We immediately felt at home. So cosy, clean, comfortable and convenient. Stylish interior. Warm and welcoming. No mosquito around. We'll come back in the autumn.

Perfect home base for exploring

We were two couples from US exploring the Cotswolds for a week. Loved location for daily trips. The home was beautifully styled and comfortable. A few knocked heads on all the low beams but we soon got used to ducking. Beds were very comfortable En suite bath needed more lighting and an outlet for hair dryer. Compared to the secondary room and bath, the main bedroom was lacking in amenities for getting ready For a long stay (for us, 8 nights) I would recommend providing more towels upon arrival. More were delivered two days after request - thanks Imogene. We appreciated the local magazines and books to help us acclimate and the welcome basket was very much appreciated

Highly recommended

We can highly recommend Angel’s Folly. It’s a beautifully designed ‘home from home’, with everything that you need to truly enjoy and make the most of your stay. The house is immaculately clean and peaceful and is the perfect base for exploring all the Cotswolds has to offer.

Only for tiny people

I know, it is an old house and therefore it has very low ceilings. You have to be aware that in this house you always will have to keep your head down. Also a major point of criticism are the stairs which lead up to the bedrooms (so you can't avoid them) - there is no handrail, only a loose rope which is of no use on this steep staircase. The mattress in the smaller bedroom is quite hard and bumpy. And the whole house is flooded by decoration objects which block all the space you would need to place your own things. Perhaps one can reduce the decoration objects and put a handrail and a new mattress in and do a better isolation for in the bedrooms (upstairs) you hear a lot of noise from the road.

As you note, the property has low ceilings and period features typical of a cottage of its age, all of which are clearly shown in the property's photography and 3D virtual tour to help guests decide whether it suits their preferences before booking. We appreciate your observations regarding the mattress, décor and road noise. These aspects can be very personal and subjective, and what one guest finds comfortable or appealing may differ from another's experience. Many guests particularly enjoy the cottage's unique character and eclectic styling, while others may prefer a more contemporary property. Not suitable for older visitors

Angels` Folly has wonderfully modern fittings and furnishings. I feel a mention should be made in its description though that it is not really suitable for older guests. We are fit 70 year olds, but found the stairs very difficult and dangerous. A fixed handrail instead of a rope is definitely needed. Plus a grip handle at the top of stairs. Also great care must be taken walking outside because of the amount of steps.
