Lovely 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage within easy walking distance of Trader Joe's, BART, and downtown shops and restaurants is a perfect tranquil setting to come home to, after exploring all the sights that the Bay Area has to offer.
Built in 2018, this beautiful cottage has new appliances including washer/dryer. It's located on a quiet sunny lot near a creek, and has off street parking. Clean lines, and uncluttered living space are paired with all the essentials needed for cooking a meal at home. TV, WiFi, and internet are included. Enjoy the outdoors on the private shaded patio.

Upon arriving, we sent our host, Elly, a text to let her know we had landed. And we also immediately said that "we loved it" and then asked if "we could just stay forever." I think that says it all! The cottage is a peaceful, off-street hideaway with parking right near its doorstep on a cobble driveway. There are food service and shops within a 4 block walk and we took full advantage of that convenience.

One of my favorite things...

This is our second time staying at the Cozy Cottage and it's definitely one of my favorite places to stay! The easy access to downtown and the Lafayette Reservoir are two highlights. The cottage is immaculate and well-stocked. It's comfortable and easy to settle into. Elly is a wonderful host.

Great Stay in Lafayette

We have stayed in many Vrbos and this wonderful cottage was the very best we have ever experienced. We can’t wait to return for another visit. In addition to being in a wonderful wooded setting, it is convenient to downtown Lafayette. Our host has thought of everything to make our stay extremely comfortable providing coffee, snacks and spices for cooking. We were greeted with flora bouquets and there were plants throughout the cottage. It really was such a special place. Mahalo, Gail & Alla

The Best Place!

We were visiting a family and friends and this cozy cottage was the most delightful home-away-from-home! It was super clean, supplied everyday amenities, and washer/dryer. I enjoyed sipping my Philz Iced Mint Mojito and reading my book on the back patio. I highly recommend this location and look forward to booking again soon! Cheers!

Lovely warm cottage

This place is a gem. Wonderful location, comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen and perfect bed for a good night’s sleep. Amazingly quiet and perfectly clean. Elly is a terrific hostess! I highly recommend it, conveniently located for transport around the Bay Area!

Wonderful Grad weekend

Perfect spot for my daughter and I to stay for my nephews graduation in Lafayette. Clean, quiet, cute and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Loved the side patio area for morning coffee. Would stay again.

Cutest cottage ever!

At the end of a private road, beneath a giant California oak, this retreat is a gem! Clean, comfortable and well-equipped, we especially enjoyed the patio with the scents of lavender and honeysuckle. Thank you Elly for sharing your little slice of paradise.

Cozy and convenient

Cozy and enough for two. Enjoyed the easy walk to Trader Joe’s and cooking in the home kitchen. A fantastic treat was watching birds in the garden and nibbling at the feeders. This 1-bedroom is thoughtfully assembled for comfort and low environmental impact.

wonderful little cottage!

Great place, location - perfect, quiet & beautiful surrounding. Fully equipped with nice appliances. Unfortunately - couldn't access the key in the lockbox, which almost left me without a place to stay! (Pet sitter did manage to get the box open for me.) And, the hair dryer didn't last on the "high" setting -wet hair...

Clean, comfortable and cozy

This cottage was exactly what I expected and needed. Spent two nights here and the host was very responsive and helpful. I arrived at midnight, and she was proactive and kind enough to make my check-in very smooth. Upon entering the front door, I was greeted with clear instructions on the table along with a bowl of healthy snacks – which felt like home right away. I worked during the day jumping on zoom call, and the wi-fi signal was weak at times, but completely tolerable. I would stay here, again!

Excellent Property

Our stay was wonderful! The cottage was clean and efficiently outfitted with everything that met our needs. This is a great place to stay for 2 people. I would suggest a hand rail in the bath/shower and a bath mat in the tub. I had trouble with the lock box for the key but those things do not affect the 5 star rating! I hope to return!
