Perfect for 2

This was the perfect place for the 2 of us to relax for a week. Enjoyed the privacy and our own little pool. Plenty of space for a few couples or a small family if they wanted to stay together. Would definitely recommend

Close to everything

We had an amazing stay and the hosts were amazing, had a WIFI glitch but it was our teens fault they accidentally shut it off, but Sarah got back to us immediately on how to fix it. House is beautiful and may look small from the outside, but three bedroom two bath, plenty of room for two teenage girls and their moms. Clean and beautiful, kitchen had everything we needed and the beach accessories were an added bonus. Highly recommend and will most likely book again. Everything on Siesta Key was no more than a 15 minute drive. Thanks for a memorable trip!!!

The house was clean and as one would expect given the description.

The reason we didn’t have a great stay is due to the questionable electrical system. The power was not adequate for the size of the house and the power demands. The lights flicker constantly. IPads and phones take forever to charge. When the microwave is on every light dims. The garbage disposal hestotates to kick on as if it’s not getting enough juice. When the fridge clicks on the lights dim again. Every lamp flickers. This cannot be safe. This should be addressed. The dishwasher was full of water and we did not use it or the disposal. There were many active wasp nests. We bought spray and eliminated some bats as my wife is allergic. These things should be addressed. If they were - the place would be fine.

I'm just seeing this as a review now. As soon as Jill informed us of what was happening we called FPL. The electrical issue has nothing to do with our home, but was with an FPL wire that needed to be replaced. FPL came out the next day and it was replaced. We haven't had any issues with electrical moving forward. I'm sorry this happened during your stay, I'm sure it was frustrating. Regarding the bats - I ever seen a bat on the property. The property is very well maintained, with lawn and pest control etc. If a bat flew by... their "cave" or tree is definitely not on our property. Sincerely - An electrically sound, Bat free space

Not worth the price.

Guest bed is so very extremely uncomfortable. We seen in photos that the pool looked small, but we didn't realize just how small the pool was until we arrived for our vacation. There is a pool robot vac that is attached to a hose that stays in the pool making for less room in a very small pool and quite annoying while trying to enjoy the pool. The home needs larger pots and pans. What is there is good enough for cooking for 2 maybe 3 people. Could use better cooking utensils as well. No basting brush for the grill, also no utensils for the grill. No steak knives at all. The kitchen faucet is difficult to use and is a little loose. The yard is in desperate need of grass seed or sod. It has approx 60% grass coverage. Alot of bare muddy spots throughout the entire yard. Our 2 white dogs were very dirty every time they went out we had to hose them down. The AC in the mid morning to late afternoon does not keep whole house cool. Main areas are rather warm. The front room and living room need fans. Other than that we managed to enjoy our vacation and we visited 5 different beaches close by.

Terribly disappointing!

Upon first entering the home it's perfectly ok, albeit overpriced. For that price, I was expecting finer touches like quality linens and bedding, better furniture, and appliances that weren't cheap. I stayed with my grown children and nephew (a state trooper) to celebrate mom's 90th, who lives nearby. We were out of the house visiting her most of the day(s). We all got a good laugh when (15 minutes before checkout) the owner sent a message, stating that she expected us to strip all beds, and wash the towels / bedding ourselves. I've traveled to more than 60 countries in my life... I had never heard of anything so preposterous, anywhere! It's called a cleaning fee for a reason. We stayed on a cloudy / rainy weekend and, although only using the tiny little pool a few times, the owner sent a note days later, accusing us of causing a hole in the bottom of her very old pool. And that she would be sending me the repair bill ( btw, owner insisted we purchase an insurance policy before checking in, to cover possible damages. I gladly bought the policy). I sent a response letting her know how insane her claim was and asked what kind of scam she was attempting... and it remains what I still suspect. My advice to ownership is to build a new pool, a real pool. The property is plenty big enough! This owner has serious issues... beware! Sadly, it turned out to be the only negative part of what was, otherwise, a beautiful celebratory family weekend.

Lovely home in quiet neighborhood

Nice property; had all the basic needs for family vacation. Private fenced in yard, pool, although on the smaller size, allowed for lounging and quick dips. Quiet neighborhood with nearby walking trail. Good location close to shopping, restaurants, beaches. Furniture could use an update & mattress in primary bedroom. Would have preferred more comfortable outdoor furniture; regular size table & chairs as opposed to high-top as well as lounge chairs by the pool.

Very clean and cute house!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. We appreciated how clean the house was when we arrived and there was plenty of sleeping space. The only struggle we had was finding enough seating together when we wanted to hang out in the living room at the same time, but you can easily move chairs next to the couch. The house location is nice too because we were really close to grocery stores and nice restaurants. Would come back!

The only reason we gave the overall rating 4 stars was because the House wasn’t cleaned at check in time even though I had called and emailed the owner earlier in the day. At check in time I called again. The owner apologized and offered gift cards for local restaurants but we had already eaten. The owner said she would be right over but I never seen her. The cleaning lady came about 30 minutes later. She was very nice. It took about 3 hrs for her to clean the house. We were exhausted and wanted to sleep so I told her I would finish the laundry just so we could get into the house. It wasn’t so bad though because we were able to nap by the pool in beautiful weather while the house was being cleaned. I do have to say that the rest of our experience was absolutely amazing. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The house was perfectly located. There were 5 adults that stayed and we all agreed that we would have given 5 stars except that it wasn’t that it wasn’t initially cleaned but that was resolved as quickly as possible. Mistakes do happen but I must say I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Sarasota again

A lovely property in a great location close to all amenities

The house was clean and as per the photographs but was a bit tricky to find as there are 3 streets with the same name! It provided an excellent location for entertaining and generally chilling out. The owner is very easy to deal with and we would certainly think of going back.

Local Sarasota's who were able to rent out our first home (The Cozy Cottage) and purchase a larger home for a growing family of 5.
We live 5 minutes away and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
