This Vrbo was an absolute dream. The home itself is beautiful, with comfortable spaces and a design that frames the most incredible views over the bay and the surrounding countryside. The setting feels very private and peaceful, making it easy to unwind and truly relax.One of the highlights was the wildlife. From the terrace, we watched an amazing variety of birds throughout the day, along with iguanas sunning themselves and monkeys moving through the trees. It felt like staying in the middle of a nature show, but with all the comforts of home.We loved waking up to the bay views each morning and ending the day with a glass of wine surrounded by nothing but the sounds of nature. This place is perfect for anyone looking for beauty, privacy, and a close connection to the local wildlife.Melissa came in the mornings to help clean up and made a wonderful breakfast each morning. She’s a delight. Eric was very accommodating and seems like a caring host. Thanks for an awesome welcome to Costa Rica

Everything from this trip was fantastic. Erick the owner was very easy to communicate with and he set us up with a vacation planner who set us up with golf carts being delivered as well as an unreal chef named Jose. 10/10 I wouldn’t change a thing.

Beautiful property. Nine family members from 2 to 79 enjoyed our time there. Staff very helpful. Very clean. Melissa made us breakfast every morning. Dealing with Eric was a pleasure. So responsive to our questions and needs. Eric recommended Piko travel and we used them for transportation and excursions. WiFi was fine. Pool and view just lovely.

Breathtaking Views

This was the perfect home and the perfect location. We could go all the places we needed to go with our golf carts: Grocery store, restaurants and bars, shopping, and to the beach & Marina. The house was plenty big for our group of eight. The pool was wonderful and the view spectacular. Our first morning there we were greeted by a family of monkeys. We saw the macaws and iguanas every day. I highly recommend this property for your future vacation.

Greatest vacation ever!!

We absolutely loved your home from the start to the finish. The groundskeeper was excellent. The maid made us breakfast every day. They were very delightful. There were eight of us that stayed there and all eight said it’s probably the best vacation they’ve ever been on. They said just so so beautiful and what a wonderful country to visit

Great House with a Great View!

The view from the back of the house is exactly like the pictures - absolutely beautiful! The house was also as described. We spent our days seeing the sites and spent our late afternoon/evenings in the pool/hot tub enjoying the beautiful view. Great house!

Highly Recommend

Eric’s place is magnificent, beautiful surroundings with spectacular views. Melissa & Odon were great & helpful! The place was clean & well maintained. We were a group of 3 families and felt very comfortable with this property, totally recommend to anyone considering spending time in the Los Suenos area. And it was true, we were visited by 10 white faced monkeys, parrots, iguanas, yellow breasted birds, & a tucan 5 minutes before we had to leave! Very enjoyable vacation

Spectacular Views

This house was perfect! Incredible location with stunning views! Short golf cart ride to the marina. Macaws flying over daily, monkeys down the road which the grandkids loved. Iguanas galore and the housekeepers were so nice. Will definitely be back. Los Sueños is our absolute favorite place in Costa Rica! Oh and fishing was epic! Highly recommend staying at Casa Carvajal!

Incredible House with Stunning Views

Beautiful, spacious home with the most incredible views. Our stay was wonderful, the private chef was amazing. The housekeeper made breakfast when we asked. Couldn’t ask for more.

Absolutely amazing!!

We stayed at this beautiful home for a 50th birthday girls trip. I cannot say enough about this house. The location is perfect, the house is just as beautiful (if not more) than the pictures! Odon and Marisa were so sweet and anything we needed they did. They are great. Marisa made us breakfast in the morning before our excursions and it was perfect. I didn't need to communicate very much with the owner because the house had everything we needed. The little communication with Eric was very attentive. The view you cannot put into words. The pool and hot tub with that view is perfection. We saw humpback whales in the cove under the house twice and macaw's flying over every day. We can't wait to come back. Everything was perfect and beautiful.

Incredible Home

This home has extraordinary views, unlike anything we have experienced before. The photos in the listing truly do not do it justice. Absoluletly stunning! The home is very well equipped and Melissa was amazing. If you stock groceries, she will put together an amazing breakfast every day & clean up after. She was delightful. The house is very well laid out & the bathrooms were gorgeous. The pool was beautifully located, but was not truly cleaned, appears it was shocked & chemicals added, but lots of sand & dirt at the bottom. The hot tub was fantastic for evenings when it was a bit cooler. I read previously some guests complained it was not turned on & was extra cost, but that was not our experience. It was actively running when we arrived & we were shown how to turn it on & off, which was a very easy process that we navigated daily without any issues. We did have a couple hiccups with door locks being broken & a family of raccoons subsequently breaking in one evening and rummaging through the trash, but we were able to get them out & the groundskeeper fixed the lock the very next morning. Truly any and all issues we ran in to were immediately rectified, which made them very tolerable. One word to the wise, the private chef offering through Piko Travel was not worth the money & was very poorly executed & the cost of transportation via Piko was exorbitant, even for the shortest of rides. But outside of that it was a fabulous vacation and beautiful experience.

