History buffs will enjoy Herstmonceux Castle (8.5 miles), while coastal aficionados will enjoy Eastbourne's seaside resort and Sovereign Harbour (5 miles). For a fun day out, The Observatory Science Centre (10 miles) offers interactive exhibits, telescope tours, shows and stargazing evenings.
