A magnificent country abode set in 7 acres of glorious gardens, this luxurious and characterful retreat encompasses everything you will need for a group stay in Oxfordshire. Sleeping 14 guests across seven bedrooms, it comes with so many leisure facilities that you might never step off site! Those seeking to explore the quintessentially English surroundings will find themselves just 10 miles from the fringes of the Cotswolds National Landscape, with its fabulous walking trails and world-famous stone villages. Head into colourful Lechlade (7.5 miles) or bustling Faringdon (2.5 miles) to stock up on groceries or sit down to a meal in an Oxfordshire pub. Visit the National Trust’s 13th-century Great Coxwell Barn (4 miles). Plan a day trip into Oxford (21.5 miles) to uncover the colleges and go punting on the River Thames.
Enter the main house via the central hallway to find accommodation that marries a true sense of its history with exceptional modern-day comfort. Here you will find a series of spectacular spaces for spending quality time together and perhaps celebrating that special occasion. Amble through to the gorgeous, light-filled family room, which opens onto the garden and flows into the kitchen, where you’ll find everything needed for cooking up group feasts. Nearby is a handy boot room with a WC. Walk on through to the elegant dining room that further opens onto the drawing room, where you can sit down to your lavish meals or relax and bask beside the roaring open fire. There is also a study with garden doors in this wing of the house – perfect for quiet moments. To the other side of the reception hall are two more sitting rooms, a utility room and an extra-convenient kitchenette. At the end of each busy day away, retire to a choice of seven restful bedrooms, five of which are situated in the main house all of which offer exceptional comfort and individual character: choose from three super-king size bedrooms, one single room that adjoins the master suite, one king size and one double bedroom. Ensuring convenience and privacy for all, five well-appointed bathrooms serve the household: four en-suite bathrooms and one en-suite shower rooms, plus a separate WC. There are two further bedrooms situated above the pool house set within the eaves, these are perfect for older children wanting to make the most of the games room and gym, one king-size and one twin both with en-suites.
Wander out into the gorgeous gardens and grounds at every opportunity. Swim in the pool during the mid to high season and relax in the pool house beside it. There is also an entertainment space with a Smart TV, and cinema projector, kitchenette, gym and games room. Head over to the sauna to unwind in its heat, then sip a cold drink at the outdoor dining area. Play tennis on the all-season court or sharpen your skills on the pitching course. Choose between a magnificent selection of corners for al fresco dining, socialising and simply soaking up the scenery. Rounding off this impressive home is ample private parking.
