo en el primer piso. Genial para bicicletas si traes algunas. La espaciosa sala de estar con techo abovedado tiene un sofá cama queen. La sala de estar se abre a una terraza a través de puertas corredizas de vidrio. Se proporciona una parrilla eléctrica. La costa de Bass Harbor está a solo un corto paseo por el camino de entrada, donde hay un muelle compartido con otras dos cabañas, un bote de remos y kayaks para uso de nuestros inquilinos.
Desde este acogedor espacio en un auténtico pueblo de pescadores, visite el Parque Nacional Acadia, Somes Sound (el único fiordo en la costa este) y muchas tiendas, museos y galerías en nuestras 3 ciudades isleñas. Innumerables artistas y artesanos se sienten atraídos por la región por su belleza natural. Las aventuras al aire libre abundan en este paisaje agreste. Enjoyable stay

My partner and I were glad to stay here. We particularly enjoyed kayaking in the inlet that is at most a two minute walk from the property. About 30 minutes' drive from Bar Harbor where a lot of restaurants, shops, and some trails are, but quite close to other trails like Wonderland and a small town that is less crowded than Bar Harbor and has great food. Would happily stay here again!

The property was as advertised except it didn’t capture the beauty of the overall property. House was clean, well equipped and in a quiet and beautiful setting. Manager was very responsive and enjoyable to work with. Would definitely stay there again

Great location and immaculately clean. Very much enjoyed walking to the dock everyday to check the tide and kayaking. Peaceful and beautiful area. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place on the quieter side of Acadia

We really enjoyed our time in Acadia - this is a great location for the quieter part of Acadia, which we enjoyed a lot. Loved being able to take the kayaks and rowboat out on the water.

Great stay, quieter side of MDI

We had a wonderful time over on the quiet side of MDI. Easy access to Southwest Harbor and Acadia. Easy to get to Bar Harbor but away from the crowds of people. Access to the dock and kayaks was a plus. Greatly enjoyed our stay!

Nice place to stay close to Acadia National Park in the quieter part of the island. A lot of nice restaurants close by. Treetop retreat was smaller than we expected but was plenty of room for our party of 4. It is a second story house so you must go up a set of stairs to access the house. Wasn’t bad except for when lugging heavy suitcases and coolers up. The beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed on our stay. Having access to the washer & dryer downstairs was a plus. We didn’t get time to enjoy the canoe & kayaks but love that it was an option. Host was very quick to answer questions. Thank you for sharing your vacation rental with us.

Beautiful tree house

We enjoyed staying and working at the Tree House. We kayaked each morning in Bass Harbor and went on more adventures in the afternoon. Tha location was perfect quiet and accessible to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The tree house was clean and very comfortable.

Couple Getaway

My husband & I loved staying at this treehouse location. It was the perfect size, equipped with all we needed for our stay. It was about 30 min from everything we wanted to do while visiting Acadia. If we hadn’t stayed here, and opted for Bar Harbor, we would never have seen this part of the area. Plus, the kayaks were a fun activity. Would stay again!

Treetop charm

A very charming, bright and cheery space. We enjoyed the quietside location away from the hustle but close enough to Acadia park. The views from the dock were beautiful. We had a relaxing stay. The host was very responsive in helping us with our needs.

Great cleaning protocols

Everything about this property was great. It was a lovely location and the property manager was WONDERFUL with communication. My biggest issue traveling during this time was cleanliness. I have to say the space was immaculate! I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. We had a great time!

Perfect Maine Getaway!

The treehouse is a perfect summer spot. The photos do not do it justice; it is clean and tidy and the kitchen has every tool you could imagine needing (far from classic rental sparseness!). The location was perfect on Acadia's quiet-side, and the dock / kayak access was such a wonderful touch! Though it is a slight walk away from the house; the dock is not connected to the treehouse. Stacy was very responsive to all of our questions, within half an hour. I really have no complaints and would certainly recommend my friends stay here, or we stay here again!

