We normally get reviews on "what a great location", "close to everything we wanted to do", "near great restaurants", and all that it true, but a deep felt THANK YOU, for commending our hard working housekeeping krewes. They take pride in all the hard work they do to keep this 176 year old building, in good shape and the detailed work they perform to make the condo feel clean, well kept and welcoming to each guest. It really is such a large space, and to be a two story, with one bedroom and full bath upstairs and one bedroom and full bathroom downstairs, along with the main living spaces. We have addressed them playing music and found the speaker for that business at the edge of your window. Street noise is not always avoidable in downtown New Orleans. We are happy you thought the location and presentation of the condo was great. We truly cannot express what a wonderful location this is for all there is to do in New Orleans, and nothing is ever a walk too far. The host has been incredible! She has kept in touch throughout the whole trip. She gave us ideas on places to go and things to do, which were completely AMAZING! She hooked us up with tickets for a Mardi Gras parade. She introduced us to so many experiences that we would not have necessarily been about to have experienced in our own, coming into a place we don't already have connections. We will definitely keep in touch with Barbara and book again!

Awe, thanks Michelle and family for the 5 Star Review! I so enjoy having never been to New Orleans visitors. Everybody knows Bourbon St. and all that, but I want you to explore more that is commonplace when here. Be a local, eat where we eat, not always the tourist restaurants, or those that require reservations and a dress code. Sometimes those hole in the wall, Mom & Pop places will get you that authentic Cajun or Creole flavors, seasonings and spices you want to try. But, if you want the fine dining, French, Italian, Greek, you name it we have it here. Although you were here for work, I am so glad you called to let us know you wanted to outrun that dangerous ice / snowstorm and arrive a couple of days early, ecstatic that we could help with that dilemma. If you have never been to New Orleans during Carnival season, there is no way of trying to explain it. You DO have to experience it for yourself before you can decide; Mardi Gras, you either love it or hate it. At least you were here of the more calmer, family friendly, first weekend of rolling parades. We would love to host you again, whenever you are ready to VacayNOLA!

Sure wish you would have called at the time there was loud music coming from the speakers on the sidewalk. We could have made a couple of calls, even at 2 AM. Those pictures were very helpful to send to maintenance for them to see the glass shower door guard needed to be replaced and some missing caulking. Highly communicative and informative host. The property was even more spacious than in the photos. Perfect location, just enough off the Quarter to avoid the noise and bustle, but close enough for an easy walk after hours! And always easy to get a taxi or Uber all around the city, not to mention convenient to the trolley for some lovely touring. Rent without fear!

We cannot emphasize what a perfect location The Picayune Building is to all of downtown New Orleans activities, attractions, and restaurants, from fine dining, to iconic to a few Mom & Pop, hole in the wall places. Sounds like Barbara gave you the information overload of things to do, see & go. Thanks for understanding that we had no control over the internet fiber optic lines that were severed by nearby construction on the street. Rarely do we loose power or internet, even during storms, because all of our utilities are underground. Although we were told the service would be back by 6 AM Friday, early this morning, we got another notification that it would be today, Monday by noon, we'll see :( When you decide you want to make another visit, we would be honored to be your Host. The location was perfect. The condo was nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed. My one complaint would be the second bedroom was upstairs and it was on the same air unit, so stayed very warm compared to downstairs. Hard to sleep in that space.

Since we are in our condos, a minimum of weekly, we know how warn that upstairs bedroom can be, one of the reasons we offer to change you, when we have the availability. Other than that, sounds your family had a wonderful time in New Orleans. We cannot express what a perfect location The Picayune Building is to all there is to go, do, see and eat while here. Thank you Lynn and friends for the 5 Star Review. We cannot express enough what a prefect location The Picayune Building is to all there is to do, see and eat in downtown New Orleans. We are a great walkable city. Once you realize it was the original newspaper building, it all makes sense, it had to be centrally located to get those breaking news events and stories of surrounding neighborhoods, back to be typeset , printed and sold by the news boys on the streets. We know that we have a very special and detail orientated housekeeping team that keeps this 175 year old building in the best condition it can be, for it's age. Glad you thought the arrival and departure instructions were easy to understand and follow. We don't ask you to strip beds or wash the bedlinens or thick terrycloth towels, as all of our laundry is sent out to a commercial laundry service to be washed, sanitized and dried, coming back fresh and folded for each new arriving guest. We do ask simply to; load and start the dishwasher with provided dishwashing tablets, and take the trash out, so we keep odors and pest at a minimum. Great location, accommodations, and communication

Our stay was fantastic! It's nice and quiet, and just a short walk away from the French Quarter. Our host was excellent with communication as well. Would stay here again.

Awesome Stay

We had such a wonderful time. The rental was nice and clean, convenient to everything and Barbara was wonderful helping with all our NOLA questions. We will definitely stay there again!!!

We appreciate your patience on the early check in, as it takes quite a bit of work to get all the glitter, sequins, feathers and friendship beads cleaned up after a Taylor Swift concert and have the condo sparkle in a clean way. Thank you Joe for the 5 Star Review of The Picayune Building, the 1850's built home to the Daily Picayune Newspaper, later the Times - Picayune, until 1969, when daily printing and journalism moved to a new location. Understanding that this was the newspaper office and printing, it had to be centrally located to all there is and was to see, go, do, and eat while in New Orleans. Downtown New Orleans is not vehicle dependent and feets are the best mode of transportation there is, and oif you are venturing a bit further away from the French Quarter, Central Business District, Riverfront, Arts & Warehouse District, Marigny or Bywater areas, then you can ride the iconic streetcars. Ride share services are plentiful as well. Great condo, perfect location!

Condo is large, clean, and well appointed. Communication was helpful and clear. Location is perfect for doing things and getting around easily. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Thank you Dennis for the 5 Star Review. This really is the best location in all of downtown New Orleans. When you realize it used to be the newspaper offices and printing building for the "The Picayune" later changed to "Times - Picayune Newspaper" the location makes sense, had to be centrally located for all of the areas of New Orleans, so the reporters could get back to the building with the latest scoops. Built in the 1850's and occupied until 1969, the building is is really good shape to be 175 years old. Our detail orientated housekeeping krewes keep is clean and well stocked for each guests. Not many vacation rentals leave you laundry detergents, fabric softener sheets, extra trash bags and dishwasher tablets, in addition to a few bags of our French Market Coffee for you to enjoy as soon as you get here, but we know how scrumptious our foods are and most seem to have a red gravy, cream sauce, Au Jus, and can be a bit messy, so no reason to keep those food stains on your clothes until you get back home. So glad you braved our craziness during Mardi Gras, it should be on everyone's Bucket List of experiences. Yes, please make a return visit and let your friends know that when in New Orleans, it's time to VacayNOLA!
