Charming home in best location!

Highly recommend booking this home for your Cape Charles visit. This is a charming historic home with lots of character. Only a short walking distance to the beach (even faster with a golf cart!), it has everything we needed for our week stay. We enjoyed particularly enjoyed the wide front porch, the outdoor shower, the provided beach chairs/umbrellas, and the large living room. The owner was extremely responsive to all my questions leading up to the trip and while we were there. This home is truly a gem.

Perfect location. Close to the beach and Mason St. Very well equipped home that also has tons of beach chairs and toys. Very nicely set for small kids. Even had two pack and plays so we didn’t have to pack them. Jennifer was great at communicating. I’d definitely recommend.

Great Cape Charles House

We really enjoyed our stay in this home! We were there with family and this home was perfectly located to enjoy both the Beach and Main Street in Cape Charles. Beach was super easy walking distance away. The kids enjoyed staying together in the bunk room!

Cape C Family Beach Trip

Perfect location for a week getaway. Walking or using a golf cart - both good options. Had some issues with front door and refrigerator but owner was very responsive and took care of problems. Kitchen well-equipped and ample linens. House needs some tlc and updated thorough cleaning. Grill and outdoor shower great. Beach equipment needs replacing. Still good week away.

Great week in Cape Charles

Just returned from a great week in Cape Charles. House was terrific Location was great. Listing is accurate although some photos (kitchen and living room) make space look smaller than reality. Owners were great with communication, friendly and helpful throughout. Beach is clean with calm, shallow water. Great for small children but older kids may get bored. No bike rentals in the area but a great area for biking if you bring your own.

Sweet Beach Town

My husband, daughter, son in law and 20 month old grandson spent the week in Cape Charles in the “Southern living” home. The house fit our family perfectly. The decor was light and airy. We were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness and much needed maintenance issues that need to be dealt with. Jennifer was always quick to respond. It has lots of potential! Location is great.

Roomy Home in a Wonderful Location

This is a beautiful old home with lots of character in a great location! We loved that the beach is about 2 blocks away, and the park with a playground is only one block away. It's also located within walking distance to delicious restaurants and cute shops (about 4-5 blocks). The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is large, and the dining and living rooms have plenty of space for gathering and for playing with all the toys and games this house provides. The front porch was a highlight with a lovely view of the flowering Crepe Myrtles lining the center of the street. The outdoor shower was great for washing off sand, and the back laundry room was a perfect additional space for beach bags and shoes. We had a fantastic time - perfect home for my family of six plus my parents!

Great location, amenities

Great place to spend a week in Cape Charles. Great location! Three blocks from the beach and all the shops/restaurants, you don't have to get into your car all week. Amenities! All the amenities make packing for the trip a breeze. The shed is stocked with a wagon, toys, floats, and chairs, bike, scooters, an umbrella stroller, and a tent (only missing a beach umbrella, if that's your thing). Inside, the kitchen has all the tools/utensils (even toddler-sized utensils). Lots of bath towels too. The upstairs has 2 pack-n-plays. Only downside: The outdoor shower door was removed (assuming the salt-water in the air rusted the hardware).

Family Vacation

Our recent stay at this home was wonderful! We were traveling with 2 children (ages 3 & 7) and were blown away by all that was included. In addition to the two game tables and gear that's pictured, the house was loaded with games, books, toys, and lots of outdoor items for the kids. The shed was packed with everything needed for the beach, and there was an abundance of towels and linens etc. inside. The location can't be beat. We could easily walk to both the beach and park with the children. The bedrooms in the home were spacious and comfortable, and sound was never an issue. The clawfoot tub/shower upstairs was difficult to maneuver, especially for the older folks in our group...but the shower downstairs was good for all. We look forward to future stays in this home for sure!

Perfect House in Cape Charles

Our family was looking to go somewhere different for our annual vacation week and stumbled across Cape Charles. We loved the small town feel, but it still had plenty for us to do. The kids loved the beach since you could walk out a hundred yards and still stand. They also enjoyed the golf cart rides for ice cream or just cruising around town. The golf carts seemed to be the main way to get around. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. From tons of games to beach supplies. It was close to the beach and the main street where the shops are located. All walking distance. There isn’t much you need to bring with everything being provided including towels and bed linens. We loved sitting out on the big front porch! The owner, Jennifer, could not have been more helpful. She was very responsive and made everything extremely easy from check in to checkout. Unfortunately the upstairs air conditioner broke the second night and Jennifer immediately called someone to come take a look. She kept us updated over the next few days on the status and was very apologetic. We told her it wasn’t her fault, but she still bought us a very generous gift card to the Cape Charles Brewery for the trouble. We definitely recommend this house!

Great house for families with kids!

Perfect location - between the park and the beach, close to downtown (shaved ice and Brown Dog Ice Cream)! Jennifer was very responsive, easy check-in and out. The house has lots of amenities for kids - games, books, bikes, wagon and beach stuff! Made for an easy and enjoyable family get together with grandkids!!!!

Hot week in CC

Location was great - so close to the beach and a quick walk to the shops. I loved the historic charm this house had from the moldings, door casings, staircase and floors. We have a few rentals on the east coast and just wanted to give just a few suggestions. It felt kind of dark in the house. I tried to open the curtains but they wouldn't slide on the rods they are on. The vinyl shades are either ripped or do not roll up/down anymore. The beds are very noisy especially the one in the bedroom in the front bedroom. The one thing missing from the kitchen is a blender :-) Not sure if we just couldn't find them but we did not have grilling utensils. Thank you for a great week in your home.

Centrally located on a tree lined street and sidewalks for strolling- entertainment in all directions. One block to the park, playground, splash pad and tennis courts. Two blocks to the beach. Three blocks to shopping/retail/restaurant section of town.

Our house lets you be a busy as you want to be - do it all or do nothing at all.