Amazing view

This was our annual family vacation and first time to Costa Rica. We all agreed that it was our best vacation. House was awesome, the view stunning and the greenery was endless. The home owner was always in reach to answer any questions we may have had.

Amazing home!

We loved our stay at Casa Carvajal. Eric, Melissa and Odon make a great team. Melissa made us breakfast every morning and cleaned the house and Odon shopped for us. He also took care of the whole property during our stay. We had a few issues but Odon quickly fixed everything. We loved the pool. We hired Jose the private chef and had delicious dinners made by Jess and Oscar. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you.

Awesome vacation home and service!

We had the best vacation with friends in Costa Rica! The home was beyond incredible. Pictures can't capture everything. Fabulous location, stunning views and wildlife in the backyard (monkey's, iguana's, geckos, macaw's, crabs...). We were so well cared for and felt right at home. I can't recommend this property enough. Can't wait to go back!!!

Paradise

This house was absolutely perfect for our Spring Break getaway. We traveled with 2 families and the layout of the house was perfect for us! Everyone had enough room to spread out and be comfortable. We spent the majority of our time enjoying the views off the back patio and infinity pool. One morning, white-faced monkeys even stopped by to visit. It was a highlight of our stay. Every morning around 6:30am, as I was drinking my coffee, the Macaws would fly over the house. Odon and Melissa took care of our every need we had. The breakfast Melissa prepared for us left us feeling spoiled. Odon shopped for us and would bring home the most amazing fresh papaya and mango. Eric was so easy to work with. He answered all of our questions about the house and we felt like we were at home in his casa. We chose to rent 2 golf carts to explore the community. Each night, we would venture down to the marina for dinner except for the one night that Jose came to cook for us. I highly recommend reaching out to Piko Travel for any of your excursions. Piko took care of everything and we had a driver escort us to all the excursions. Piko Travel made leaving the property a breeze. I will definitely be recommending this home to our friends and can’t wait for the opportunity to bring my family back!

Short but fantastic stay

We had a short but fantastic stay as this beautiful home. Eric and Piko and the whole crew took great care of us to make sure we had everything we needed. The communication was great all around. Piko set us up with chef Jose Piñar who turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. His food was of course delicious but beyond that he was so flexible - making separate meals for the kids, arranging for a special birthday cake to help us celebrate a birthday, made us an adult beverage as a last minute request and was a total pleasure work with and our kids loved him! Highly recommended his services!! The home was very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. You won’t regret staying at this house!

Stunning view - 7 stars on a 5 star rating scale - top notch experience

5 couples / 10 ppl stayed for a week. Communication with Eric to book property smooth and efficient and intros to all travel services turned out impeccable - from airport travel to day trips to Chefs. Most stunning view any of us have seen and we are all seasoned travelers in our 50’s and 60’s. Staff Odon and Melissa made the stay that much more special. Pura Veda

Palatial Paradise!!

Casa Carvajal was everything described and so much more! The photos don't do it justice as the view out back is stunning! We spent every morning having coffee on the patio and every afternoon have cocktails in the infinity pool soaking up the view! Eric the owner was a delight to work with and answered all my questions promptly. And Piko Travel handled and booked all our tours for us. He made suggestions and did a fabulous job! Everyone of his drivers were on time and so very courteous. Odon is the gardener and was happy to get whatever we needed at the grocery. And Melisa prepared the best Costa Rican breakfast with the food Odon purchased for us. We were so spoiled and felt like royalty! All my friends now want to go after seeing my photos on Facebook. We will definitely return. Pura Vida!!

We are The Carvajals. Eric, Jennifer, Rose, Eric Jr. and Tovah originally from Texas. My father was born in Costa Rica and at a young age I was able to become a Costa Rican Citizen. My 3 children have also obtained their citizenship and we spend time back and forth between Texas and Costa Rica. We have owned various vacation rentals through the years in the US but this one in Costa Rica is by far our favorite and we love sharing our little slice of paradise with travelers from around the world. We are active owners, constantly working to make the property better for our guests and we work hard to provide a 5-star experience to everyone that visits. Thank you for considering our home!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Faro Escondido might be the most exclusive beach area in Costa Rica owned primarily by Ticos. The view here is absolutely incredible and the amount of wildlife that we see regularly is mind blowing. The neighborhood is private and very secure which we love being that we are a young family with small children. There is so much to do very close by but the pool and view make it hard to want to leave the house.
