Espléndida villa medieval con vistas a Todi

Ubicada a pocos kilómetros de Todi, la famosa ciudad medieval, Torre del Mago es una espléndida residencia de campo en una posición montañosa dominante, reconstruida con las piedras originales sobre los antiguos cimientos de una torre de vigilancia medieval.

Hoy, la Torre del Mago ofrece la oportunidad para que los visitantes que aman la historia, la naturaleza y el mundo real pasen estancias inolvidables también porque la belleza y la magia del lugar se han mantenido exactamente como fueron .....

La estructura consta de dos niveles, cada uno de los cuales corresponde a un apartamento independiente, y una pequeña casa de huéspedes conectada al resto de la casa por un arco antiguo que actúa como una ventana entre dos valles.

. En el porche de los alrededores, puede almorzar y disfrutar de la paz y la relajación absoluta en la espléndida campiña de Umbría, disfrutando de una espléndida vista de Todi.
El jardín parece una espléndida terraza natural con panoramas casi mágicos, en los que se ha creado una cómoda piscina cerca del bosque.

1 habitación doble y 1 habitación doble con baño compartido con ducha.
Primer piso: (acceso por escaleras externas) Comedor con cocina americana, 1 baño con ducha, una pequeña sala de estar y un entrepiso con una cama doble. Pequeño porche con mesa de desayuno.

We loved everything about this place! our host Gian, was great! We were a group of 10, mostly young adults and two teens. Gian was able to provide 2 extra small beds, so we could have all the girls together in one room. That worked out really well. I really wish we could have stayed longer and that the weather was nicer. Our stay was in January of 2026. One great plus was the fireplace!

Wow! The spectacular view at sunset, the serene location, the large deep pool, the soft comfortable beds and bedrooms, the air con, the host were all absolutely fantastic. 8 of us for a week in 36c heat and it was stunning. We had a terrific time exploring the local area and wider region. Gian (host) you did a great job. We look forward to coming back soon.

A great sized property with all the facilities that you need. Massive landscape gardens with a good sized pool and vegetable plot. The views were amazing. Air conditioning in all rooms which was a great asset. The host, Gian, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Because of his knowledge, we attended local festivals and we had a reasonably priced chef come in and cook for us, which was more of an experience than just being catered for as we were all able to get involved. Gian kindly accompanied us to the lovely town of Todi and after took us to an authentic restaurant and where we enjoyed a lovely Italian meal. A car is needed but it is well worth a visit and we hope to return. Thank you Gian for making this a special holiday for us.

Beautiful Villa

What a trip! Gian (the host) was extremely helpful, our luggage was left behind at a different airport, Gian was extremely understanding about our delay and even arranged some food for us! He was always available to call and made our stay fantastic. The villa itself was stunning, lovely panoramic views of the area and very private without being in the middle of nowhere. The house was split into various apartments however we only used the bottom floor, which was more than enough. The kitchen was better than our own, everything was beautifully furnished and comfortable (especially the pool!). The garden was huge with lots of seating area, lawn etc and we never had any issues. Thank you so much for a wonderful time Gian!

Beyond our expectations

Everything about this villa is exceptional…great location, beautiful views, fantastic host, so much to see & do or just stay at the villa & enjoy the pool. Gian’s recommendations for restaurants, wineries & experiences were all amazing. Todi, Orvieto & Montefalco were highlights for our group. We even loved our almost daily visits to the nearby supermarket :) Gian went above & beyond to make our stay a memorable experience. I would thoroughly recommend his villa ; some of us even hope to return.

Umbrian tranquility

A really lovely villa that was well equipped in a beautiful location with unspoilt views. The air con was a lovely edition during the hot nights. Great area for exploring the rest of Umbria..Todi, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, all worth a visit. Would definitely recommend.

Hase Family Sibling Reunion

We were 7 adults all over 50 years old. There were ample bedrooms and baths. We used the villa primarily as a base to get out and see Umbria, e.g., Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Montefalco, Orvieto. The villa is much too nice just to be used as a base, it has great views on a large, beautiful property with many sitting and lying possibilities. Gian is the best host possible, always ready to assist, advise, recommend, AND available. A great place and a wonderful host.

Fairytale Stay

Absolutely gorgeous property which had us feeling like we were in a fairytale. I’m surprised the birds and squirrels didn’t come in and help me make my bed each day. The views are stunning and the peaceful surroundings are so relaxing. We had chefs for breakfast and dinner - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Gian is helpful and knowledgeable and really puts effort into making sure the stay and the home are top notch. Thank you, Gian! We are just driving away and I miss it already.

