Bienvenido a Birdhouse

Birdhouse está ubicado en una propiedad de montaña con vistas de largo alcance dentro de una comunidad cerrada y tranquila. Es una cabaña de madera de 3 pisos con pisos de madera noble y techos de lengüeta y ranura en todas partes. Hay mucha luz natural y muchos espacios para disfrutar de las vistas a la montaña.

Birdhouse cuenta con un interior de cabina renovado con hermosas chimeneas de piedra y piezas de madera. Hay un montón de espacio para servir a toda la familia en la mesa de comedor de estilo banquete. We enjoyed a wonderful stay! Plenty of family gathering spaces as well as quiet reading nooks and space for reflection. Information about travel directions, specific house and neighborhood details, check in/out -- all thorough and clear to help with our planning. Clean and nice location. Definitely met all of our expectations!

This cabin was a lovely place for my family to stay over a wedding weekend. Without a doubt, the entire place was absolutely immaculately clean when we arrived. Hats off to Samantha, who was listed as the one who cleaned the cabin for our arrival. The drive up to the cabin is rather steep and curvy, so folks ought to be prepared for that. It was perfect for our needs plenty of room for multiple guests with ample bedrooms and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. The beds were incredibly comfortable and I appreciated that the master bedroom had a bathtub :-) there are lovely views from the porch that overlooks trees and a meadow in the distance. Definitely a terrific mountain getaway or even worth a week stay.I would love to come back and spend a longer period of time. The surrounding nature is beautiful and quiet communication with Carolina cabins was also excellent.

Great Family Get Away

The cabin was beautiful and the perfect get away to steal away with our family. It was quiet and removed but still within very reasonable distance to grocery stores and places to eat. Hiking and fishing spots were in abundance and easy to get to.

We love the location. The view from deck is awesome. The house is beautiful and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay during Graduation weekend. It's less than 15 minutes from Appalachian State University. Very convenient location.

Quiet peaceful cabin

Loved the cabin.the 2couches in upstairs living room are pretty worn out. Not too comfy. The king bed mattress downstairs also pretty worn. Supplying firewood wood be a nice touch.

Great property for families

The Birdhouse was a perfect getaway! The house had everything we needed and was in a great location. The prior reviews mentioned the driveway and I am so glad I read them, we were prepared. We are already looking into when we will be able to return!

Spacious Cabin Get-Away

This beautiful cabin is just like it’s pictured! Lots of space (we had 7 adults and 2 dogs) and we were never tripping over each other! Definitely need a SUV to get up the winding steep driveway (but you are up in the mountains)! Great place and would rent again.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat

Scheduled a short getaway while our adult children came to town for a visit. This was the perfect place to relax and spend some quality time as a family. Beautiful property, the house was warm and inviting and the deck was amazing! Ultra clean and felt homey. Appliances were top notch and great for making a family meal. A True Getaway!

A true getaway, yet just minutes from Boone. Cozy cabin with not one but 2 wood burning fireplaces, one of which is just off the game room. Had no problems with wifi or satellite tv! Well equipped kitchen for home chef! Will book again!

Postcard Stay

So happy with our choice of this home for our 2024 family Christmas tree harvest. Incredible property, well maintained, clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds, tons of extra pillows & blankets. TV’s with satellite service was a nice bonus. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, baking sheets, even some spices! We had the best time! Nights spent by the wood burning fireplace, playing games at the huge dining table created lots of hilarious core memories that are so important to staying connected in this busy world we live in. Thank you!

Wonderful Family Find

This house was perfect for the whole family with a nice large deck with plenty of seating and grill. 3 stories so everyone had their own space. Kitchen was well stocked. Pool table was a big hit as well! The leather furniture throughout the home was SO comfortable and very aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for sharing your home for such a reasonable price! Michelle

Everything was just as it was listed

We were in NC for a family wedding in Boone. This home was a great location to the event and many other shopping, hiking, and other activities. The house is just as it is listed. A bigger car is needed to tackle the driveway, which is mentioned. We had everything we needed to cook and stay in when we wanted to. Pool table and the large selection of books were also a hit.

