It was okay. The furniture in the room is way outdated. It's not very clean. It's a corner first floor. It's really not what expected Place in general is very nice. Close to the beach but the one we got maybe was the worst unit on the entire building

Three generations

It was a rainy weekend, but the kids had a wonderful time in the pool. The condo was very comfortable and just right for our group. Nothing fancy, but we had a wonderful time!!

Gearhart Beach

The location was absolutely great and the indoor pool and hot tub were a nice added bonus. We enjoyed our visit and inquired about future availability during our checkout. We will be staying again in the future.

Great place to stay with family

Much larger than we were expecting! It definitely smells musty but you get used to it. The bathrooms really need an update but the rooms are big with two nice balcony’s. It was so nice to have a kitchen since we had kids and didn’t always want to go out. The check in process was easy, mcmenamins is next door so you can walk over for a drink or food and the area seems like a nice place to stay. There is a great pool as well! We would absolutely stay again!

Quiet nice place

We had a lot of fun! The kids loved the pool. The neighborhood is quiet. There is a view of the ocean from the slider in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The twin beds could use a little update (they did have foam pads that could be used on the beds). The king bed is comfortable & there is a slider in that room. The bathrooms could use an update on the vanities and the shower heads, but it is functional. We would stay here again! Thank you.

Great trip to Seaside/Gearhart

Our family of four (along with two teen friends) enjoyed our trip to Gearhart. Among the valued amenities included a well-stocked kitchenette, a spacious great room for dining and watching TV, a closet full of board games and DVDs, access to a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, and comfy beds. There is also a McMenamins across the street for easy access to a restaurant with dine-in or takeout meal options. The unit could use a little TLC - the top dishwasher rack was broken and one of the toilets kept running. In the end these were minor items of concern that did not overshadow our stay. We would stay here again.

Good Budget Option

Overall, it is average and I would stay again if the price was less than comparable rentals. This one is a value because it is so close to the beach; however, there is no view of the ocean from the condo. Everything was clean and in working order. The bathrooms are decades old with very low shower heads It was quiet and the nice indoor pool was no more than 5-minutes away. The coffee maker is drip - bring your own coffee. No one in my group could log on to the provided Wi-Fi.

Great location & communication but could you some updating and TLC

We stayed just two nights here as part of an 11 day trip in Oregon and Northern, CA. The location was outstanding and the communication with the host was great. There's also a solid restaurant at the Golf course across the street. That said, the unit could use an investment in updating. The bathroom counters are in very bad shape, the showers required all but my youngest to stoop down in order to wash our hair and seemed to have been designed for someone maybe 5 feet tall, max. The kitchen is also fairly dated. We also ran into a couple of issues w/ the smoke alarms going off, requiring us to have maintenance come out as well as with the pass code not working after the first time we used it, requiring us to procure a key from the management of the unit. This was not a big deal and they were very responsive and accommodating but it would have been easier to have the key to begin with. The pillows and towels provided were also old and the pillows were very thin. Finally, my wife found hair in the corner of our bathroom which she found unsettling and she wouldn't walk around the unit without her flip flops on. The kids enjoyed the pool, and being so close to the beach was great! While the location was outstanding, I suspect there are better units in the development. We just got one that could use a little TLC. I'd go back to the property but would not rent this particular unit again. Ideally, I'd give it a 3.5 but wouldn't give it a 4, so that is why we gave it a 3.

Great location

Location was great. It was nice to be a little out of Seaside but close enough to drive in for dinner/entertainment. Even though we couldn't see the ocean from our room the beach was only a short walk away which was awesome and an added bonus that it was never crowded! The condo was a nice set-up for my family of 5 but like others have said the bathrooms are in desperate need of an update. The painted countertops were peeling...there was also a pile of dirt by the entryway when we arrived like it had been swept there but then not thrown away. The main room sliding glass door also needs to be fixed, it was very difficult to open and close. Overall though I would probably stay there again, it was affordable, linens were clean, and it was a great size.

Perfect and cozy stay for our family

We had a wonderful time staying in Gearhart. The condo was exactly what we needed for a weekend home away from home and the beach access right down the road was so much fun. We enjoyed having a less populated beach area to visit with our small kids. Getting to drive along the beach at night was a first for us but our kids had a blast beach strolling with headlamps in the dark.

Wonderful Place

My mom, brother, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gearhart by the sea. Although our spot was on the first floor we had a great view from our balcony and the space was comfortable and accessible for my mom, who uses a wheelchair. The pool and hot tub are fun and the resort area is a great place to walk around and has great views of the water.

Spring Break 2022

A relatively inexpensive place to stay. Another reviewer said it best "You get what you pay for". We did overall enjoy the place. It is close to the beach a quick walk down a not so busy road. We as a family enjoyed the pool and there is a small park outside as well, that we were unaware of, so that was a nice surprise. However, the Paint peeling off the bathroom counters is not good and the should be replaced or fixed ASAP. The bathrooms NEED to be updated. The shower heads are very low so a tall person would have a hard time taking a shower. They could also use a good scrub cleaning around the base of the tub. We used the pull out bed on the couch and did not find sheets for it, but we were able to find extra blankets and made that work. The pull out bed is not super comfy but not the worse out there. The balconies could also used updated patio chairs and the deck could use a good scrub. There are kids puzzles which my 2 & 4 year old enjoyed.

Cozy for the price.

You get what you pay for. The condo was not disgusting but it wasn't clean either. Paint peeling off the bathroom counters, carpet looked pretty stained, the couch a bit dingy. The pictures online were not current. It took hours to heat up the condo because of baseboard heaters. There was dirty fingerprints on my dresser and all the dishes were poorly washed. That being said, once it heated up, it was quite cozy and we enjoyed ourselves. We washed each dish before we used it, wiped off the furniture, listened to the high winds and rain and just relaxed. It fit in our budget so we made it work and enjoyed ourselves. Hope you enjoy yourself too!

Thanksgiving 2021

Check-in was easy. The property has a great location, easy walk to the local beach and short drives North and South to popular spots. The condo is spacious and worked perfect for our family of six.

Great place

It's an older condo but is clean and inviting with lots of great added bonuses. We loved the location within the building and the proximity to the beach.

Nice Place, Great Location

This was a nice place for my family to stay. The location is great, easy walk to the beach. If you like golfing, the Gearhart Golf Links is right there and is a fun course. The unit was pretty clean. Being close to the ocean, just plan on nothing drying. It would be great if the unit had a washer and dryer in it but there are some at the facility. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We do wish they would have pool towels at the pool but you get them at the front desk and they ask you to re-use them. Nothing dries due to the humidity so they were always wet. Overall, it was a nice stay.
