Gold Coast Retreat Haidaway Cottage en la playa de Chesterman

La cabaña Haidaway en Gold Coast Retreat tiene una ubicación ideal, justo al otro lado del camino de la playa a la famosa playa de Chesterman, con dos kilómetros de surf y arena abiertos y 6 km. del pueblo de Tofino. Ofrecemos total privacidad en un entorno tranquilo en una cálida propiedad con orientación sur, a solo un minuto a pie de la playa.

El Haidaway tiene dos dormitorios, la planta baja tiene una cama queen size.
Hay un doble arriba a través de una empinada escalera que no es adecuada para niños muy pequeños o personas con problemas de movilidad.
La casa tiene una cocina completa con estufa de gas, nevera grande y lavavajillas.
El salón tiene una chimenea de gas para calentarse después de un día en la playa.
En el exterior hay una barbacoa en el solárium para cocinar su salmón fresco o su comida especial de vacaciones Tofino.

Báñese en las aguas cristalinas de Clayoquot Sounds en nuestra bañera original con patas de 1908, cómoda para dos, en un solarium cubierto de vid. Los huéspedes nos han dicho que es la bañera de la juventud y se sienten rejuvenecidos.

El Haidaway cuenta con duchas calientes interiores y exteriores, perfectas para surfistas.

Hay internet inalámbrico y de alta velocidad gratis para aquellos que necesitan mantenerse conectados. Se proporciona un teléfono de cortesía para mayor comodidad junto con una lavadora / secadora, lavavajillas, TV vía satélite / música estéreo y un reproductor de DVD.

We love these cottages and Chesterman Beach. Maybe this fact summarizes it: This was our 5th time in Haidaway cottage, and in addition to that, we have been twice in Hacienda. Sulo and Louise are so lovely people, cottages are cozy and well equipped and the location is just great.

Hard to do better than this place

wow. So the location is pretty much as good as you can get without being directly on the beach. At the same time it's so secluded and hidden we felt like we were in a secret garden. All the amenities you could ask for...I have nothing bad to say. it was perfect. communication with the owners is also really good (prompt, informative, friendly etc)

A great getaway tucked in trees

We loved our stay in Sulo and Louise’s cottage. It was cozy, well equipped, great location by the ocean, and loved the surrounding trees. The outdoor bath was a treat!

Wonderful stay at Chesterman Beach

We love staying at Haidaway Cottage. The hosts are very attentive but not intrusive at all. We unfortunately arrived just as a massive storm hit Tofino, so we were without power. Luckily, a thermostat/fireplace was not tied to electricity, so we were able to be comfortable. Our puppy really enjoyed the wild beach during this storm.

Fabulous getaway in Tofino

This cottage has everything one could need for a stay right near Chesterman Beach. Appliances are mostly new and working exceptionally well.. I was delighted to find a gas stove and a Bosch dishwasher. Just bring you snacks/food and beverages, and enjoy!t

Wonderful home away from home

A peaceful oasis, minutes walk from the beach calming waves from a distance. The home is cared for with all the amenities needed for a full weeks stay. Outdoor bath was the cherry on top, well kept and a treat to be in nature while in a bath. We'll come back for sure!

Everything you need and a perfect location!

We had a lovely time at the Haidaway. The cottage was spotless, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. The space was just right for our family of three with my teenage daughter taking the loft and my husband and I downstairs. You can tell that Sulo and Louise really think about what will make guests feel welcome and what they might need during their stay. We were greeted with a sample of local chocolates and found a little vase of flowers from the garden in the kitchen and bathroom. I was surprised and thrilled to find tea, coffee beans, and even detergent as I'm used to bringing my own. These little touches are greatly appreciated and the other Vrbo's I've stayed at could really learn from this one! Finally, the location was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the hummingbirds and it was just steps to the beach. We fell in love with Chesterman Beach and walked it several times a day. Our original plan to visit Tofino in 2020 to celebrate a milestone anniversary and birthday was derailed by Covid but it was worth the three year wait. We had a wonderful time and hope to return and stay here again!

