Situated in a charming spot outside the picturesque village of Paul, this spacious, fresh and elegant family house was built for a local merchant in 1868. Stylishly updated to provide beautiful accommodation for up to twelve guests, the property is half a mile from the coastal village of Mousehole, and makes a fabulous base for larger families and groups of friends seeking an idyllic base for exploring the furthest reaches of West Cornwall. Within easy reach of Land’s End and the Lizard Peninsula, this stunning residence is a perfect destination for a family celebration or reunion, with splendid panoramic views, ornate fireplaces, beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, two pianos, a large mature garden with a pond and orchard, and a heated indoor swimming pool.
The property has two pretty lounges, each with bay windows, a piano and beautiful fireplaces, perfect for unwinding in at the end of a memorable day. At the heart of the house is the spacious and characterful kitchen/diner, with a large central dining table and comfortable seating, providing a magnificent spot for preparing and enjoying a celebratory family meal together. The ground floor also features a smaller lounge which doubles as a playroom and leads through to the heated indoor swimming pool. The first floor offers two refreshing bathrooms and seven colourful, elegantly decorated bedrooms with a mixture of features including bay windows, useful washbasins and wooden flooring: there are two twin rooms, a bunk bedroom, two singles, a double and a king-size room with an in-room electric shower. Outside, the beautiful grounds include a charming garden with outdoor furniture, an orchard and a delightful pond.
Penzance, St Ives and Land’s End are all within 11 miles, with local attractions including St Michael’s Mount, Trewidden Garden, Tanglewood Wild Garden and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, all within 8 miles.
