Cabaña acogedora Colores de otoño, ATV y senderos para motos de nieve abundan

Bienvenido a nuestro lago en Island Lake en Barnes, Wisconsin. Island Lake tiene aproximadamente 60 acres y aproximadamente 50 pies de profundidad. El lago es lo suficientemente grande como para esquiar y hacer tubing, pero lo suficientemente pequeño como para que no tenga tráfico pesado de botes. Un paseo muy suave hacia el lago conduce a una playa de entrada cero con arena de azúcar y agua cristalina.

La cabaña es muy limpia y acogedora con todas las comodidades del hogar. Cuenta con 3 niveles con una cama queen, una cama individual y medio baño en la planta superior, una cama queen en el piso principal y un baño completo, y una habitación en la planta baja con dos camas individuales, un sofá cama y un tercer baño completo. Hay un futón adicional que se extiende a un colchón para dormir y espacio para un colchón de aire. Perfect getaway!

This was the absolute perfect place for us to bring our 7-person family group together. The property was absolutely beautiful and pristine. The location is perfect, and while we left occasionally to visit nearby family, there were more than enough activities available at the cabin to keep everybody happy and occupied. The communication from the property owner was amazing! Aside from the information listed on the VRBO listing, there was detailed information inside the home so nothing was a mystery. Mike also checked in on us to make sure that there was nothing else we needed, making our stay absolutely perfect. Great fishing, too! An added bonus for our family was that the neighbors have dogs and we got to interact with them outside. We can’t wait to come back!

Relaxation and Family Fun

We enjoyed many campfires by the lake. Wonderful seating areas by the fire pit and beach . It was so nice to have a good selection of family board games and yard games. Such a peaceful location! The kids loved using the kayaks that were supplied! Beautiful clear water and sandy beach area were great for swimming and jumping off dock. Would definitely come back for another relaxing get away! This cabin fit our two families comfortably and had everything we needed!

Excellent property with great owners

Mike and Jenny have an amazing property in a great, quiet location. Mike answered my million questions before our trip with no hesitation and communication before and during our stay was answered quickly. We spent 3 nights at their cabin with our 3 pre-teen and teen boys and found the cabin to be a great size for us all to space out when needed. The paddle boat and kayaks were a huge hit with our kids, as was the fire pit located right next to the lake. For the most part, the cabin came with everything we thought we would need. A few things I would suggest, but didn't make our stay any less enjoyable, would be tongs and a can opener for the kitchen. We searched for both and couldn't find either. We made do with what we could find though and it all worked out great! Mike and Jenny have amazing neighbors on both sides, both whom have dogs that were very nice! The Welhavens(they are the neighbors to the right if you are looking at the lake from the cabin) have three dogs (Tucker, Remy and Sassy) and Tucker would come visit us whenever we were outside. Our 12 year old, who is an animal lover, absolutely enjoyed him! Reid Welhaven came over and introduced himself and and let us know about the dogs shortly after we arrived, and gave us some great ideas of things to do in the area and places to check out, which came in handy! We are already considering booking Mike and Jennys cabin for next summer!

Perfect Family Friendly Northwoods Cabin

This was our families second time at the cabin. It was the perfect location for our families to get away to the had all of the amenities that we needed. Great fishing, perfect beach front for our little ones to go swimming, great dock, great outdoor space! I’m really thankful for the owners of this perfect little getaway. It really did have everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and we would love to come back.

Perfect Northwoods Getaway

Four of us spent a long weekend here for my moms 69th birthday. It was a perfect spot to relax, do a little fishing, and it was a great starting point for adventures to Pattison State Park, Amnicon Falls State Park, and Superior. The owners responded quickly when I had a question before our arrival and the neighbors were friendly and gave great suggestions for things to do or places to eat when we ventured out. We are dog lovers and enjoyed the visits from the neighbors dogs but the neighbors did emphasize that if we were bothered by the dogs to let them know so they could keep them from visiting. As all of my group has dogs it made the experience more homey and enjoyable for us.

Cozy and peaceful Retreat

I recently stayed at this charming cabin for a weekend getaway, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect. The interior is cozy, with comfortable living area, a well-equipped kitchen, The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring the nearby trails. The hosts were also fantastic, providing clear instructions and being available for any questions we had. Overall, this cabin is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of a daily life.

We had the best time staying at this cabin in Barnes! There is plenty of space to spread out and the place has everything you need! The hosts were amazing at getting back to us and making sure we had everything we needed! Loved our stay and would defintely come back to stay here again!

Beautiful spot and awesome cabin. Wonderful neighbors that will bend over backwards to help you. The cabin was super clean everything was comfortable. Beautiful deck awesome fire pit. We began hosting via VRBO in 2018 and have enjoyed sharing the northwoods experience with countless visitors since. From 2006 through 2016 we rented via VRBO from the same owners every year and always appreciated their willingness to share their cabin and provide our two young daughters an opportunity they would not otherwise have had. When we decided to purchase a cabin in 2017, sharing the experience (or "giving back") was always part of our plan. We truly enjoy trying to be as communicative and supportive as the host-family we worked with was for us.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We chose the Barnes area for a number of reasons. The primarily sandy soil results in many pine trees (we love the smell), limits mosquitos, and we found a spring-fed lake with crystal clear water.
We chose the cabin for a variety of reasons as well. It has the older "cabin" feel, faces primarily south (long sun), and has a gentle slope to the water, which we will particularly appreciate as we get older.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our property is ideal for families with children for the reasons shared. It isn't for everyone, however. The steps in the cabin are rather steep. An addition was added to the cabin that results in steps going to and from the living and kitchen areas.
The location is very ideal as there are numerous restaurants nearby, we are less than 1/2 mile from snowmobile trails, a short distance to places like Hayward, Ashland, and Duluth. Yet, while at the cabin, one feels like they are truly in northwoods.