Seamless, zen, incredible Haidaway

My partner and I absolutely loved the Haidaway. The size of the cottage is spacious for two and has everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. The decor of the cottage adds to the experience - cool, local art, nice plants and simply appointed but quality furnishings. To me, the Haidaway felt a bit magical. Approaching this gorgeous cabin through an Edison bulb-lit foliage tunnel of a pathway; seeing its private, tucked-away location on this grassy knoll — it wouldn’t be a far cry to see it fitting in to a Lord of the Rings film. Okay, the practical stuff: I appreciate the hosts’ balance of letting you know they’re nearby and supportive while being absent and maintaining privacy. The cabin’s preparation demonstrates a thoughtfulness for the visitor—gentle music playing upon arrival, folded towels, robes tucked and ready, thorough instructions awaiting. The location is great - minutes from the beach (by foot) and popular amenities (by car) and a quick drive into the heart of Tofino. The Haidaway will give you (and your party, if you’ve got one) a comfortable and delightful experience of the Clayoquat/Pacific Rim splendour and hospitality. We’ll definitely be staying again! Love the Haidaway!

We have visited Tofino before but this was our first time at the Haidaway Cottage... we thoroughly enjoyed it! Clean, comfortable and very cozy on the rainy days/nights; located literally steps from South Chesterman with great access to other nearby beaches, the MUP, etc. though still secluded and private. One note, the parking spot is a little tight, this was not an issue for us (1/2-ton pickup) but if you have a bigger vehicle, perhaps inquire with the hosts first and/or don't be surprised. Greatly appreciated the garden hose for rinsing surfing gear as well plenty of places to hang things up to dry. Also worth noting, we thought the kitchen was quite well equipped; food in Tofino is very good but can be expensive so it was nice to be able to cook a few simple meals at the cottage. Just two of us so we only used the main floor and not the loft, but the loft looked like a great option for another couple or a few kids. In summary, we really loved this location, it was affordable, and perfect for our needs. Thank-you to Sulo and Louise for providing/maintaining such a great accommodation.

A fantastic cozy, clean cabin nestled in a magical place.

All stress vanished as soon as we walked through the door. The cabin was warm and inviting with soft music playing in the background giving us a sense of peace and relaxation. The hosts had everything covered which made our stay incredible. The outdoor tub was a treat and magical Chesterman Beach was only a short walk away. Thank-you so much Sulo and Louise.

oasis by the ocean

This is our second time staying at the Haidaway, both visits have been amazing. I have a stressful job and a week in the quiet oasis created by Louise and Sulo provided the time away that we needed. From the super comfy bed and conveniences of a full kitchen and cable tv to the lovely Adirondack chairs on the deck in the lush and private garden, its hard not to relax! The outdoor tub and exterior shower for post-surf/swim are very much appreciated. As the cabin is only steps from the beach, we particularly enjoyed our early morning coffee walks or late night beach strolls to catch the sunsets on Chesterman. We will keep returning as long as you will have us!

This is what I call " a little piece of paradise".

We had a super nice stay there. The only negative was that our stay was way too short. This place was very clean, and quiet. It is very private, cozy, zen, hostpitable , beautiful lot with lots of plants and it is less than 2 minutes walk from the best beach around. It is near all amenities one need. Kitchen well stocked with spices, condiments, blender and cute small BBQ outside. The host provided all info and answers we needed very promptly. You have the sun basically all day on various part of the nice deck. Outdoor shower and bath tub. I highly recommend it. I will be back. Thank you.

Absolute gem in paradise!

We chose the Haidaway as an anniversary weekend treat and were NOT disappointed in any way. From all our our vacation rentals over the years, this one is the most complete with supplies, the cleanest, and actually beyond expectations set by the description of the property. Literally across the street from Chesterman Beach, WOW! And so private! Sulo and Louise knew it was a special occasion for us and left a bottle of bubbly and selection of local chocolates to enjoy in the outside, claw foot tub, so thoughtful!! We will be looking forward to returning to this oasis, except for longer next time!

A slice of heaven

Exactly as advertised. Extremely tranquil and a stones throw from Chesterman’s beach to catch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We felt very at home with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, warm outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and easy check in. We only wish our stay was longer.

The Best of Chesterman Beach!

This property is ideal for a couple and older children, or 2 couples. Every detail is attended to- perfect location, pleasant environment. Very close to the beach and the yard is private and sunny, protected. Hummingbird central!!

Sulo: He is the builder, a commercial fisherman by trade, he has caught Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish and Herring all over the West coast. His passion for his old career has translated to his new one and he loves this one even more.

Louise: She is the organizer. A woman of the sea with many talents. Louise skippered a commercial dive boat for 20 years. She has traveled all along Vancouver Island. She has seen many storms that aren't for the faint hearted.