Great cottage in the quiet corner of Acadia

This cottage is charming and comfy. It has everything you need, plenty of bedding, kitchen wares, towels, etc. The deck and patio set are great. The trees grew up taking away a potential view of the bay, but the trees do give the treehouse feel and privacy. We used the kayaks, dock, and garden areas quite a lot. The tide is very dramatic and the bay empties out, it will take a day or so to get used to that. The location is tranquil and out of the way, but there are quality restaurants and convenience stores within a mile or two. Just a couple of things, not a complaint, but informative, there is not a dishwasher so pack paper goods if you're staying as a family. Also, there is a long staircase up to the cottage. The steps are fine and there are handrails, but anyone in the party staying there needs to understand that you'll be doing these stairs to come and go, take out the trash, and do laundry, so you'll be doing them often. If we return to Acadia we will definitely consider this cottage again!

Budget Accomodations at Champagne Prices

NOT what we paid for or expected from the pictures or the online description. I'm sharing the lesson we learned first, in case you don't make it through my complaint-o-gram: We decided to make the best of a bad situation while we were on vacation & called VRBO to complain when we returned home. VRBO said that we should have called them when we arrived. They assured me that, given the situation, they would have moved us to new, safer accomodations. I will remember that for the future. For the price we paid, this should have been way nicer. We got rooked . MOST importantly, this rental did not feel safe. The steep grade of the stairs was certainly not to code and there was no type of slip protection on the narrow boards. When they were dew-covered in the morning, they were impossible to safely climb up and down. We had an infant with us and it was very stressful every time we had to climb them. The surfaces of the unit were clean; however, all of the furniture was old & worn. The fabric chairs & sofa didn't smell clean. Another safety issue: there was a jagged bar of metal sticking out of the side of the sofa. I didn't see it & injured my leg on it on day 1. 7 days later when we left, I still had a bruise the size of a softball on my leg. That jagged, metal bar was also right at eye level when our 10 month old was crawling. We blocked it as best we could, but it made it hard to relax & enjoy our stay. The dishes were chipped & mismatched, sheets on one of the beds had holes in them, many of the towels needed to be thrown out. The "2nd" bathroom should not have been counted with this unit - totally inaccurate. It is on the first floor, completely separate from the unit, and opens to the outdoors. It is not fully finished out and there's some sort of weird sewage box right next to the toilet that makes crazy noises any time you use the water. It looks like the restroom & storage area for the many handypeople & workers that constantly come and go. And who's going to be able to get down the slippy stairs after dark or in the early morning to use it anyways? Another inaccuracy - that cute dock & boat picture? Yeah, that's nowhere near this converted garage rental. You walk between other nicer rentals to get to a dock that is so steeply inclined that most people wouldn't attempt it. There is no where to sit or hang out by the water because you're boxed in by the other rentals. Wouldn't stay here again if it were free.

Deborah, I am sorry you had such a negative experience and I wish that you had contacted us while you were here so that we could have addressed your grievances. We would have happily refunded you so you could have found accommodations more to your liking. Never in our 29 years of renting have we had a negative review as this! So let me start with the jagged metal piece...We looked and it appears the lever for the footrest had broken. Since we have been made aware of this, we have had it repaired. We went through the set of matching dishes and found 2 chipped bowls which we threw out. Unfortunately, dishes and glasses get chipped or broken during the summer season and we don't always notice on busy changeover Saturdays. We have not found the sheets with holes, but there are additional new sheets in each of the bedroom closets and we would have liked the opportunity to remake the beds for you! The stairs are standard rise exterior stairs, reinforced with a steel support. We have never known them to be slippery. Our pictures of the property on VRBO show clearly the rise of the stairs and the deck. The additional bathroom is accessed from the outside of the building on the lower level, as is the laundry and storage which is also available to our cleaners and maintenance. I will make changes in the description of Treehouse on the VRBO site to indicate this as shared space. Lastly, the steep decline of the ramp to the dock. That is an issue of the tides. When the tide is low, the ramp is steep. As the tide rises, the ramp flattens out. We strive to make all of our guests comfortable during their stay and I'm sorry we weren't given the opportunity to make things right for you.
