This rental is a gem! The location is excellent, offering a quiet neighborhood while being incredibly convenient to both Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.The house was clean and equipped with many amenities, including a large TV for relaxing evenings and a peaceful ocean view during the day. We appreciated the comfort of the soft beds after long days of hiking. Highly recommend this comfortable and perfectly located home base!

We enjoyed our stay. Reviews about car headlights shining into the bedroom windows are accurate but didn’t bother us too much. There were a few bugs in the house but that’s gonna be the case anywhere. The check in process was confusing, only because there was no check-in information given ahead of time. The day before our stay when I asked about how to check in, the host responded by saying they hoped I got checked in OK. It was confusing. But all in all it was a good stay. It was pretty clean, everything worked fine, one of the beds was comfortable and the other one seems old, it really caves in in the middle. The door to the bathroom was real loud when opening or closing so we just kept it open at night so that we didn’t wake each other up. Again, I did give this a 5 star rating because the place was fine and the location was solid, these are just some small things that could be improved, that’s all.

This was our third time staying at this property. It’s very close to Hulls Cove visitors center and to Bar Harbor. the house is very clean. Has all the amenities one needs away from home, spacious enough for 4 people. We will be back.

Property itself was pretty nice, one bedroom however smelled terrible, to the point my wife had to sleep in the kids room. Pretty easy to get into town and see the sights. The “bad”. We received absolutely no communication from the host prior to our arrival, we reached out several times via phone and through the VRBO app and never got a response. Luckily the house was just unlocked when we got there. Once we were there the phone was ringing off the hook, after answering a couple of the calls we realized that is why the host never got back to us, the number listed online is the house phone so everyone who wants to stay there or wants information calls the house phone. The rest of the stay was pretty uneventful until we went to checkout, the email we received from VRBO said checkout was 11, however as we were packing and getting our two small children ready for the long car drive, a rather disgruntled cleaning lady asked me how much longer we were going to be and I said well checkout is 11 so maybe another 45 minutes. She then told us no checkout is 10 so we needed to get out as soon as possible. So as to not cause problems we rushed to leave. We were out at 1030, received a call from the host complaining the house wasn’t clean enough upon our departure. We attempted to explain why we didn’t clean as much as we would have but she just wanted to charge us another 50! As a member of the military and landlord i would highly recommend improving management of the property

Wonderful! Check-in was a breeze! Great location - across from the ocean with great views of the sunrise. Walking distance of 1/2 mile from Acadia visitor center and on the Island Explorer bus route. Restaurants and coffee shop very close by. Best of all, the cottage was extremely clean and had all necessary amenities including a washer and dryer. For chilly evenings there is an outdoor gas firepit with Adirondack chairs. HIGHLY recommend!

This lovely cottage is in a perfect location to get anywhere on the island. A lot of thought has gone into the needs of what any visitor could possibly need. Comfortable beds. There’s a lobster bake restaurant right next door that is reasonably priced and very good!

Wonderful!

Cove Cottage is a spotless and comfy place to stay while exploring all that Bar Harbor has to offer. It provided everything we needed and more for our five night stay. We loved the place! The entrance to Arcadia is just 1/4 mi down the road and a great place to eat is right across the street.

Great location

House was in an amazing location! We loved walking over to The Chart room in the evenings for dinner. The beds and pillows were so comfy! We had a mix up while trying to check in and her neighbor was kind enough to reach out and let us in.

Cute little cottage

It was our second stay at this cottage. It’s small but has all the necessary amenities. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, TV, WiFi, small area outside overlooking the bay with beautiful sunrises if wiling to get up by 6:00am. Very close to Hulls Cove Acadia National Park, walking distance. Couple of miles away from Bar Harbor. It was perfect for a family of 3 with a dog. Will be returning again.
