Beautiful fun home

Our whole extended family had such an amazing time staying at this beautiful home! Communication with the host / property manager was amazing and they helped us work through some initial technical issues and made our stay so memorable and fun. We look forward to coming back in the future.

What a wonderful home for a getaway

Walking distance to the beach in beautiful half moon bay. House was spacious, had toys, books and puzzles for my 5 and 3 year old, and they even stocked a couple of grocery items for us! We had a wonderful time.

Perfect place for friend or family gathering!

Beautiful home with a great view and well-equipped with more than the necessities. We were there for a reunion of grad school friends—the setting was perfect. We had perfect weather over 4th of July weekend.

The host was generous and she and the property manager were available to answer questions. The home was accurately represented: it was large, well-appointed and in a great location. Our group of 8 felt comfortable and at home.

Family reunion house

This house has it all! Walk to the beach, hot tub, fire pit. Tons of space for cooking and sleeping. 5th bedroom only has an air mattress so keep that in mind but we fit 4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 kids comfortably. We cooked meals in the large eat in kitchen. We ate at the ritz which is very close by.

Half Moon Bay Escape

The home is well laid out and handles a large family well. Very very quiet with splendid views of the ocean. Proximity to the coast and the Ritz were great, but the owners do need to share the key for the walking paths so that we could access them from the house instead of driving off property to do so. Super easy check out and the property manager very graciously offered to accommodate the family one more night due to the hurricane - force winds @ 70 MPH. Our flights were cancelled that day, as were most of the SFO flights! We appreciated the kindness extended and VRBO gets 5-star rating from us!

We can’t say enough how perfect the house was for us and our extended family. The house, the decor, the amenities, the views, the location all were more than we could have asked for. Ideal vacation!

The home was fabulous! The common area was much bigger than expected. Only a 5 minute walk to a remote beach. The location was ideal as it only took 30 -40 minutes to get to downtown via highway 1. I would stay here again!

Good for family

House was in a good neighborhood. Had enough yard for kids to run around in. Looks out over a golf course and you can see the ocean. Comfortable walk to beach but downhill and of course up hill again. House was well lived in. Clear owners have young kids. Lots of toys and a secret room off the kids room. Kitchen was stocked and we were encouraged to use what was there. Could not make the TV in living room work but there were other TV’s. No closet available in master bedroom. Grandson said he liked living in a mansion for a few days.

Beautiful stay for an engagement weekend!

We stayed here for a proposal/engagement weekend with friends and family and were blown away by the property! Gorgeous views (especially at sunset) and a wonderful location right in the heart of Half Moon Bay. Our host Tarah was great and incredibly responsive - she even left some celebratory wine for us! So thoughtful! I would definitely recommend this house for others looking in HMB. Thanks Tarah and Team!

Perfection!! Loved our stay!!

We absolutely loved our 4 nights we spent in this beautiful home! This amazing home was perfect for our family reunion of 5 children under the age of 6 and 6 adults. The kids loved the secret loft playroom upstairs! The idyllic gardens and backyard were perfect to let our little ones run and play, all while the adults could visit while overlooking the beautiful Pacific and Ritz Carlton golf course. It’s just a 5 minute walk to the Ritz , 10 mins to the Coastal Trail and beach, 45 mins into San Francisco. Downtown Half Moon Bay is charming too! We loved every minute of our stay. I only gave 3 stars on the accuracy of the listing due to the property description stating use of a communal pool is available for a fee. We had wanted that feature for the kids and didn’t find out that option was no longer available until a month before arrival. They did offer us the ability to cancel,. but hard to find a back up that late. That was the only disappointment, because the house and location was perfect! We had a wonderful family visit !! We highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful and Amazing!!

We had a few families in town from 3 different states to celebrate a couple of birthdays. This house was PERFECT! Lots of space, great location, beautiful scenery!!There is plenty of space for group cooking, sleeping, backyard activities, and more! The weekend flew by but we all enjoyed our time here. I think we may be making this an annual meet-up spot moving forward :)

This house has it all! Breathtaking views of the ocean and the golf course made for the perfect weekend. We spent the weekend celebrating an 80th birthday party, the house was great for all ages in our party. The house had all the amenities you could imagine needing in the vacation rental. Beautiful peaceful views, perfect for entertaining

This home exceeded our expectations in every way. The great room concept was cozy & comfortable with stunning views of the golf course & water. (Upstairs was even more breathtaking) We sat 10 in the dining room with comfortable seating that made it easy to sit back & relax. We planned "take out" for our first night because we couldn't imagine the kitchen would have everything we could possibly need. Trust me, it has more than enough for the gourmet cook! There were enough beds to sleep our 8 overnight guests comfortably & the linens were so soft we melted into them. So cozy after a long day! The patio was perfect to just sit back & relax. No need to drive over to the Ritz or to play golf, just an easy walk. Everything about this beautiful home was much more than we anticipated & now I'm trying to think of another reason to go back.

Beauty, Function, and Comfort

There were 11 in our party, ranging in age from 17-93. We used both air beds; they were very comfortable and so easy to inflate. We appreciated the generous supply of linens and blankets. We cooked a few large meals, and found the kitchen to be well stocked and well equipped--good knives, good cookware, good spices and basic ingredients. The owners very thoughtfully provided fresh, quality bread; milk; juice; butter; coffee;tea and more. The home was very spacious and beautiful while at the same time offering easy function and real comfort. The patio is such a pleasant place to gather--lots of room to recline and enjoy the view. The BBQ grill was a huge help with cooking, and the hot tub was pure bliss.

Wonderful Home, Location, and Hosts

This was worth the price for the experience. My family and I stayed at this home over the Labor Day weekend to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday and have a family reunion. The home was excellent for this celebration. There were 7 adults and 5 children (2-10 years old) and it was the perfect place for all. This host generously opens their home and allow you to treat it like their own... and they mean it. The home and the location made the event perfect. To have everyone under the same roof with plenty of room for the children to have fun and not disturb the adults, the sleeping arrangements were as advertised. We did have one issue with the dishwasher, which didn’t work and we had to hand wash a lot of dishes, but they responded appropriately to make it right. All things considered, I highly recommend this property. Thank you for sharing Eric and Terah and thank you Debbie for all your support and responsiveness.

Exceeded expectations.

The 13 of us ( 7 adults and 6 children) loved this wedding anniversary getaway. The house, the pool table, the hot tub and the firepit were enjoyed by all. The kitchen was a dream. 4 or 5 'chef's could could create at one time. The beach access is very close as is the Ritz-Carleton, your wedding setting. Most everyone went horseback riding on the beach and loved it. As you can tell we enjoyed every minute. On the last night, we celebrated with s'mores around the firepit.