Great place to share time with friends

The cabin has a great layout and is well appointed. It has enough communal space but also areas you can retreat to for a nap or reading a book. The driveway is an adventure. All in our party were adept in four wheel drive and mountain driving, but it was an intimidating climb. The only complaints we have is that the hot water tank made ALOT of noise when taking a hot showers and there weren’t any real checkout instructions. Neither of which would prevent us from returning!

Steep driveway

Absolutely wonderful experience at a beautiful cabin. I only wish the listing mentioned that the gravel driveway is very steep. It was not easy for me to drive up in my front wheel drive car after a big rain. Thankfully, we had 2 cars between the 5 of us and the other car was a Jeep. Aside from not wanting to make the last turn of the driveway, our experience was wonderful.

College Move In

We stayed at Birdhouse during the move in of our daughter to her first apartment in Mountaineer Village. She is a sophomore at App and the family came along as a mini-vacay and move in support. The house was beautiful, clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked for all of our needs. The house is close to App and downtown Boone so very easy to access all the area has to offer. Birdhouse was open to our daughter’s dog for a few nights but we found that walking the dog was challenging with the slope of the property and minimal yard space. The driveway was definitely steep for our sedan and mini SUV (Nissan Rogue).Other than those minor issues, the house was perfect!!

Great home, NO Long-Range Views

First, I wanna say that we really enjoyed our time at this property. For the good: The home was clean, cool, plenty of space where everyone had their own privacy, pretty stable WiFi considering you’re in the mountains, enough hot water for showers, and a great deck everyone could sit outside on comfortably. And location! It is in the most perfect location, close to everything we wanted to do any explore. For the bad: The main reason we chose this property was for the “long-range views” as specifically stated in the listing of this property. I wish I could upload a picture but the trees are so over grown that there are NO long-range views. It’s been over a year since we’ve been to the mountains and we were really excited about this only to be extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I understand trees and foliage are gonna do their thing and grow, but if you’re gonna promote a “long-range view” in your listing then it needs to be accurate. Some much needed trimming needs to be done to those trees. Last thing, the beds were rock hard, it was hard to get a restful sleep. Even my husband who enjoys a more firm mattress woke up each day with back pain. However, at the end of the day we all had a great time.

Beautiful spacious cabin!

Loved our 5 night stay in this cabin. Very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. A new wrap around deck has been added that wasn’t shown in the photos….a nice surprise! Amazing views. We spent lots of time sitting out on this deck. Bed are very comfortable and kitchen has everything you need. Driveway could be a problem in the winter without 4 wheel drive. It was a great stay! Thank you.

Dream Home away from home

The properly did not disappoint. It was clean, well maintained, spacious and everything worked. The internet signal was good, had great water pressure and the beds were comfortable. The location was great BUT the gravel driveway is quite steep for a regular vehicle and there was no traction. We got stuck and we ended up packing at the bottom of the driveway. Other than that we had a great experience.

Beautiful home in a great location!

This house is amazing!! You can tell it is professionally cleaned before and after each stay, the house was immaculate. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The bed room descriptions were accurate with 2 king suites (both with private bath), and two queen bedrooms (one with an additional daybed) on the top floor with shared hall bathroom. The bedrooms were all large and spacious. One thing that is not mentioned in the description and was a pleasant surprise was that the homeowners recently added a new, large outdoor deck that overlooks the front of the house and has Adirondack chairs for lounging. We had a great time sitting out there with a cup of coffee in the morning! The main level seating room was so cozy and had comfortable furniture with plenty of seating. The pool room in the basement level was so much fun! Location is fantastic and in a gated community. About 12 min drive to Boone and major grocery stores, Walmart, etc. 25 min drive to Blowing Rock and 25 min drive to Grandfather mountain. The gravel driveway leading up to the house is steep. But we had no problem driving our two front-wheel drive sedans up to the house (granted, we stayed in the summer. I would say 4WD is required in the winter months). Overall, a great place to spend 4th of July weekend. We would love to stay here again in the future!
