Peaceful and relaxing

The property is beautiful and in a very quiet neighborhood, boat was safe as ever, right on the water with easy access to multiple ramps, inside the home is beautiful with all the amenities needed. Will definitely stay there again!

The rental was very nice. And clean too. The host Gretchen was amazing when I needed any questions answered she was on top of it. I would definitely recommend renting her house.

Bass tournament

Was a great property for our stay for the NPFL bass tournament. We had five trucks all with boats and had plenty of parking. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in town.

Awesome trip

Had an awesome fishing trip to Santtee. The accommodations was excellent. Plenty of room for multiple boats. Was able to sleep 6 adults easily. Highly recommend this house.

Spring break 2022

We had a great time! The house was clean and had everything we needed! Everything worked! We loved it all, but our favorite thing was the screened porch and boat dock! We sat on the porch alot, ate there, and relaxed. The kids had a blast! The fishing was good! We cooked Catfish stew with the 20 pound catfish that was caught out in the open water! We caught shellcrackers! The owner was very nice and helpful. The house has alot of inspirational Christian decor, which was welcoming to us! Thank you, Gretchen, for allowing us to enjoy our vacation at your nice home! We loved it!

Comfortable Accommodations!

Our party of 6 travelled from KY for some fishing on Lake Marion. The property was perfect for that many because there are 6 beds. The house was clean and neat and had plenty of room for us to relax, cook, eat, and enjoy our stay. The dock access was very nice as well since we kept our boats in the water for a few days. We really enjoyed it! We did have a few questions for Gretchen and she was very prompt in responding and answering them as well as her husband. We opted to purchase an actual coffee pot while we were there as we quickly saw the Keurig wasn't going to cut it for grown men coffee drinkers LOL...no big deal $12 at Walmart and our woes were no more. There were only a couple of things that were not ideal for us but not a big deal overall. The house is on well water and it had a not so great odor that never really left when the water was ran. We purchased bottled water for coffee and drinking. We had 3 trucks and bass boats. The entrance to the front yard with the gate/fence was annoying since we had to block the road and back in each time we returned to the property with our boats. Not a big deal but something you should know if you are pulling a boat and staying here. Of course you could keep you boat in the water all week but that's not really feasible if you are going to fish up the lake as it makes more sense to trailer up there since the lake can be hard to run when the wind is up. Overall, we had an excellent experience and we would definitely come back! Everyone complimented how comfortable the beds were and we were all well rested after long days on the lake. We hope to be back to Santee Cooper Lakes some time in the future!

Ok for fishermen but may not suit their spouses.

This is a nice rental having four bedrooms and large dock was convenient for our bass boats. A few improvements I feel the home needed a better cleaning as there is definitely a dog smell in the downstairs area. Also the water has a strong smell. Luckily we brought bottled water. Master bath shower drain needs to be cleaned out as shower barely drains. These were minor issues for the four fishermen but the our wives may have felt the same.

Nice home with lots to do; swimming, boating, ping pong, kayaking. Bring sunscreen & enjoy the outdoors. Large backyard allows games with the kids & the water facilitates the cool down. Enjoyed friendly the neighbors that allowed us to launch our boat in their yard.

Had fun

The house was full of dog hair, yet, the owner said No animals! My son n law had to clean the floors and under the couches because of all the dust and dog hair, dirty Gatorade bottles and water bottles left under the couch. I don’t know who you pay to clean the house but you need to get your $$ back. The house and “Tiki” shed were wonderful. We really enjoyed our time once we cleaned up a little. Thank you

Yes we do bring our dog to our lake house. Very few rentals allow renters to bring their pets. We have a cleaning service and have never had a complaint before. The empty bottles under the couch were probably left by my children as it is a family lake house. Really surprised to have a complaint about something under the couch. This is a family house that was attempting to allow other families to enjoy time at the lake for a reasonable price. This renter left trash in several rooms, beer cans in the yard and a can full of them in the tiki bar as well as food in the outside fridge. It was clearly stated in the email prior to check-in and on the instructions for check-out that all trash was to be removed when leaving. The cans in the back porch were overflowing and rank upon my return. Very disappointing .

Summer Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay! The house had everything we needed in order to enjoy every minute of our vacation. When we weren't on the water the screened in porch was our favorite place to be whether it was used to eat, play games or just sit and relax. The owners were absolutely wonderful to work with.

This is a beautiful home and was perfect for our needs! We went out for our son's BCT graduation, and this was a great home base for our day trips. The dock & lake were relaxing...our daughter caught her first fish! I would highly recommend it to others heading to SC, and if we ever go back, we'd stay there again. Thank you!

Great home for family reunion

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was equipped with all kinds of entertaining things to do. The lake was great for swimming and boating. We brought kayaks & a fishing boat. We loved the porch for meals & games with the kids. Downside was no phone service but we managed.

Thanksgiving at the Meyer's Lake House

We rented the Meyer's Lake House for our Thanksgiving celebration this year. We could not have had a better house to celebrate in. There was room for everyone, we did not feel over crowded at all, lots of room. The screened in porch was a favorite spot to gather and play games (there was a closet full of board games to pick from). The boat ramp was also used for the boat we had for the many trips that were made out on the lake. Just about everything we needed to make out Thanksgiving dinner was there. The island in the kitchen was great to have for cooking and the bar chairs for others to chat with the cooks. Since the doors to the screened in porch both opened we bought the table outside in so that we all could sit together for dinner. The double tables also made for a great place for all us to decorate our Ginger Bread Houses for the competition we had on FB. If you are looking for a great lake house for your family fun this is the place.
