Bellamente renovado Mountaintop Lodge con Bluff View

Estamos en lo alto de la meseta de Cumberland, y nuestro refugio de montaña tiene vistas a una bella zona de faroles. Con una amplia vista desde el comedor y la sala de estar, así como la suite principal, es fácil olvidarse del mundo que se encuentra a continuación y centrarse en la familia, la relajación y el tiempo alejado de todo. Bienvenido a la cima de la montaña!

El lodge está cerca de Sewanee / University of the South, South Cumberland State Park, Mountain Goat Trail, excelentes vistas, senderismo, cataratas, festivales locales y pueblos, además de estar a 10 millas de la interestatal y se encuentra entre Nashville y Chattanooga.

If I were devious, I would lowball my review on this property so I would always have it open whenever we wanted to visit the area in the future. But, Ben and Tori are such great hosts that I can't do that to them (and I wouldn't, anyway). We stayed at this property this past weekend to return to Sewanee for my wife's college reunion. The house was more than enough of an attraction on its own. We were two couples and three singles, and the house easily accommodated all of our needs. The kitchen is modern and up to date, and the decor inside is clever, comfortable, and attractive. While the house is definitely in the country, it's less than 5 minutes from Monteagle and no more than 15 from Sewanee, which made it a very convenient home base for us. And the best part is the view, overlooking Fiery Gizzard State Park. While misty and rainy weather (not unusual forthe area for late October) kept us from taking full advantage of the outside (especially the fire pit), That's something to look forward to next time. And there will be a next time.

Great location! Check in/out and communication was great with the hosts. Enjoyed learning the history of the home as well. The views and privacy were wonderful. We appreciated the stocked kitchen and gas grill to easily make meals at the house. Location to various hiking spots, parks, and The Caverns was perfect.

Absolutely beautiful view, even from the master bed! Very clean and very comfortable home which made a wonderful base to explore the state park from. Nearby day hiking was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Favorite things: comfortable bed (we had been in a hotel the 3 nights before and slept terribly, so comfortable bed was very important, lol); rooftop deck facing the GORGEOUS view; firefly show in the evening.Looking for a great restaurant? Try High Point. High priced, but definitely worth the treat.

THAT VIEW!!!

Everything went smoothly with check-in. The place is stunning! Inside, outside, the view, the deck views! The furniture was very comfortable. They know people like to bring their own devices to connect to the TVs. They have accessible HDMI ports and power nearby. Check out was simple as can be, none of the extra work as you are packing like taking out the trash or stripping the beds. As a recent convert to The Caverns, I will be returning and always checking if this spot is available!

We highly recommend this rental! The home was clean & comfortable. Communication with Ben was excellent & very responsive. It was an easy drive into Monteagle. We’ll definitely look into renting with Ben if our travels bring us back to the area!

A beautiful place to stay after a hard day’s work

Co-hosts were friendly and polite. The house was a clean and comfortable. View was spectacular, especially from the rooftop deck. I would recommend this property to family and friends. The big backyard was private, literally at the end of the road.Did I mention the view… Seeing the photos on line from the vantage point of Bluff House overlooking over the valley, is what drove my decision to stay there. It was better in real life. Just what my weary soul needed.

Bluff House paradise

This is a beautiful property with an unbeatable view/location. The house is immaculate and equipped with anything we could need. Tori greeted us most graciously and shared stories of the history of the house and of the area. WiFi is great. Kitchen has top of the line appliances. All in all a great stay. We surely hope to come back.

Tennessee getaway

We spent a long weekend at the Bluff House in April. Had a great time. Great views and a short drive to the Caverns along beautiful country roads.Found some fantastic trails to hike and some very good restaurants in the surrounding communities. The communication with Ben and Tori was fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Quiet, relaxing stay

This beautiful home made our stay in Tennesee so comfortable and relaxing. The house is much larger and more beautiful than the pictures show. Tori is a lovely hostess. Would love to visit again.

Incredible Views

The Bluff House was amazing! I cannot imagine a more beautiful view from right outside the master bedroom window. The area is quiet except for the relaxing sound of a waterfall nearby. We saw lots of deer, had everything we needed in town and had a great time. Thanks!

Stunning view for a quiet weekend getaway.

My brother and I purchased our mom tickets to a Christmas concert in the Caverns and found this gem when planning the trip. The Caverns were only a quick 15 minute drive so it seemed like a perfect fit. We flew into Knoxville and enjoyed the scenic 2.5 hour drive down to Pelham and were ecstatic once we arrived. The hosts met us at the property to explain everything at check-in and couldn't have been more hospitable. We arrived around 9pm and were blown away that you could see EVERY star in the sky. The house was cozy and quant and perfect for what we needed. In the morning we woke to an absolutely breathtaking view. I will certainly book this property again for another concert and hopefully be able to make it for when the leaves change. This property is a 10/10 in my eyes!

Quiet and Magestic

My friends and I loved this property. We were in Tennessee for my birthday and for a few shows at the Caverns. It was lovely to have a quiet and beautiful place to rest and relax between activities each day. We took advantage of the fire pit as well enjoying the evenings by the fire. The sunsets and sunrises were beautiful.

Bluff House get-away

Our two night stay at Bluff House was just wonderful; we all enjoyed it so much. Tori met us at check-in and gave us the tour and explained how everything worked. The house was very clean, and unlike some rentals I've stayed at, very comfortably furnished. The bluff view was spectacular, particularly from the rooftop deck, and we enjoyed the firepit. All in all, our stay at Bluff House exceeded our expectations and we plan on coming back next fall!

Bluff House Magic

We were badly in need of a four-night getaway, and the Bluff House was exactly made to order! This was our second stay at this property, and once again we were dazzled by the incredible view, and by the privacy. Saw several deer multiple times, and had a visit by a pileated woodpecker. This place is so perfect in every way, and hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful! Highly recommend!

Amazing place!

The Bluff House checked all of the boxes for us! Amazing view, fantastic appointments, everything we could possibly have wanted to have available. The privacy, the view, the huge upper deck, and the immaculate details of the home itself. Of all of the VRBO and rental properties we've stayed at, this was the finest for our needs. Hated to leave, and immediately scheduled a return trip for this fall~! Highly recommend! The owner met us at the property, gave us the home's (amazing!) history, and made us feel right at home immediately. Great people, with a great rental property! Can't wait to go back in October!

This property has been in our family since it was built in the mid-70s. We have taken the time and effort to renovate it right. With barn wood walls in the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and master bedroom, the travertine, hardwood, and tile flooring, and a million dollar view, it was a sure fit to allow others a place to enjoy like our family has over the decades. We hope you enjoy this lodge as much as we have enjoyed putting ourselves into it.

We like to check-in all our guests personally. This allows for any questions to be answered and to provide all the information we can about the lodge. You are required to text us your ETA and when you arrive at the interstate exit so we can meet you at the property for check-in. If other accommodations are needed, you will need to make those known prior to arrival, as well.