My friends kept thinking we were just sending them pictures of postcards and not actual photos of Gian's Villa! The beauty and architecture was only outdone by the peaceful and picturesque beauty of living atop an Umbrian Villa for the week. There was plenty of room for all six of us and even used another spare bedroom as a temporary office. The beautiful kitchen was fully stocked and afforded us some wonderful space and amenities to have our daughter and daughter-in-law hone their Italian cooking skills a couple evenings during our stay. There was also a vegetable garden near the East side of the drive and although he said the growing season had passed, we were still able to harvest some of the freshest tomatoes, peppers and eggplant nearly every afternoon. There were ample lawn chairs in the yard for each of us to sit together as a family and enjoy apertivo and sunsets every single night. I'll always cherish my early mornings sitting atop the intimate little table and chairs Gian has set at the top of the outdoor stairway leading up to the loft. If you can't discover a next-level relaxation and peace from here the very first morning of your trip, it's a sign you probably need to extend your stay!

Siblings Get Together

This was a sibling w/spouses get together. We spent a week at the place. Very comfortable with rooms as promised;3 in the main floor with one upstairs and on separated from the house. Had all that you needed. Had porch off main living area for dining and couches for relaxing. Shoppping in town was 6 minutes away. Host was excellent very welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again. Host provided his contact info and responded quickly to our questions. Rated as 5 star would rate higher if possible both for host and property.

Our experience at the villa exceeded our expectations and was the best experience we have ever had with VRBO. We were a group of seven, gathered to combine the pleasures of Umbria with the chance to work on our writing The outdoor area offered sweeping views in every direction with several distinct areas to read, write, relax, reflect. We used all of them throughout the week seeking the elusive writing muse. The house allowed everyone to have time and space separate from the group as well as spaces to comfortably hold writing workshops, relaxed conversations and shared meals at the large table. Food was an important part of the experience for all of us, enhanced by the harvest from the garden and the delights from Chef Daniel, from whom we had one delicious served dinner and one cooking lesson where we all participated in preparing ricotta ravioli and tagliatelle with pancetta. Saving the best for last, our stay was enriched by Gian. Yes, he immediately resolved the minor issues that arose from so many people in a large house, but more than being responsive, Gian genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time in the villa and gave us recommendations for the best butcher, cheese shop, restaurants, places to get coffee as well as guiding us on long walks through the countryside. If we are ever so fortunate as to return to the villa, the greatest pleasure will be to see Gian again.

The perfect location for a truly memorable vacation...

The ideal location in Umbria with glorious views in every direction. Spectacular villa, inside and out and all was even better than described on the website. The property is surrounded by flowers and the scent of jasmine. Our host, Gian, could not have been more helpful or enjoyable. His personal attention to all details was invaluable. Upon our arrival he had a bottle of wine waiting for us as well as a list of nearby restaurants, all of which were exceptional. He truly helped to make this THE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT VACATION!!! Whether we spent the day sightseeing or just relaxing by the pool, everything was extraordinary. The only thing we could have asked for was a longer stay there. Cannot wait to return.

Amazing stay in the country side

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. It was very hot during our stay, but this was no problem because the house and the surroundings was so beautiful. The host was extremely helpful with information and suggestions on what to see and do, during our stay. We have never met such an engaged host. The view from the house and the pool was spectacular, with the real feel of the Italian country side. Even the last part of the road was dirt road, so don't bring your Ferrari :-). We were 9 people, two families and only adults. The house were perfect for that. Very spacious and good rooms for everybody. There are a lot of nice things and gorgeous towns in the area if you don't want to spend all the time in the pool. Thanks a lot Gian from all 9 of us for a fantastic stay.

Stellar place, but really made perfect by the host

A lot has been said above already. All I can say is that I can vouch for all of it. The house itself is excellent and affords everyone in a large group (we were 9) a little of their own space. The location - smack dab in the middle of Umbria and less than an hour to most hill towns - is ideal. But what really makes this stand out is Gian - he clearly really loves having guests and bends over backwards to ensure you have a great stay and experience all that Umbria has to offer. I have stayed in many rental houses but have never had such a hands-on guide like Gian. Agroturismo should be paying him because he makes his own olive oil, knows all the grapes, and can speak to the history and must-sees of all of Umbria. Excellent, Gian, thanks!

A magical, wonderful villa!

How can we say enough about this wonderful property and amazing host? For my husband and myself, it was our second stay at Gian's house, and we wanted to share the experience with friends. It did not disappoint! The three couples each had a very private area of the house with one couple in the master suite, one upstairs with their kitchenette, and the other in the pool house. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed making breakfasts and dinners several nights (including some homemade pasta) while enjoying our evenings on the patio and around the pool. Gian is so welcoming to his guests, joining us for the Onion Festival in a nearby town and taking us to a favorite restaurant at the top of the mountain. He also helped us book a wine tour and private chef at the house. Don't miss out on this fantastic way to experience Umbria and all of the beauty and history of the area!

Marvelous!

Our extended family of 8 enjoyed a wonderful two weeks at Torre del Mago. It was truly magical. The house was very comfortable, clean and worked well for a group. The grounds are spacious and private, with indescribably beautiful panoramic views, and the large pool is refreshing on a hot summer day. The location is central to the Heart of Italy - Umbria - with easy day trips to Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto and even Siena. The less renowned hilltop towns nearby are even better because you won't be sharing them with a horde of fellow tourists. Todi has many excellent restaurants, some with spectacular views. And Monte Castello di Vibio is a tiny jewel. But best of all was our host, Gian. He is warm, gregarious and gracious. He had great tips on places to go, things to do and we shared some very fun times with him. He goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and made a wonderful vacation truly special.

