Somerford lodge in Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.

Somerford lodge consists of an open-plan living area with Smart TV, electric fire, dining seating for four, and kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, and toaster. King-size bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room, and twin with TV, and a bathroom. Enclosed wraparound decking with furniture, barbecue slab (please bring own disposable barbecue and dispose of responsibly), and hot tub (use of hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only). Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included. There is an on-site shop and pub within 0.3 miles. Note: For use of on-site facilities, a complex pass is required, purchased from reception for an additional fee. Visit The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, its regular collection holding portraits by Kendal born George Romney and works by Turner and Ruskin, with other exhibitions through its links with the Tate. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Kendal itself is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, the fascinating Quaker Tapestry, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach, Kendal provides a superb base for a relaxing break.
