This gorgeous riverside escape is brimming with storybook charm, creating a wonderful base for a getaway in historic Canterbury with friends or family. The three-bed retreat is around 2 miles from the centre of town, with the River Stour flowing just below the deck and countryside paths right on the doorstep. Take peaceful riverside wanders or sip a leisurely coffee overlooking the water. Canterbury’s irresistible blend of culture, history and dining awaits, from its world-famous cathedral and atmospheric medieval lanes to a fantastic choice of restaurants, bars and independent shops. For adventures further afield, jump on a train at Canterbury West train station (3 miles) for easy links to the Kent Coast. Walkers and cyclists will adore the wide, open landscapes of the Kent Downs National Landscape (4 miles). Iconic attractions such as the White Cliffs of Dover (17.5 miles) and Leeds Castle (21 miles) are wonderful options.
