Great Family Spot

Great house that suited our needs and budget. Great games to play, fabulous porches and views. Everything we needed was there including linens and kitchen supplies. Would definitely stay again!

After 9 1/2 years we finally had a family vacation and it was our first beach trip with our 3 year old granddaughter. The location was great even though there were more mosquitoes than I normally deal with at the beach. The house was well cleaned. It was walking distance to the beach. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, which came in handy because we don’t like to eat out a lot. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful from rooftop deck. We definitely enjoyed ourselves as we always do.

This is a great simple stay! A very short walk to the ocean access at the end of the street gets you to a wide, beautiful beach a mole walk from Avon pier and its shop amenities. Lots to do very close to the house, good restaurants nearby, walk to DQ at the other end of the street. Place has a comfy family room and e bedrooms, 2 full baths and a beach shower underneath. Nice dining table and well-stocked kitchen. Everything worked well, but no pantry, so bring everything including salt and pepper. Lovely welcome gift. Surf and Sound Reality Co was great to work with!

Perfect property and listing

This was a perfect house for my wife and I, and for my adult son and his girlfriend. Loved that our pooches were welcome as well. House was mere minutes from the beach, and had all of the amenities that were listed, and everything that we needed! 10/10 will stay again!

It is a nice place to stay. Cozy and clean cottage. The kitchen was phenomenal. I would have liked a better sofa and the toilets sat so low to the ground that older people have a hard time getting off of them. Overall it was a very relaxing stay and we enjoyed our time despite the terrible weather we had.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and just big enough for the 6 of us. Only issues, besides the fact that the fish weren't biting, were the low toilets and the hot water was way too hot. The toilets we had read about in the reviews so no surprise. You had to be very careful of the hot water, it could scald you. I worry about little children. Overall it was great.

Simple little house

This is nice home, not too fancy but perfect for a week away with a small family and a dog. The distance to the beach is perfect - less than 5 minutes to my beach chair. It is at the North end of Avon so if you want to be closer to 'town' you have to walk, ride or drive a mile or so - we walked daily and it was not a problem at all. Only complaint about the house was the lack of cabinet space, or any space to put food, with a family of 5 we shopped at Food Lion and had no cabinets for storage. Other than that we had a great week, perfect weather and the house was perfect for us.

Wonderful Home

This isn’t a fancy home, but it has the best beds going! The master bedrooms bed is so nice and firm, my back hasn’t felt this good in a very long time! The kitchen has an electric element that is slanted, but all are I suppose. Kitchen is very well equipped. The deck was great! The house is listed as smoking but doesn’t smell like it at all. Although I do smoke I did so out on the deck....just didn’t want it to smell inside. Thank you so much for a great vacation with my son!!

Hush puppy home in Avon

Great location however the home needs updated. Furniture is old and needs a recliner. Curtains in bedroom and bathroom need to be blinds, not think curtains. Refrigerator needs to be replaced not being cold enough and sign says not to turn down or it will freeze up and stop working. Outside furnishings need to be replaced.

Old fashion beach house

If you are looking for a old fashion house this is the one for you. Including the screen door which will slam hard just like Grandma’s! House very clean but had a musty mouse odor. Kitchen well stocked even with pan for lobster! Can only see the ocean from tower along with all the other house tower’s surrounding. Very dark kitchen and dining area. All appliances work well. Quiet area with lovely covered porch which looks over the house next door garage. All houses are very close together so good it is quiet. Very close to food stores and restaurants. Beach is fantastic! Take a kite! They are to expensive to buy a new one. Prices are very high. Fishing was very poor, bait was very expensive! But I was glad to support the fishermen who caught the bait, even if it was shipped from another state.The TV in the living room would not hook up to cable but did work for DVT. The house was warm when needed and cool when needed. All in all, the entire house could use a update. But it was a comfortable house and we love that area.

Checking in and out was such a breeze. The house was perfect for my family. Very clean, everything was easy to find. Close to attractions we were looking for. Definitely a great place to stay.

NO Crowds on Beaches

I did enjoy the Outer Banks. The house we chose need some work on the outside chairs some was rusted and danger to sit in and also the wood tables and chairs had bees building nest under them. The biggest upset was when booking this house the pictures it shows at booking you can see the ocean view ; not true more houses has been built in front of this home. Need to update photos' for this home not to miss lead anyone. I would rent again through this agent but not this home due to location not able to see any views.

Great place with an old school wood paneling style my family loved. Easy to get in an out of with a super view from the top deck.

Great Vacation

We had a great time at this property. It had everything we needed. The only negative i had was it was difficult to locate the exact house because there was no visible number on the house. The realator sign was the only number on the house and this was hidden by a bush.

Great spot for a quiet getaway

Other reviews are correct in that it’s not fancy, but does the trick. The kitchen was stocked with almost anything you’d need. The best part was how close it was to the beach and how quiet! The biggest issue was the cleanliness. It definitely needs a more thorough cleaning between guests. It didn’t seem like the floors had been swept or vacuumed at all and the couch needs a deep cleaning. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay.
