Great location

This apartment is in a great location. It looks better in the pictures, had an unpleasant smell, fixed by burning a candle. No ironing board & iron but this was rectified by the manager within 2 days. Air conditioner noisy. Limited TV channels. Too expensive for what was offered but a great location

Misleading and not well set up

Great street and neighborhood. Pretty, if a little rundown (not like in the pics) apartment. The bedroom is so small you have to slide your body past the end of it to get to the closet (and sadly bang your shin on the bed frame every time). The photos do not show that the bed ends at the wall. Only one side of the bed had a reading lamp. The kitchen, while a part of the living room, had no light in it and stays pretty dark. The bathroom was fine except the lighting was bad and there was hardly anywhere to put one's stuff. Most of all, the air conditioner was very old and very loud - one couldn't have much of a conversation or watch TV if it was on. Communication was not speedy with the owner but we did make contact we asked if we could get out of our agreement (we were to stay there over two weeks) and they said they could only let us go after a week. They said they would put in a new air conditioner and lamps. Unfortunately they never did it. If this apartment was less expensive we might have been cool with some of these things but it was way too much money to be annoyed but this stuff.

Fantastic Greenwich Village Condo

The was one of the best visits we've ever had in NYC and the one of the reasons why was the condo unit we stayed in. It was fabulous! The unit was nicely furnished and located in a fantastic area of SOHO. A CVS, an Italian market, and many other shops and restaurants were located within 2-3 blocks. Joseph, Rebecca, and Paula were more than helpful and gracious throughout the process of procuring the unit, moving in, and leaving. The whole process was fluid and efficient. I cannot say enough good things about this condo. We will be back!!

Live like a very lucky New Yorker

We stayed 5 weeks during a renovation of our apartment uptown. This is a perfect apartment in the best neighborhood in NY. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen small but has everything, and the bathroom is new with a great shower and tub. The high ceilings and grand windows look out onto a charming street, where there are many wonderful restaurants and shops. It's a short walk to Union Sq. on 14th Street, where you can take a subway to anywhere in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Also, there is a fantastic green market, and park. Whole Foods on 14th Street for food shopping and take-out. The apartment is a short walk to Washington Square, NYU, and a short walk to the West Village with amazing stores and restaurants. This apartment has the perfect location and is in the safest neighborhood. You'll love exploring the city from here. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Rebecca and her staff were helpful and friendly in every way.

Exceeded my expectations

Theres nothing better than getting something better than how you thought it would be. This place left me speechless i really thought it was too good to be true. I absolutely loved it and it was clean and the service with the people was simple and not complicated! Would recommend!

It truly was a lovely surprise

My husband surprised me with a vacation to new York. My jaw dropped when I saw where we were staying. I loved this place so much it was a fabulous experience and according to my husband it was actually very simple to get and we didn't have any complications. He said that he will always get apartments from this same owner whenever he surprises me again! (that will be soon im hoping) !!!

Im a Big fan of this apt

My stay was very nice. It had everything i needed and i didnt go out my way to buy anything. Me and my husband loved this location and thank god he found this place because it was perfect ! We loved how quiet and comfortable it was and the people were really friendly. I have no complains and I will be back soon !

Great experience

We had family staying in all three properties in this building and it was perfect for our needs. The apartment is just as it looks in the photos. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the sheets and towels were of high quality. The location was great. We were travelling with small children and loved the proximity to shops, parks and the subway. A real New York experience. The owners and property manager are friendly and easy to deal with. This was my first experience with homeaway and it was a very positive one. Highly recommend.

Like you're living in NY

My mom and my daughter (9 months) stayed here in June for five days. The apartment was perfectly located for everything. We walked almost everywhere, were less than 10 minutes from Union Square, surrounded by amazing restaurants, and truly felt like we were seasoned New Yorkers. The apartment itself was lovely and clean with lots and lots of space to spread out. Small bedroom, but still enough room to set up our portable crib. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to feel like you're part of a neighbourhood. The owner was extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive when we needed her. Thanks for a terrific stay!

Live like a New Yorker

The apt looks exactly like the photos. Kitchen and fixtures/appliances are, or at least look new. Nice bar counter top provided the eating area, which worked out great for the two of us.The kitchen area is small, really only room for 1 cooking, but it works well for the apt. Everything was very clean, especially the bathroom, tile in the tub is great and the bathroom fixtures look new. Open floorplan, very high ceilings and giant windows provided a lot of light and really made the apt feel larger, really alot of space for New York. Not sure if the iPOD docking station will always be there, but it was a frequently used plus for us. Adequate supplies were provided. Hardwood floors were lovely. Bedroom is basic, comfortable, and you have to scoot past the bed to get to the closet, but I didn't mind as you get TWO closets in the apt, great plus, and iron/board provided. I loved that the windows had huge wood shutters, providing an authentic architectural feel as they looked original, and also could be closed to help block out the light and noise early in the morning (there was construction going on in the street, but it made us laugh the morning the jackhammer woke us both up at 7 am, really felt like we were in New York!). Actually very quiet street in general and we felt very safe. The location is perfect as it makes you feel like you are living in New York with the residents, however only a couple short blocks to Broadway/subway station to the left (if you are walking out the front door). Walk one short block to the right to 5th ave, then you can walk south on 5th ave one block and you are in Washington Square Park, GREAT for sitting and just being with the people, bring a picnic. Popular place for artists/musicians, especially with NYU right there. One more short block and you are in the heart of the Bleecker St area, tons of restaurants and shops. You can walk around there and end up in SoHo or the West Village . It is a walkup apt. The owners are very nice, casual and provided a list of local favorites and close markets. I really think the only missing component to this apt, for us at least, was a rooftop deck. To get this great apartment, including the experience of living like New Yorkers, for less than the cost of a hotel was a perfect way to go.
