Sumérjase en la naturaleza o explore las ciudades costeras de Lunenburg y la bahía de Mahone, a menos de media hora de distancia.

This place is even nicer than the photos! The kitchen is well stocked, with lovely dishes and also lots of extras. The lake is perfect for swimming, and the two docks provide views of amazing sunsets. So many thoughtful details inside. We had a perfect stay!

Had a beautiful week at the cottage. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Lots of open space for four adults. Enjoyed sitting on the docks and soaking up the peacefulness of the lake. Chris, our host, was easy to reach for any questions we had.

Wonderful Stay in Barss Corner

We had a fantastic stay at Chris’ property in Barss Corner. The pictures looked great - the property was even better than the pictures suggest! Chris met us at check-in to show us all of the properties amenities, and he was extremely responsive to any questions that we had during our stay. The main dock (there are 2) was elevated overlooking picturesque Sherwood Lake which allowed for beautiful sunsets, and the water was great for swimming. We highly recommend this property!

Gorgeous place

The online pictures do not do this place justice. It is beautiful and looks like it was decorated by an artist. Multiple thoughtful touches to make your stay a 5 star experience. We really enjoyed our stay and thank the host very much.

Enjoyed a great week in lovely cottage.

The location, lake, house and weather were all perfect. We enjoyed a fabulous week in the sun playing in the lake and surrounding areas. The only negative, which is beyond the owners control is the long gravel track / road you have to use to get to and from the property, gets quite annoying to use all week.

Beautiful Sherbrooke Lakehouse

We enjoyed our lovely Lake house and found everything we needed to make our stay easy. We relaxed and went swimming on the lake that had a dock, and also the cove, which was down a short path across the street. The lake house maybe off the main road a few minutes but is well worth the time. Chris was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

The loveliest lake house!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage on the lake. Everything you could have wanted, from kitchen essentials to plenty of beach towels, was provided. And the extra special fun touches, like a record player and a tabletop pool set, made for great memories! The water was lovely, and the deep water dock meant our kids spent hours jumping in, over and over. The sandy beach down the path is a beautiful spot, and is a perfect swimming spot for younger kids. We were treated to a few gorgeous sunsets, and the dock was a favorite spot for morning coffee and a book. We did some day trips, among them to Halifax and Lunenburg. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! We hope to return!

Lovely well appointed Lake House

This property is just about perfect. The house is lovely with lake views from just about every window. It has a very well appointed kitchen, and you'll find everything you could possibly need throughout the house. We especially appreciated thoughtful items like milk and eggs on our arrival. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the lake access areas (dock and platform) are perfect for enjoying the lake. Communication with Meghan was easy and always timely. The only downside was the time it took to get to the property. It is a 20 min drive from the highway, of which the last 4 miles is a dirt road, some of which was quite bumpy. This impacted our desire to explore the local area. In general, it was an exceptionally lovely property and a great getaway for myself and my husband!

Peace and Quiet

The Cove Cottage is located on a quiet lake. The cottage is surrounded by wilderness but is only 30 minutes from Mahone Bay. Chris and Meghan have thought of everything. The kitchen is well equipped, the furnishings and décor are comfortable and well designed.

Hidden gem!

An excellent place to recharge after a busy day, so quiet and peaceful. Very spacious, well stocked with everything you could need, and comfortable. Beds were great, check-in smooth, and owners very responsive. Nice little area to swim and catch the sunsets. Nearby Mahone Bay has excellent restaurants, fuel, groceries as well. 100% would stay here again!

A week to relax

Everything was perfect from the communication before check in to the day we headed out. Unbelievable location with a stunning deck and docks. The water was perfect and everyone was in it constantly. Great kayaking and canoeing as well. We could not think of anything that the place needed. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided and great quality to what we have seen at other places. Thank you Chris and Meghan!

Relax, swim, fish and more....

Fantastic property, location and lake! Amazing house, very clean, good bed linens, well appointed kitchen (including milk and eggs (thanks). So much space to chill and relax, very private. Take the short ‘pickle path’ to the lake and be wowed by the view, it’s stunning!! We enjoyed lots of kayaking, the cove is nice and calm. Water very warm for swimming and great fishing. Morning coffee on the dock is a must. We needed for nothing, it’s just the most perfect spot. We can’t wait to return!

Fall magic on Sherbrooke Lake

We had such a lovely stay in this cottage. Hosts were helpful. Listing was as advertised. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated with all the amenities. However, words cannot capture how beautiful this place was in fall. We loved early morning paddles as the mist of the lake burned off in the sunrise. We loved walking the grounds and the road to see all the colours. The wood stove was cozy (even if we didn't always need it in the fall sunshine) and the views of the lake were perfect. So many cozy nooks in this cottage, I feel like we need to go back to get full enjoyment. Highly recommend.

Family Staycation at The Cove

Quintessential lake cottage vacation

The Cove is a beautiful cottage, lake and property. Cottage is spacious with excellent flex spaces to read, play games, etc. Cottage Is well equipped in all respects (e.g. kitchen, linens and towels, games, canoe, life jackets, etc). The lake is warm and clear, with great swimming off the dock or at the nearby shared-access beach. The owners’ gracious hospitality is apparent in their communication with guests and their attention to the cottage’s cleanliness, fabulous decor, and the small details that make The Cove a very special place. We look forward to booking this cottage again.

Sherbrooke lake magic!

Our short 3 night stay at the Cove was everything we had hoped and more. Communication with Meghan and Chris was easy and they were very responsive to our questions. The cottage is clean and absolutely all details have been considered. The decor is bright and magazine worthy! The open concept fully equipped kitchen was perfect for our group and the multiple outdoor spaces to use were relaxing and easy to enjoy the surrounding nature including hummingbirds, blue jays, chipmunks, loons and squirrels. The lake is clean and refreshing and the kids loved jumping off the dock. This rental is nothing short of magical and we would highly recommend it and hope to be back. Thanks Meghan and Chris for such a wonderful trip.

Awesome getaway

We loved this cottage. It has multiple outdoor spaces where you can drink coffee or have a cocktail. The lake is great for swimming. We were welcomed with many lovely touches - from fresh flowers to lovely candles and bathroom amenities to a "starter" package of items in the fridge.