A JEWEL NEAR TODI!

Very little places can compare to "Torre del Mago". My husband and I stayed for a week in this truly magical place and came back home with nothing but amazing memories! Its convenient location allowed us to fully enjoy unforgettable day trips to neighboring cities and also left us in the middle of the country side when we just wanted to stay in and completely relax. It is surrounded by beautiful nature! This is what I personally liked the most... the fact that just walking around the block was unique and gorgeous! In the house, everything is very well kept and clean, it has great amenities and the rooms spacious and very tastefully decorated. The highlight of the trip? Gian! he truly made us feel like at home (or better) and even taught us how to make pizza! such great hospitality. We really hope to come back in the near future. Best vacation in a long time! Fabulous Find in Umbria

We just completed the most idyllic stay at this spectacular property near Todi. The views are stunning in every direction. The house itself is so comfortable for families, friends, or couples. The bedrooms are spacious and separated, allowing privacy for all guests, but there are lots of gathering spots inside and outside to hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped and more, lending itself to creating wonderful group meals. One night we had Daniele, a private chef, come and cook a marvelous meal, teaching us along the way. Even in October, we were able to take divine swims in the large and perfectly situated pool! Best of all, as others have said, is the owner himself…Gian Cappelli. He made our trip very special from beginning to end, providing easy and quick communication during the booking process, and wonderful suggestions for meals and activities. He even accompanied us on a wild ride to a mountaintop restaurant that served excellent local cuisine in a warm and wonderful environment. We had a terrific week and highly recommend this property. If you have the opportunity, just do it!

Amazing Home. Amazing Host

We have stayed in many homes through Vrbo, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. The location is perfect if you want to explore the Umbria region. But this house is so great we could stayed and cooked and enjoyed ourselves just as much. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we were able to prepare a nice big dinner for all of us. Gian, the host could not have been more accommodating. He met us in town for the initial drive to the villa, which is tricky, but once you get there you can pin it on Maps. The villa is high, and overlooks the Umbrian countryside. The view is fantastic. The house is very clean and slept seven of us more than comfortably. Gian brought us wood for the fireplace and made sure we were stocked up. He is very easy to reach and responds almost immediately. We honestly hated to leave and we vowed to come back for a month next time. If you’re driving a bigger vehicle, the drive to the villa can be intimidating the first time. But is is very doable. I had a seven passenger van, and we were fine. I cannot say enough about Gian, the host. He is warm and friendly, funny and helpful. He even show us how to find wild asparagus. This is the best home we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be back

Words cannot describe our time in Umbria at this villa!

The villa is beautiful. We had three couples, but the property could handle five couples. The views are stunning. The best part of our stay was our experience with the host Gian. Gian provided us with an exceptional introduction to Umbria. His homegrown knowledge was generously provided and very helpful. He was as genuine and caring as a host could possibly be. His passion for the Umbria countryside, his villa, his friends and food was contagious! He was always willing to help, but was never intrusive. Gian invited us for a tasting at his winery coop where we found excellent white and red wines, and he shared his delicious olive oil with us. He arranged restaurant reservations including a fabulous place on a mountaintop. We would never have found this restaurant on our own. He recommended tours, local festivals, sites to see and villages to visit. One particular highlight was the cooking class with Marta and Gian. What fun! We have wonderful memories of this evening. This was our first visit to Umbria, but it won’t be our last. And we will come back to this villa. Thank you Gian!

Gian war ein sehr guter Gastgeber, immer da wenn man ihn brauchte und es war ihm wichtig, das es uns rundum gut geht.Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt.

Großartige Villa in herrlicher Lage. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Großer Pool. Fantastische Aussicht. Gastgeber Gian ist überaus hilfsbereit,weit über das übliche Maß hinaus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und planen wieder zu kommen. Auch das Kochen mit Chef hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ein- und Auschecken absolut unkompliziert. Eins der besten Häuser die wir je hatten.

Wir hatten gemeinsam mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern mit Partnerinnen und Kleinkind und Geschwistern einen wunderbaren Familienaufenthalt. Die Villa ist hierfür hervorragend ausgestattet. Unser Gastgeber Gian war jederzeit ansprechbar und hat viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge und gute einheimische Lokale, sowie für aktuelle Veranstaltungen in der näheren Umgebung gemacht. Im sehr geschmackvoll angelegten Garten und im und am Pool haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Betten waren bequem und die Badezimmer sauber und gepflegt. Sogar ein Gemüsebeet zur Nutzung der Villabesucher stand zur Verfügung.Die Villa steht auf einem Hügel und bietet einen Rundumblick auf die herrliche weite Landschaft Umbriens. Alle unsere Mitreisenden waren begeistert.
