Stunning Coastal Cottage - Sleeping 5 in 2 Bedrooms - Pool and Beach Access Included.

Welcome to Shell Cottage - part of the Bay Filey Holiday Village, sleeping 5 guests, it is ideal for couples or a growing family with children.

This cottage has been lovingly maintained to a high standard and is the pride and joy of the owners.

Park right outside in your own space and enter into the airy hallway with storage for all your essentials and access to the downstairs cloak / WC.

Walk through into the large open plan L shaped lounge with lovely sofa and armchair, SMART TV, dining room (sits 6) and fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer, ninja airfryer and other appliances.

Upstairs the property comprises of 1 king bedroom and 1 second bedroom with double bed and a single bed above "bunk" style. There is a large family bathroom complete with bath and overhead rainfall shower.

Off the lounge area are French doors open onto a private furnished patio with BBQ which is surrounded by large, shared garden and landscaped grounds including a large Boules Court.

Travel Cot and High Chair are available for use free of charge (own bedding required).

We leave a few games for our guests to use. This warm and cosy house is ideal for breaks all year round.

This property is part of The Bay Holiday Village and all bookings gain direct beach access, unlimited use of The Bay Filey Indoor Pool, Baby Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym. Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

New year 2025

We really enjoy coming to The Bay and this year was no exception until New Year’s Eve when Fireworks were going off near our cottage! Our dog is absolutely terrified of them and was unfortunately left very distressed! We pay a lot of money each year to go to The Bay as it is a firework free place so we would definitely think twice before booking in future! Which is a massive shame.

Thank you for your lovely review of Shell Cottage. As we discussed this morning we are sorry your dogs were upset by the fireworks. You are right The Bay Filey is a firework free village BUT you chose a property that is within 100m of a nearby cluster of private houses (on Moor Road) who are able to have fireworks and as this is public land there is little / anything the Bay can do to stop them. Several owners and guests have clarified that fireworks were not set off in the village and were all on public private houses nearby If you do stop again for NYE we have plenty of properties in the village away from fireworks which would suit your needs. A wonderful little cottage

We stayed at Shell Cottage at The Bay. The Cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything a family would need. We had use of a leisure pass which was perfect for my children who enjoyed using the pool. The cottage was situated about a 15-20 minute walk from the lovely beach, which we enjoyed going to. The location was ideal for trips to Filey, Flamborough, Scarborough and Bridlington. We had a lovely break away and would not hesitate to go back to Shell Cottage.

Lovely stay at Shell cottage

This was our 4th time staying at The Bay but our first time in Shell cottage. Shell cottage had everything you need for the perfect stay. The family photographs gave the cottage a lovely family feel. A lovely outdoor patio overlooking a small grassed area. The facilities on The Bay are excellent it’s a shame that the coffee shop has closed. We will definitely return

Lovely little cottage

Lovely cottage, nice setting. We went with our grandchildren, their is a lovely courtyard where all the young children were safe to play football and meet new friends.

Lovely Bank Holiday weekend Stay

Lovely bank holiday weekend stay. It’s my second time at shell cottage. Easy booking and checking in with great information received prior to arrival. My only niggle was that the airfryer was left dirty from a previous guest and appreciate it says that the cleaners are not responsible for this I do think this should be checked. The addition of the larger fridge freezer this year was great. My only recommendation would be if there were a few more larger baking trays available (for pizzas and such like) but overall a lovely stay and a lovely little house. Would stay again. Sorry forgot to write in the guest book.

Perfect base

Had a lovey weekend at this little place , everything you need to know. Beds are very comfy , however the floor boards need sorting upstairs, that was the only gripe . They rest was lovely

Fabulous cottage break

The cottage was lovely, really welcoming, with all mod cons and everything you need, indoors and outdoors. It was great to feel like we were coming to a home from home on an evening. The location is fabulous, close to the beaches, Filey, Flamborough Head and more, including a 40 minute drive to Dalby Forest in the North Yorkshire National Park. I’d happily recommend and stay here again, thank you

A lovely cottage as described in the listing.A little disappointed there’s no welcome pack but there’s a shop on site for essentials.There are lots of lovely grounds to walk your dog. .We used the pub the food was lovely, can recommend.We went to the beach, from the cottage it’s a fair walk down a step slope.The views are fantastic and the beach was excellent,the walk back up the hill could be an issue if you are with young children or older family members, that said there were lots of people down there having a great time.We enjoyed our stay, the owners sent good information and reminders for the code to get into the cottage can highly recommend Shell cottage for your stay.

A lovely family weekend

We are regular visitors to shell cottage and over the years many happy memories have been made. This time was no exception. Shell cottage is comfortable and homely and has everything you need for a family holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk to Filey (3 miles along the beach) and we had a glorious few days on the beach building sandcastles and paddling in the sea. We also went swimming, went to the amusements, and got ice cream sundaes from the pub on site. A fun packed weekend! We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Nice site,well positioned , on site facilities too

She'll cottage is well proportioned with two good bedrooms. The cottage is dog friendly but be aware the outside space is not secure as shared with others. The kitchen is well stocked had everything we required ,the fridge could do with a look at as it moves and it's quite difficult to open and close the door to the little freezer box in fact I cut my finger in trying to open it. The stairs and the upstairs floorboards are so creaky when one person got out of bed they woke the other,I'm glad didn't have children asleep in the other room as the noise would have some them. We found the sofa in the lounge very low to sit on and also uncomfortable we tend to walk for most of the day then want to relax in the evening in front of the Tele ,the Tele kept buffering and stopping the film we where watching so I'm unsure if the Wi-Fi was playing up. The site has facilities but we didn't use them although we where going to go to the pub for a meal but it was not doing food the week we where there. There is access to the beach but we didn't make it all the way as it's quite a steep hill the view was nice though .
