Well-appointed, cozy, great location

Susie and Sarah's house is clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a week's stay. It was very conveniently located to stores in North Creek and Gore, plus Sarah was very communicative. Highly recommend!

North Creek Gem

Our family had a great stay at this spacious and comfortable retreat. We loved the front porch and side yard. Will definitely come here again!

Ski Weekend

This house is even better in person. The renovations are beautiful and the charm of the house makes the stay very cozy. Easiest check out process and the house was very clean. Comfy beds too! Proximity to town and the mountain is fantastic. We look forward to staying here again sometime! Julie

240 Main Street North Creek NY

This vacation home was great - so cozy. The kitchen was fully supplied, and plenty of seating for meals. We love the town of North Creek, and the location made it very convenient. I think we will be back during ski season at Gore. We loved the front porch, and spent lots of time there. There was easy communication with the owners!

Nice place - Great Location

We wanted a place where we could walk to restaurants and bars for our family ski vacation and that is exactly what we got. Restaurants and bars were a short walk down the road, as was the grocery store and liquor store as well. Gore Mountain was very close too. The house was clean and well stocked with all we needed to make our trip an enjoyable one. The communication with the owner was really good and we had a great time. We would happily stay here again.

Perfect accommodations

This property was perfect for 4 girlfriends looking to do a mid-week get-away this winter. Short drive from the house to Gore Mtn. Nice time walking/shopping in the village of North Creek. Accommodations allowed for separate bedrooms for each of us. Living area is very well arranged and comfortable. Owners are very responsive. Highly recommend.

Visiting Family over Thanksgiving week

The property suited us well. 6 adults and an infant visiting family in North Creek over the holiday. The location could not have been more perfect for us. All rooms were as advertised. All areas were clean, including both bathrooms. Driveway was small and limited to (2) vehicles I can foresee as a problem during winter months. Sarah was responsive when communicating via the VRBO app. Check-in and check-out processed were both easy.

Gore ski trip

Excellent location for Gore Mountain. Walking distance to shops on Main St, North Creek. The driveway is steep, but there was a bag of snowmelt for us to use and we had no problems. There were humidifiers in the bedrooms. Knowing how dry North Creek is, that was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and comfortable! Great place for a weekend away!

We had a fantastic long weekend here! Adorable little house that has everything you need for a weekend away. They really thought of everything! We wound up having 4 adults and 4 teens and had plenty of space to sleep and hang out. The ski slopes at Gore are literally 5 minutes away which made it easy to let the early birds go earlier and let others take a little more time waking up. Check in/out couldn’t have been easier. Host communication was great. House was spotless when we arrived. Linens/towels are included and good quality. The beds were comfortable and 2 bathrooms with showers was exactly what we needed. The bunk room is more of a walk through area between the upstairs bedrooms- so not a ton of privacy - but it was really no issue for the 2 teen boys who shared it. The three bedrooms were all very comfortable and they have luggage racks to put your bags on in each room. The kitchen has everything you need to make a home cooked meal and the dishwasher made clean up easy. Appliances are all fairly new and in good working order. Washer/drier was also great to have after a slushy day on the slopes. We’ll definitely be looking to stay here again! Both house and host were fabulous!

Clean, comfortable and convenient

This is our second time staying in this house and we love it! The house is very comfortable and cozy and it is right in the middle of a fantastic, funky old town with a hipster vibe . Every room is so clean and the process for booking, closing up, etc is super easy and convenient. The host is also very responsive and accommodating.

Cozy and clean home in cute mountain town

We absolutely loved this property! It was clean, cozy and very comfortable. Our favorite part was the spacious downstairs room that included kitchen, dining room and family room. It is perfect for relaxing with friends and family. All of the equipment and appliances were easy to operate and the processes for renting, garbage, leaving, etc were efficient and simple. Finally, the host was very responsive, flexible and gracious.

Ski trip to Gore

Property was clean and well maintained and met all our needs. I got stuffy nose from old pillows but 2 other adult travelers had no complaints. Allergy pill on second night helped. 2 full bathrooms in excellent condition well stocked with soft clean towels. Full kitchen and dinning room with all basic condiments. Very well stocked with with pans, cutting boards, chef knives, dishes, mugs, glasses and wine glasses. New quiet dishwasher made cleanups convenient. Everything we needed to prepare healthy meals for 3 adults. Access to second floor is via steep circular staircase which can be challenging for some but OK for us. Taller adults need to watch their head going down (could use a strip of carpet on top floor edge to cushion). Second floor is accessible from front door (split level design) so you have an option for conveniently bringing in luggage. We only had light bags and kept all our ski gear on ground floor. Entrance had plenty of hooks for hanging jackets and a convenient wood bench of changing boots. Well thought out to meet all the needs of skiers. There were not many dining options in North Creek so we purchased groceries close by (Tops Supermarket and Liquor store 1/2 mile away) and cooked all our meals for 3 adults. This worked out great after hard days on the slopes. Eat in kitchen counter was perfect for early breakfast and coffee maker including filters was a very considerate touch. Location is under 10 minutes from Gore mountain main lodge and was ideal for getting early starts on our 3 day ski trip. The owners are very responsive and accommodating to all our requests. Cable TV with wifi and NetFlicks preloaded was a nice feature. 3 separate full bedrooms afforded sleeping privacy for 3 adult men so ideal for our group. There is an open bunk room with additional beds which would work for larger group or children. I would happily return to this house on next time we visit Gore.

Ski Trip to Gore

Just perfect

We loved our stay at 240 Main Street. The house is very comfortable. Our group of 7 had plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. The house is outfitted with everything you could need. Very clean. Less than 5 min. to Gore Mtn ski area, on a cute street with shops and a grocery store - very well located. Would definitely recommend. One point, you do walk through the bunk room to access two bedrooms -just something to be aware of. Our kids were sleeping there so it was no problem for us, and the kids loved the 3-high bunk bed! It's much bigger than it looks in the outside photo because the whole bottom floor is a walkout that can't be seen from the front of the house - you actually enter on the side down below.

We are long time outdoor enthusiasts from the area. The home has been in the family for 25+ years and in the past year we have made several improvements. Our family and friends particularly enjoy our home's close proximity to downtown North Creek and neighboring Gore Mountain, as well as being located in the Adirondack Park.
